So instead, a photo of new Champion Minuteman Death Valley Days, who was the reason I was pre-writing posts in the first place. He finished his title in Winnipeg on Friday.
When the second dog with me (a friend's) also completed his title yesterday, I was able to pack up and head home early. Finally pulled over near Indian Head last night to crash for a few hours, and I'm still a bit buzzy - so there won't be anything new from me for a few more hours.

I always wondered how they get those crazy names, but I'm too lazy to google it. Oh well.
My dogs were always named things like Sam, Tina, B.J., Ginger and Barney. Farm dogs don't get four names.
Purebred dogs require unique names to keep the registry straight.
Otherwise, he answers to "Sarge".

Unique, yes, but how do you get those names? I mean, my dog could really be called "Lord Filbert Weak Bladder" -- would that fly with the registry? Or is it like horses, when you take the sire and dam into account?
The prefix "Minuteman" is my kennel name and attached to all the dogs I breed. That identifies them to other breeders that they're mine. That is especially important to people reading pedigrees in the future - it identifies from which "family" certain ancestors are from, and that tells a knowledgable breeder a lot about the traits/faults common to it.
The "Death Valley Days" was an old TV Western. I name my litters according to themes, so he has brothers called Ch.Minuteman Shotgun, Ch.Minuteman Dead Or Alive, etc.
Show championship titles go ahead of the name, obedience and other performance titles go after the name as they are earned.
Ah, "Death Valley Days", one of the best Westerns ever shown on TV, back in the 50's and 60's. Each program was based on a historical re-telling of some American Western history. Drama and entertainment worth watching!
And a connected trivia question, which former actor and US President was for a season or two, a host of "Death Valley Days"?
