Actually, the column that Warren Kinsella is praising was written by Greg Weston. Toronto Sun May 13. It was a vicious attack on Harper and the Conservatives.

Weston trivialized and essentially ignored Monaghan's violation of the public trust and called his sending a document marked 'secret' to select environmental activists and the media as nothing more than 'leaking Tory Propaganda'.

Monaghan's arrest for this theft of the document and its publication was defined by Weston as an action of a 'police state'. Again, Weston utterly ignored Monaghan's violation of the public trust and of his oath of employment. And how about defining a Motion for the House as 'Tory Propaganda'?

Weston completely ignored Monaghan's act of taking it upon himself to make a unilaterial decision about the value of the motion (he's not elected; and he's not hired by us to make those decisions); his contempt for parliament which was denied the right to debate the motion without the emotional hysteria of the pre-warned activists and MSM.

The fact that Monaghan breached his terms of employment, prevented a reasoned debate in the House, took it upon himself to make a unilaterial decision about a debatable Motion, violated the public trust - none of that was of interest to Weston. Or Kinsella for that matter. Weston just used the event to 'Bash Harper' and declare that he was turning Canada into a 'police state'.

I sent him a nasty note; no reply.

Weston has become a hack. Remember when he wrote balanced stories? I believe it was before he was left off Mr. Harper's Christmas party guess list.
His attacks against Mr. Harper's government have been breath-taking since then. Just another reason (Copps/Margolis) that I save a dollar a day and don't waste money on the Sun media.

The hacks in the media are a bunch of sore heads because they can't have their way with Harper.
The Liberals were real palsy with them, the beer and wine flowed freely, well, that is before they went broke.

It's outrageous the utter lies and general low grade vitriol spewed by the MSM. It's nothing but an ongoing vendetta against Harper. There is not one thing in the world he could do to get fair press, including the truth in reporting.

The good part is they are not getting away with it at least not with bloggers!

One would have to be a true idiot to assume Harper or anyone could tolerate the abuse leveled at them by the MSM and still give them the time of day.
