A cool military gadgets blog - "the stuff you weren't issued but that you couldn't have done without during your military life".

Somebody should start one of these for dog shows, but in reverse - "the crap you keep loading in the van that you never ever use, but figure you bet take just in case."

Funny, when the step kid got back. One of his first comments was he'd learned to carry a lot less stuff. Bullets were more important!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, MG3... Can you say wall of lead? The best Machine gun I have ever fired, hands down. It is followed closely by the FN C6, Canada's equivalent though.

I already have the Swiss army pocket tool and a multi tool and LED flach light but that MG3 looks like a tasty antique to try out shooting rats at the local dump ;-)

I don't know about a dog show van but if it is anything like my camera bag, bigger only means more room to pack in stuff you just might but never will use.

Have the Gerber and the Swiss AK but I haven't gotten a MG3, yet. God bless Texas, eh.

Aaaahh! A simpler, more courageous time (before pissy-assed, urban, wealthy, Starbucks sipping soccer moms and shrieking asshole journalists decided guns are complete evil).

I remember going along with my brother shooting rats at the dump in our home town in Saskatchewan. By the time I got old enough to get my own firearm & do it the wuss-police had all but outlawed guns. So the RCMP wouldn't let us shoot. (They didn't mind doing it THEMSELVES though.)

Now, I (and my daughter - when she's older) will have to buy an illegal gun at an Indian reserve with a home made silencer to plink at cans and rats. Oh well . . .

Go ahead you spineless metrosexual Ottawa assholes, pass what ever laws you want. I'll decide which ones I feel like obeying.

Hardly an antique W.L., you must be thinking of it's predecessor the MG43. Definitely NOT the favorite machine gun of many Canadians at the time. :-p

Lets pack up our blasters and get ready to kick the empires butt
