Around 2 pm I attempted to post a rather lengthy comment on the "Against conservative wimpiness" thread, but didn't get through. Let's see how this one does...testes, testes, one two, one two....
Micheal Yon reports that the latest offensive against al Qaeda in Iraq is not a "hearts-and-mind" operation. US forces have cornered insurgents in Diyala and have no intention of offering the option of surrender.
"Big fights are ahead and we will take serious losses probably, but al Qaeda, unless they find a way to escape, are about to be slaughtered. Nobody is dropping leaflets asking them to surrender. Our guys want to kill them, and that’s the plan."
My son gets injured at school by a bully. We have to go to see the doctor who sends us to ER upon seeing damage. ER wants us back tomorrow for more tests... Numerous ice packs and painkillers later my son can walk w/o support. Now, he is in detention because he subdued his coward attacker, who kicked him repeatedly from behind.
In a meeting with the principal she says, that her school policy is more superior than the Charter and Criminal code.
A superintendent calls me back after a letter of complaint was sent to the school board requiring to expell the bully according to the Safe Schools Act 309.1.3. She is refusing to expell the bully, because 'he is school age and has to study'. When I asked her which part of 'non-discretionary expulsion' she did not understand, she replied: 'The laws cannot be taken literally'...
I was speechless for a moment.
If that was the case, I'd be carrying a concealed loaded handgun 24/7 with a full cap whatever, 15-17 round magazine - the laws cannot be taken literally!
We should not allow the people, who have no respect for superiority of the law near our children!!!

Why is Warren Kinsella all in knots over the iPhone ??
[ And: the iPhone is "that thin wafer of delight." And: "Every blog, every tech magazine, Heck every national magazine, is foaming at the mouth about the iPhone." And "You'll be cool if you buy one." And: it is the "Jesus phone." And: it is "the most-anticipated consumer product in the history of time." And so on. ] WK.
Could it be because Apple's iPhone may overtake the Blackberry ???
So ?? Why such a thorn under the saddle ??
Could it be this;

And this from Wikipedia;
[ The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is a not-for-profit, non-partisan think tank based in Waterloo, Ontario that conducts research, holds conferences, and publishes working papers and books, and makes policy recommendations on international governance issues. CIGI was founded by Jim Balsillie, who, together with Mike Lazaridis, his co-CEO at Research in Motion (RIM), made a donation in 2002 to establish the centre. In 2003, the Government of Canada provided a matching grant.

Name the town and superintendent. They deserve to be outed. Why are you holding back?
Proof, the media is completely occupied by leftists.
Hear that Exile, Ted, Dawg, and other assorted liars?
Breaking: Media Favor Dems (LGF, MSNBC)
It’s almost flying pig-worthy, because it comes from MSNBC: the list of journalists’ campaign contributions, from 2004 through the first quarter of 2007.
At least 90% of the donations are to Democrats. Imagine, if you will, my surprise.
Of course, an investigation like this need not even be done in occupied Canada.
Somehow, CP knows who 1000 Decima survey repsondents are when Dion gets bashed.
"Harper, helped in no small part by the overwhelming support of Conservative-leaning respondents, was the preferred choice in four of five activities."
The town is Brampton, ON
Brisdale public school principal's name is Susanna Budetic-Borges.
The superintendent for Brampton-North field office is Judy Masey.
The letter was sent to the name of Jim Grieve, director of education and no reply was received.
Government always lies to John Q public, [that is you and I], about any stealth action , whether it is private or terrorist cell related.
I listened to seasoned senior ambulance attendants, who after checking out the residues on the bus, came down with convulsions, vomiting and diarrhea.
BC public health officer Blatherwick proclaimed the whole incident a case of mass hysteria. The story was dropped and I forgot about it until hearing a documentary today.
The professional ambulance people stated they were surprised and angered with Blatherwick*s blanket mass hysteria label of the bus incident.
The Hasmet crew found traces of Methylchloride on the bus. Blatherwick claimed that was possible due to bus materials.
The bus driver and the woman passenger sitting behind him both came down with vomiting and symptoms just as the ambulance people who attended did.
The lady gave evidence that she heard someone leaving the bus telling the driver his day would get worse. There was suggestion of an aerosol mist from the sleeve of the departing passenger.
The point of all this is that Government policy is ** Keep the Public in the dark**.
This is US government policy as well. There was a Muslim cell of five ex-cons in LosAngeles on a two week robbery spree who were discovered through a dropped cellphone. Upon raiding their apartment , an array of weapons and maps with government buildings marked as targets, were found.
Nothing much in coverage except a small piece in the LA Times.
Something to keep in mind when things in the news seem odd.= TG

I don't like to answer abusive posts but I'll make an exception. Journalists do not control the media. They don't control content or editorial policy. If you want to see the ideological bias of the media, look at who owns it and look at the content. If you apply those criteria to Canada, our media are overwhelmingly right wing. I agree, though, that our country is "occupied". (By the way, I don't consider the Democrats to be "leftists", nor does most of the world.)
The owners don't control each and every word in each and every article written. If they did, there would be no reason for Ford cars to be pieces of shit they were - there is no difference between running a newspaper or car factory from the management perspective. If Ford Motors is incapable of quality control, the same goes for media.

I am not so sure they are. I made a post on this thread:

Funny, it showed up (after a wait of about 30 minutes and many refreshes). Anyway, feel free to delete this post and the one above it.

The Democrats and Liberals are no longer what they were. By the standards of just 20 years ago, they are indeed socialists and tilting further.
"...our media are overwhelmingly right wing."
Joke of the day.
Owners of media run a business, paid for with ads.
Editors are responsible for the 'tone' of the paper.
Whatever you may think of Rupert Murdoch or Conrad Black, there is clearly a difference in what motivates them vs. MSM headline editors.
