Hagersville Native occupation was illegal but allowed to occur by Queen's Park:

"I followed the events throughout the day yesterday.

The most striking moment for me was when the elder of the Mississauga New Credit Reserve confronted the occupiers. He pointed out to them rightfully that they were occupying land that was not theirs in the first place. He pointed out that this was Mississauga New Credit land that was sold to settlers in the 1900s.

Six Nations people have no right on this land. "

Cherniak just posted that he is at Pearson waiting for Dion to drive him around Southerrn Ontario, but his "status" as stated on his site describes him as, "drinking with the team".

Drinking and driving Mr. Cherniak? tsk, tsk. Even if he was drinking the night before, how can we be sure his BAL is under 0.08?

Someone needs to take a screenshot.

National Post's Don Martin is pathological in his hatred for Stephen Harper. Today, he equates Huseyin Celil with last week's failed suicide bomber in Afghanistan, in order to have another stick to beat Harper with. Why the Post keeps this Belinda-snorfer on the payroll, I'll never know:

So when a report comes out saying that the Sponsorship scandal is a factor in Canada's lagging productivity Liberal John McCallum responds by saying that the Conservatives cutting the GST from 7% to 6% was one factor, but not Liberal corruption.

So by John's logic, if a 7% GST is better for productivity than a 6% GST, wouldn't a 10% GST be EVEN BETTER? Is that what you're saying John?

I went online Gov't of Ont. to notify & make an address change for my Driver's Lics & Health Card, Here's the thing, The McGuinty Gov't changed the Trillium Logo What last summer, fall something like that at a cost of Millions, The opposition & taxpayers were up in arms as there was nothing wrong with the old logo a petition was even started but to no avail Mcguinty got his friends at a downtown toronto firm to design & proceed. Now this was last year? The thing is the Goverment of Ontario site Still Uses the Old Logo,Why? so What has happened? Would they not change their Site First? Why has it not changed? Change of Heart? Has this been swept under the carpet & nobody will notice or is this another Liberal Friendly Ad Firm getting a Thanks, afterall their federal cousins know the intricate workings of how to say thanks to advert firms.

"What really is wrong with trying to keep a lid on drug use in Canada?
Alan Ferguson, The Province
Published: Thursday, May 24, 2007
The Harper government's new anti-drug policy has yet to be officially announced, but already it is being savaged by those adamantly opposed to Conservative thinking on the subject."
Why ?? Simple. The decades long 'liberal' thinking of 'reward failure'.

"There are an estimated 5,000 addicts in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside -- a tragically high number for sure, but trifling compared to those potentially at risk.'"
Like, maybe, all those innocent kiddies in our school yards ??

"Stephen Harper is intent on directing the bulk of the government's resources toward preventing the spread of addiction and cracking down on the parasites who fuel the drug trade."
Anyone argue with that ?? Besides the MSM ??

"The government[PMSH] doesn't buy the logic of using taxpayers' money to facilitate the continuing consumption of illegal substances.

The Tories would rather spend it to crack down on grow-ops and dealers, provide better treatment facilities and fund a much-needed drug-prevention program."
All in favour ?? Any opposed ?? Besides the media.

"There is a powerful case for tolerance toward those who become addicted. But there is an equally strong case for creating and sustaining a community mindset that refuses to accept drugs as an unavoidable hazard of life."
Stand up for our kids. Any opposed ??

Kinsella in the National Post today:

"It is most popular there because it accords with the nostalgic American notion that with hard work, talent and moxie, one will always accomplish great things. That's a load of hooey, of course, and so too is American Idol."

Might as well do drugs all day, as the Liberal strategist says, trying to accomplish anything by hard work, talent and moxie is a load of hooey.

A "nostalgic American notion"!

It is amazing, isn't it, how the 'liberal' blogs are exposing their loosing mindset syndrome :)

TORONTO (CP) - The mayor of Toronto and Ontario's community safety minister are calling for a ban on handguns.

Speaking at an unrelated announcement today, minister Monte Kwinter said it's "unconscionable" that people have access to firearms. He called on the federal government to ban handguns in the wake of the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old Toronto high school student.
That didn't take long now did it? Of course it couldn't be THEIR fault for letting gangs get out of control!

OMMAG: Ya scooped me! ;-)

The body isn't cold on this one or the perp in custody before these two degenerate socialist demagogues are puking out their utopian cures for problems that degenerate socialist justice systems cause in the forst place.

Climbers get the cold shoulder [Global warming?]

