Meanwhile, our Canadian soldiers are helping citizens of Afghanistan put down the bloody Taliban so that girls can learn to read and write, amonst other humanitary deeds. Yep. But when our fearless soldiers KICK the Telaban's ASS,.. the headline ? "Canadians Try To Kill Everybody". Thank-you Globe. So patriotic of you.

Canadian troops shoot "irrational" civilian [sic]

KANDAHAR (CP) - Canadian and Afghan troops were involved in a shooting incident Tuesday that resulted in the death of an Afghan civilian, military officials said.

A military spokesperson, Lt.-Cmdr. Kris Phillips, said a man who was on foot ignored orders to stop while approaching a position manned by Canadian and Afghan troops in the Panjwaii District.

Phillips said the man was acting "irrationally" and failed to stop even after several warning shots were fired. The man was eventually shot but continued moving toward the troops before dying of his injuries.

It is not known whether it was the Canadian or Afghan soldiers who opened fire.

Phillips said it wasn't clear why the man was in the area or why he failed to listen to commands to stop. ...-

I used to suscribe to the G&M, during the last election, just to see how biased they were. Kept it up because I couldn't believe how biased they were. Kept waiting for them to see the light. I did cancel last month, and I notice from the comments that many others have also cancelled, but still submit comments. We should all refuse to even go to the sites of the msm. and quit submitting comments. Remember no one complained when the PPG went on a rant and noone missed them. Most of the talking heads etc have been there since Trudeau and haven't had a new thought since then. I still wonder how some of the young, reportorettes and spokeswomen for various causes got their education and experience to think they know so much. When some under 30 female tries to tell me why something is good or bad I look at the t.v. and think, she has spent more time on her makeup and hair than she has on research and has zero credibility. After any segment she probably calls home and says, Mom, did you see me on TV giving Harper a bad time.

B. Hoax and missing link,

Now you have an idea of what the US military has endured these last 4 years over Iraq from the same-minded left wing US and Western MSM. The Iraq reality vs. the MSM's Iraq propaganda image: a vast difference.

What has been achieved in Af-stan in a few short years, with comparatively small amounts of aid and historically comparatively tiny rates of casualties is no less than incredibly good.

The same applies to Iraq.

There's an extremely important lesson in all this for the peoples of the Western Democracies. That is we cannot trust our MSM to give us an unbiased or professionally competent picture of events. The MSM of the West are a large part of the whole problem.

It is frustrating to see our press spreading the enemy's propaganda. Our military is prohibited from responding directly to these accusations (the enemy IS trying to influence us) in Canada due to policy and fear of law. Way to go Canada! I'll bet various "peaceable' Afghans will think thrice about inviting Taliban in if it means being wiped out themselves. David Warren has written several columns, albeit in guarded terms, about what is necessary in asymmetric warfare with forces where there is no essential distinction between "civilian" and "military"; and also about the British practice in holding Afghanistan and northern Pakistan, a century and a half ago.

I do hope it is true that the Canadian forces are NOT following the American kid-glove practices, which IMHO almost guarantee defeat in the long run. I am hoping for a punitive raid into northern Pakistan.

I see in todays "gag and puke"rag,that Christie Blatchford has a headline "Our Soldiers did not try and kill everyone" I would love to read this,but be damned if I'll pay for it.Can anyone link her response to SDA,as it makes me almost vomit to read the spew on G&M site.Thanks
