Judge Terry Bekolay Resigns

Citing "medical" reasons. He's receiving medical treatment by medical professionals for this professionally documented medical condition.

This ends the investigation by the provincial court's judicial council. Not mentioned: his name has been connected to testimony regarding the criminal case of another party. The nature of that testimony is currently under publication ban.

John Gormley: Public deserves more on judge's case

Trivia: before appointed to the bench, Bekolay served as President of the Saskatchewan NDP. Let's just say that Lorne might look at calling an election before rather than after potential disclosure of hearing testimony, if he has any hope of holding on to those older, socially conservative CCF'ers in the party.

Bekolay says he is getting treatment and wants to continue to handle the matter privately.

Am I the only one guessing that it's psych treatment?

Psych, where bad behavior often seeks a medical alibi.

bad time for the sk judicial system ... bomek ... and now this.

the stench of cover-up, fraud, lies & deception hangs all around this and the related stories.

Sure these are Liberals ??

If it walks like a duck & quacks like a duck then . . . . ?

Medical reasons huh?...I suppose having your fat grafting butt stuck in a vise is a medical condition in a way.

My guess is $525,000 severence pay. Perhaps we can start a betting pool. Lorne like to spend our money on paying his cronies to resign to save him embarrassment - not that he hasn't been called on these stupid decisions.

I'm a pain in the a$$, is that a medical condition?

Hey cal2, would you consider The National Post "All liberal , All the time" as well?

Well, I guess all we can do is speculate. Was it a gay hooker- drug thing? Theft? Is he psychotic or mentally ill? Maybe it is unrelated to his NDPing.

the post more "some,Liberal some of the time"

CBCpravda never moves off it schtick.

Stay on topic.

While we're staying on topic, what has "social conservatism" got to do with anything?

“Citing "medical" reasons”

Get yourself a copy of DSM-IV.

There’s something there for everyone.

*outrageous*

You know, commies that skirt all rules and decency and fairness to win, can't be desperate to implement a better system can they?

Without revealing any details, let's just say that I"ve gotten wind of what's in the court transcripts under ban.

I'm still confused.

First Kate hints at a damaging "potential disclosure," then links the phrase "social conservatives" to a google search on the judge's name.

She doesn't say why.

Then Kate posts that she's "gotten wind" of something "under ban."

So what's going on here?

What's the connection between "socially conservative" people and the story Kate's posting about?

Sorry to be dense, but why won't Kate just plainly say what she means?

It's code, Stephen. And you weren't on the list when we handed out the little codebreaker books.

Sorry.

It's code, Stephen.

Well, so it would seem.

Is Pedophilia a "medical condition" listed in DSM-IV?

That's where my money is on this case.

Kate: I know you can't tell us anything, but can you lead us to the information?

There is nothing available on the net about this to the best of my knowledge - this case has been locked down by the powers that be. That's the issue - generally, in cases of this nature, information is available about the nature of the complaint. This is an exception, and I think that the public is justified in wondering if his close NDP ties don't play a part in that.

That people will speculate wildly on what he was accused of is a given, so I'm not even going to bother cautioning against it. If the powers that be don't want people to think the worst, there's a remedy for that.

OK OK my turn.
So we have a gay, commie, president of the Sask. NDP and suspended judge with a medical condition being investigated by the police.

History tells us he stole a $30,000 ring for his gay lover on TV.

Kate: The danger with letting people speculate wildly is that, if and when the truth gets out, if it's not as bad as most of the speculation, people will say "oh, well that's not as bad as we thought."

Is the story simply that he was a gay judge? That hardly seems grounds for any action. Was he a gay judge involved in activism for a currently illegal cause? (eg. NAMBLA) That could give us cause for concern. Or, does it have nothing to do with his lifestyle choice? If that's the case, then we are doing ourselves a disservice by speculating it has something to do with his gayness.

In the past, captains quarters blog has carried stuff that's "illegal" in Canada. I wonder if they would run this if they got some info.

Here we have a person who advocates a certain lifestyle....actually defends it vehemently (ask authorities in Prince Albert), and pushes it in your face as of course, the best defense is a good offence.

What is a person to think when this is now claimed to be a medical condition, in order to blow smoke and cover up poor lifestyle choice and avoid a continued investigation?

Since hearing this I have been researching the NAMBLA website to gain insight into this lifestyle if it happens to take this vein.

A quote from the site pretty much sums the site up
"Freedom is indivisible. The liberation of children, women, boy-lovers, and homosexuals can occur only as complementary facets of the same dream."
-- David Thorstad

Another NDP friendly dude pocketing approximately a Quarter Million Dollars (pay he didn't deserve) of our money likely because he couldn't keep his hands and other things where they belong.!!

Good Luck "previously honorable" Terry Bekolay !!
