Richard, I think your number is too high. I recently saw 2.6 million Muslims in the US - can't find the link again, but that sounds about right. 65% are foreign born from the Pew poll.
The Pew question was "Can suicide bombings of civilian targets to defend Islam be justified?"
Killing "civilians" was not a misunderstanding. The question was clearly stated. There is no moral justification for that answer. If they asked a question like, 'Would you be willing to become more environmentally friendly if there was virtually no additional cost or work involved in doing so?', and the results of the poll were the same as the one above, the MSM would be all over the 26% of respondants who said they wouldn't change.

I googled "muslim population in the united states" and clicked on the first link (after "news") which directed me to a site called islam101 dot com. They're estimating between 5 and 8 million. I split the difference for argument's sake.
You can use your 2.6 million number if you'd like but it still leaves roughly 2 cells/city.
That would equate to about 60,000 cells.
I don't know about you but one cell in the entire country is too many.
