Just saw the new liberal attack ad, according to the cbc and travers. It shows dion winning, and pounding a gavel at some environment conference. So, he got 102 countries, of dubious backgrounds, to meet in Montreal. Is this the conference where he was given an award (same one Ambrose got) for doing nothing. Wait for video of that presentation to be shown in a conservative ad. So, dion got 102 other countries to endorse him. Do any of them vote in canada. He should be more worried about getting 102 cds behind him, considering 16 of them are quitting the HofC. Also read that that conference in Montreal cost us taxpayers megatons of money. That is not fair.

I was speaking with a friend yesterday who attended the 25th Anniversary of the Charter celebration at the University of Ottawa. (I asked why we weren’t celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Repatriation of the Constitution, but apparently that is not sexy enough).
Anyway, as the story goes… just about everyone in the room is introduced including the newly minted candidate for the Liberal Party for Ottawa Centre, but not the guy sitting next to Chrétien… Who is this mystery person who was not introduced….. Stephane Dion!

Obviously you either don’t understand or lack confidence in the free market system. For some reason, you believe that the not only the world’s largest companies, but the world’s finest inventors, researchers and innovators are all in colusion to suppress new technologies.
Nope, Ballard isn’t REALLY interested in producing viable fuel cell vehicles. The hundred’s of (investors’) millions are all part of a ruse, a coverup to protect GM, Toyota and Chevron’s interests.
Leftists and environmentalists (yes I know – redundency) live in the world of wishful thinking. If we wish hard enough, all the technical problems of alternative energy production will magically be eliminated. Have any of these people looked recently at the output of a solar garden light?
BTW, TG – your 87 Jeep is a huge part of the problem. It likely generates 10 times the pollutants that a more recent model does. If you really wish to save the planet, put your money where your mouth is. Turn that ’87 into scrap and take out a bank loan for a new vehicle.

This is exactly the point about ‘global warming’ – if people don’t see ‘what’s in it for me’ in a very personal and economic way, they simply will bleat and complain without actually doing anything themselves. The essential problem with the left is that they either don’t understand, or willfully ignore, human nature.
Will someone please try to answer this question. Why is the media and some blogs referring to the Central Nova riding as May’s riding. I always thought the sitting MP laid claim to the riding he/she won in. If this is the new way of doing politics, I suggest that every conservative running in a Bloc riding, or any liberal, ndp riding, be referred to as a conservative riding.
