Excuses over. The disgraced mufti of Australia set Muslims a test last month and they failed.That test couldn't have been easier: make Sheik Taj el-Din al-Hilaly pay for preaching that unveiled women invited rape.
Prove that Muslims can't be led by a man who says raped women must be "jailed for life". Prove we have nothing to fear from your faith.
Simple? Yet yesterday 34 Muslim groups signed a petition backing this bigot, while others plan a big rally for Sydney tomorrow, denouncing not Hilaly but the non-Muslims who criticise him. (Ed Note: The rally was called off at the request of Hilali.)
The results are in: Islam here -- as represented by many of its leaders -- is now a threat.
What's more: our culture of self-hate makes us too weak to properly resist.

Yesterday Suzanne Bassette, national secretary of the Australian Democrats, even said: "I'm willing to stand up with anybody else in this country who happens to agree with Sheik Hilaly's sentiments . . . Unfortunately, how a woman dresses does affect her level of likeliness to be chosen."
She said the "real lesson" from this fuss was this "latest opportunity to get angry". The problem wasn't the mufti who wants to jail raped women, but his critics.
Bassette wasn't alone. The Age ran a big cartoon likewise blaming sluttish white girls for putting themselves in danger, and federal Labor's Peter Garrett, the former singer, said Hilaly's comments were terrible, but "at the same time, the levels of violence against Australian women is something happening in the bars, in the clubs, in the bedrooms, in the boardrooms".
Again, we are the truly wicked. Leave Hilaly alone.
How can a culture so sick of itself resist the kind of challenge that Hilaly and his angry supporters represent? How can it inspire young Muslims to side not with him but with us?
I don't know, when we teach the young we are a country of child-stealing, land-raping, Muslim-murdering, Yank-licking, gas-belching vandals. Until that changes, expect the traffic to flow more into Hilaly's ghetto than out of it.

I have a solution. Spend time with children. Lead them by example. Get up and go skating, hiking, shooting guns and bows, hunting, turning wood, climbing trees, flying kites - all instead of growing beer gut on a couch. Just that will change the society we live in.

I have come to believe that there are no moderate Muslims. There are fanatics, potential fanatics and apostates.

When I read "our culture of self hate", I thought that there is much about our culture that onea could hate. Which is why it is dangerous for Muslims to continously attack us. If we look at our history we see a culture that is tollerant up to a certain point. After that point we seem to revert to our basic nature which can be said to be... evil wicked mean and nasty or... yeh though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we shall fear no evil for we are the meanest sobs in the valley.
Muslims seem to think that we will submit just as they do but that is not the way our culture ( cult if you wish) works.We don't submit we subdue. Those of us who have self hate for our culture are not swaying the rest to their point of view, they are re-activating aspects of our nature which we try to subdue. Take the burka off and we see what is beneath. Take the veil of civilization off our culture, which is what Muslims are trying to do and our true nature will appear, and like the self haters are trying to tell us, whatlies beneath is not nice.

I read a couple of interesting things this morning.
The first one was about Mo’s child bride Aisha and how she got left behind while bivouacked on a military campaign. Some dude stumbled upon her, unveiled and therefore counter to Mo’s direct orders.

The second story involves Mo, his adopted son, and that son’s babe-a-licious wife. Seems that Mo stumbled in on the daughter-in-law in some state of undress, and Mo’s mojo went into overdrive. He gets the hots for her, and heroically tries to fight his hormones.
Fortunately, the son-in-law quickly divorces the daughter-in-law, and Mo makes his move. No, for the daughter-in-law, silly. ‘Cause once again Allah told Mo that this was the thing to do.

In the past and present, there are times when the situation requires us to be "not nice". The fact that we as a society can turn it on and off, is what makes this country so great.
Every time the world has needed Canada, we have responded and we have succeeded. Our performances in past wars and the peaceful way of life we enjoy between these wars is a testament to the quality of the average Canadian.
We are generally viewed as some of the nicest people in the world. I wonder if our enemies at Vimy Ridge or Ypres thought we were nice.

What the imam is saying, in my view, is that humans have no capacity for reason; they are reduced to basic emotions - and the most basic emotion is sexual. Therefore, he is saying that all women (15,25, 45, 65, 75) are sexual objects; and all men (15, 25, 45, 65, 75) are sexual predators. That is all there is to either gender. And, given this 'axiom', he says that all women should be covered, to prevent all men from acting on their basic nature. Now- is this true? No.
You seem to be saying that it is, ie that our basic nature is violent (we don't submit, we subdue). I disagree. Western civilization's great documents and achievements (Magna Carta, US Constitution and Bill of Rights, the rule of law, science and technological achievements) are not derived from a rejection of our human nature but an acknowledgment of its most vital aspect - our capacity to Reason. Do you realize that since 9/11 Ottawa has more than doubled the number of Muslims in Canada? Does this make sense against all the money being spent on (politically correct) security and intelligence? I don't buy the notion of innately good or evil either ... just innateness. The strongest innate characteristic is survival, we share it with all animals.
There is no healthy or reproductive capable (I think it was a termite that explodes itself that required this condition) animal that commits suicide except man. I believe that the act of committing suicide or a death cult is an act of "reason" (it certainly isn't innate). I also don't believe that talking while being waterboarded or a mother charging a polar bear to save her child involves any reason.
Given a choice, I'd sooner fight someone that's dreaming about 72 virgins than someone fighting for their life. Innate, in the big picture, always trumps.

I never saw anything like I saw in Iraq. Anything that was in Yugoslavia was child's play compared to Iraq.

I wasn't used to doing exhumations where we took women and children and little babies as young as 6 months of age that had been executed with a .22-caliber round to the back of the head. That's a whole different type of crime to me.

A senior judge has been asked to decide whether female Muslim advocates may wear the veil in court.
The question was referred to Mr Justice Hodge, president of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, by an immigration judge at Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, who had difficulty in hearing a veiled legal executive.

Immigration is necessary. So is reason.
If muslim immigration causes well founded suspicion and fear in the host country; if it causes unnecessary spending on security and welfare; if it causes abuses of 'rights' and tolerance; if it is purposely separate - then it must be ended.

THE recent chopping off of the hands near Khanpur in Punjab of two sisters married to two brothers comes as the latest act of savage violence against women.
The brutal ‘punishment’ was meted out to the sisters because they had gone to visit their parents without the husbands’ permission.
On Friday last, another man in Sindh’s Khairpur district shot his wife after an argument; the woman died on her way to hospital.
In the Frontier, a foreign NGO worker who had accused a security guard of trying to rape her, and who had sustained injuries in the process, reportedly withdrew her complaint after a court issued an arrest warrant for her for failing to pursue the case properly.
Not a day goes by without reports of violence perpetrated by men on their daughters, sisters, mothers and wives.
If it is not a case of a malevolent man’s honour being sullied by a close relation, it is that of a rape in which the woman victim ultimately finds herself on the wrong side of the law.
Evil tribal customs that force minor girls into marriages to settle disputes also continue to plague society. If this is what Pakistan is in the 21st century, only heaven can help keep the country’s image unsullied.
Over the decades, the only difference made in matters concerning women is that now violence against them is being reported more openly. But this can be of little consolation to the wronged women; mere reporting of crime has not been a deterring factor for perpetrators of heinous acts of violence against women.
The near absence of social responsibility among opinion leaders, the urban middle class, the political parties and the NGOs claiming to work at the grassroots level, and the existing set of anti-women laws are to blame for this sordid state of affairs. ...-
