Site Glitches

For reasons I don't know, a couple of posts (and a lot of your comments) disappeared during a site rebuild. I'm rewriting them from scratch, but there's nothing I can do to restore your comments. Which, now that I mention it, were been behaving strangely in the time stamp department overnight.

Hopefully it's a temporary glitch.

And on a related note, traffic has been nudging upward over the past few days, and it appears to be from general interest, not specific large site linkages. Most of the visitors here come directly to the main page - in the last hour, there were over 600 of you who dropped in!

That increased traffic is just because of links to your Scooter Brison pinup.

No, it was pushing up long before I posted that.

That explains why my last few comments got bounced saying that I'd have to wait a while before posting again before I had even posted a comment.

It must be hell playing in the Big Leagues ;-)

No, there's just something strange going on. Others have been emailing me privately with the same complaint.

Is that why my computer froze up twice while trying to post.

Kate, you get more hits in a half hour than I do all day!

Damn! You get a lot of traffic. Good for you. You deserve it.

I d/l'ed & installed IE7 and had nothing but grief for the next 2 days.

thats because I have a whole gang of spam spotters and ad blockers and whatnot.

symantec also got some very rude comments from me following their claim IE7 isnt supported.

also before sending a big posting I do a quick hilight rt click copy (puts it in the clipboard)in case posting gets clobbered in the act of transmission.

IE7 isnt supported because its still a BETA program. There have been tons of problems with IE7.

testing, testing, 1,2,3...