Awash in snow, path to Pikes Peak summit proving dangerous
Last May, Teresa Taylor was watching climbers pad up to the summit of Pikes Peak in shorts and sneakers. This year, she’s warning everyone that beyond Barr Camp, you’d better be dressed for the worst.
This is the snowiest spring on Pikes Peak in more than a decade. Barr Camp recorded 231 inches of snow this winter. (It only saw 50 inches in 2006.)
Hikers venturing above treeline will find that the peak is more wintry this May than it usually is in January, and they should be prepared.
“The snow is still waist-deep in places, and we just got more today,” Taylor, the caretaker at Barr Camp, said Wednesday. Every day, she warns people that the trail is buried.
Some climbers listen — she persuaded a dozen Texans in jeans to turn back Sunday. But some climbers don’t. ...-

UN Knew Of Arms In Refugee Camp

The continuing battle in the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr el-Bared in northern Lebanon has raised many questions about the spread of radical Islam and its ties to Syria and Iran. However, one question seems to elude most of the major media outlets, which is how an armed terrorist group managed to establish itself in a UN refugee camp at all.

The UN now admits that it has known for months of the Fatah Islam group’s existence and its acquisition of arms in the UNRWA camp: ...-

Did anyone issue an Al Gore alert for Manitoba today?

Frost warning out for Winnipeg tonight.

http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/mb-38_metric_e.html

Cbc's politics show with susan bonner just had about 15 minutes on banning handguns. Obviously it is best to get the masses to think the gun is the culprit right off the bat. This way if the shooter turns out to be another thug with 30 previous convictions, well the good people of Ontario will be focused on those damn gun-loving neo-cons who allowed little johnny to have a gun.

If the govmit makes guns illegal, only the illegals will have guns. Cool.

Our country would then resemble the tragic classroom shootings. Defenceless winnies against free roaming thugs.

Bring in a policy of 'tough-on-crime', verging on a 'shoot-to-kill-the-offending-gunman', and then a hand gun ban may, may make sense. There are countires in this ole' world that have crime rates approaching zero.

Time to jamb a bar in the revolving door.

Think liberals will ever get tough on crime ?

Without crime, drugs, gangs, protestors, punks in school yards, ... what, oh what, would the liberal friends in the media have to zoom in on ?? Literaly.

La la la, it was a nice day today, Canadians went to work, came home, had a barbeque. The kids played in the school yard, no punks in sight. All night, all was well. Birds chirping in the morning. The homeless are happy now that drugs are off the street and they have money for groceries instead. Universities are safe. Ever since the last looser was mowed down by the Profs semi-auto. That was years ago. Forests are doing well now that all the newspapers have ceased wasting paper.......

Well, Ahnie, and the rest of you California greenies. Just make sure that the power that's recharging those batteries comes from clean nuke generators. Wouldn't want to tarnish that green electric truck image by fueling it with coal or gas fired generation loaded with the evil GHGs.

Better go easy on the MSM, including Travesty, Martin, et al.

Infidels, you are infidels

Journalists are infidels too. Austin Bay looks at a Charlie Rose interview with Iraqi journalists who explain why Islamic radicals target newspapermen. "The reason why these attacks against the media the media itself and journalism is seen by Islamists and fanatics as something invented by the West. It (journalism) is not an invention of Islam. They regard as something you should not do. It is only infidels that go into journalism and into the media. That’s actually the main reason. If you say you are a journalist you are saying you are an infidel." ...-

Provincial Government could cut massive fuel waste with a dual vehicle insurance policy. [ Car and Truck ]

If you can find me a vehicle that can tow my horse trailer full of horses that is more green, I am all for it. Unfortunately none of the 'green' machines can do that. Even the truck I have is barely making it, I have to get a bigger stronger truck next year...I don't like the gas mileage I get, but I can't afford to have two vehicles licensed either.

How about this, ICBC lets us have one licence for two vehicles, and I only drive one of them at a time. I only need to tow the horse trailer on weekends, then during the week I could drive the vehicle that is greener and cheaper to run. If that happens, I would pay out the money to buy a second vehicle, but as long as I have to pay for insurance for both of them to be able to drive them, then that isn't ever going to happen. If I pay insurance on a vehicle, it is not going to sit in my yard while I drive the other one!!!

TonyGuitar said...
The quick remedy for this is a single license / insured plate that can be transferred between both vehicles.

That way, only one can be driven under said insurance policy at any given time.

If one of the vehicles is sold then a transfer for the new one can occur just as with the single vehicle coverage. = TG
