Anti-Olympic activists trashed the premier's downtown offices yesterday, protesting the evictions of poor people from the Downtown Eastside for the 2010 Games.[...]
"We had three individuals come up to the office under the pretense that they were dropping or delivering flowers," said Const. Howard Chow. "It's a secured area after you get behind the first set of doors.
"There is an intercom and two employees were inside the office.
"Once the door was opened all three barged in. When they got in they immediately proceeded to start destroying the office."
The protesters from the Anti-Poverty Committee (APC) tipped over furniture, broke vases and threw newspapers, magazines and pamphlets to the floor of the seventh-floor offices in the World Trade Centre Office Complex at Canada Place.
Pictures of a smiling Campbell, including one with Prime Minister Stephen Harper cutting a 2010 Olympics ribbon, looked down on the litter-strewn floor.
After trashing several rooms, but not the downtown cabinet room, the protesters sat down on the floor awaiting police.

There was a CBC camera crew that just by coincidence was embedded with the scum when they trashed the government offices. I guess they are learning from their brothers in the Middle East who embed with the terrorists when they kill our soldiers.
The National Post published an article today on David Cunningham. He's a grade 9 drop out from Ontario who moved to B.C. for the better crack cocaine.
"I used crack, PCP, and crystal meth," he told me. He did not seek help for his addictions. "The APC was my treatment," he declared."

Something I've noticed about the radical left. They are so sure that their causes are just that the normal rules don't apply to them. In universities they don't hesitate to implement "speech codes" to silence those whose politics they disagree with, and storm the stage when they don't like the speakers. They support laws and policies where certain races or genders are to be given preference over others. And they break laws with impunity.
How did the left get so arrogant? How did they get so fascist?

I honestly didn't believe that there were people like this in the world.
From Newfoundland, I have myself and have had hordes of friends 'move to get a job'. Having lived in Calgary for 10 years I saw no end of homeless people and felt that a lot of them were homeless for a valid reason. I saw pepole move to the city with nothing, spend some time in a shelter or bench working a crap job, build up some savings, get some housing, get a better job and move up in the world. Yes, chronics of various strips were in an eternal spiral and didn't progress and depending on my mood I can justify housing or treatment for them.
I never once encountered someone who fit the mold that this retard came out of. Can someone explain to me how this person was bought up to get on like this. I know a lot of Liberals. Crap I know some NDP minded people but none even approach the lunacy of this guy. I think it is time for someone to find his subsidized house and ransack it and literally kick him to the curb.

Could you imagine the state that would be in Vancouver (or any other major city) if everyone had the attitude of this guy? That he's not going to move to Port Moody (for example) to get a job 5 days a week but he'd rather stay where he is with his lame 2 day a week taxpayer funded holiday. Imagine if everyone who lives in Langley, Aldergrove, Abbotsford, etc decided not to commute for 1 - 2 hours (each way) every day to earn a living and that they demanded that the jobs be provided within 5 minutes of their homes before they took a job.
It's clowns like this that make it hard for people in legitimate need. Because of this clown it's hard to muster compassion for those that really need it because he taints them all.
I'm not a huge fan of David Pratt in general, but damn, that was one hell of a gem interview.

I agree completely with Ross; if these morons tried anything like this around me they'd be badly bruised on the floor awaiting the arrival of police (just remember to do the citizens arrest bit before using necessary force to effect the arrest).
What I can't understand is why the police haven't moved in on this group. They are clearly a terrorist organization and there are laws which permit indefinate detention of terrorists.
Such groups appear to pop up with monotonous regularity in Vancouver. It's probably because Vancouver is the dumping ground of every psych hospital in the country. During the runup to the Calgary olympics very impressive strides were made in the treatment of chronic street schizophrenics through Greyhound therapy. For those who are unfamiliar with this form of treatment, it involves giving an individual a one way ticket to Vancouver, or better yet, to Victoria if one wants to ensure they are even less likely to return. Perhaps it's Vancouver's time to institute a massive Greyhound therapy project with Ottawa serving as the final destination.

I'd say he's too damned "comfortable"! I work 5 days a week, like most people, and sometimes weekends if the client requires it. Lots of us do.

I have a long commute to Vancouver,I could never afford to live there. Why is it my tax dollars are being used to provide subsidized housing for this parasite? I suspect the reason he limits his work hours is to fit under the maximum income cutoff for social housing.

I would bet DERA is complicit, sharing what would be a full-time job among him and 2 others, giving all the same oppourtunity. What a great scam! 'Work' two days a week and get your subsidized housing from your employer!
