Moments ago saw on TV of an alleged gang rape case in Brampton. I’m not hearing anybody blame the victim; that was a problem many years ago but even then there was no rational comparison with the case cited on this thread.
Key word – “rational”. I was wondering if anyone would be dim enough to attempt an equivalency argument.

We have no idea what goes on inside the confines of the Muslim communities in this Country nor do we know what is taught in Mosques or private schools.
When we see women covered from head to toe in this free Country we feel several emotions.
We feel they are shunning our society, hiding their faces and identity. They are not able to integrate as faceless, tented beings walking among us.
No one wants to deal with anyone at any level with a person they cannot identify.

Hi Ladies!
I know you’re quite busy, you know, being angry at Stephen Harper and the Conservatives, what with all their oppression and bias and generally nasty attitude towards Canadian women. Your important work never ends!
However, if you could find just a teensy bit of time, here is a particularly unfortunate woman

Maybe if you ladies could take time out from “buying shoes to support equality” and other some such, you could, you know, write your local MP, or put this story on your website, or ask for media attention to hilight this poor woman’s situation. Whatever! But somehow divert Canadian women’s attention to this, rather than, say, the unending plight of the Status of Women (assuming you agree that this would be a good idea).
Hey, you could even make up a new button to replace the penetrating “Harper owes me $0.29” model, that states something catchy, like, I
dunno, “Support women’s freedom from Third World Oppression”, or “R@ped women shouldn’t be lashed”. Something. Anything.
If you’re not too busy being angry at domestic issues, of course.
