"A documentary about radical Islam and the West's hesitancy to confront it".

If you didn't catch it on Foxnews over the weekend, you have the choice of an abridged or full version at News Buckit.

Highly recommended.

radical islam having a big effecct on life in rural sakatchewan is it?

jeff,

That's the point isn't it?

There are many Canadians who will make sure that Islam, it's apologists and enablers won't have long term effect on Canada, and the cowards, such as yourself, that it shelters.

Please forward your mailing address, Jeff, so that I can more accurately determine which posts you are allowed to comment on in the future.

Thankyou.

Jeff is trying to out-Bob Bob.

Please forward your mailing address, Jeff ...

Judging by his largely unvisited blog, Jeff, who wonders "where'd that bug go," lives "in a forest in toronto with babies and a beautiful wife."

In other words, he lives in Light In The Loafers Land . La la la la la la la ....

Just visited Jeff's blog. He claims he's a photographer, living in the woods outside Toronto, with a wife and two kids.

Looks like his profession is a bust. So he's turned to blogging. Looks like blogging is a bust as well. Illogical, typical leftist diatribe with zero to next to no comments.

That's why he's come to cast insults at SDA, I suppose.

If you hold your nose and go to his website, you'll see a bit on a Guelph film fest, featuring a 'film' showing Christ crucified on a war plane and various other insults, not meant to make any other statement than hate. Oh, and of course Jeff comments that he wholeheartedly supports this film, but is against the Danish cartoons.

Say it isn't so slimejob.

Sorry to be off topic. But perhaps in a strange way, it is precisely on topic.

Thanks for the update Irwin...saved me time in trying to determine on my own what kind of a loser Jeff is.

I think that we have all seen Jeff's kind before.

He has a blog that he puts a tremendous amount of effort into, and then no one visits or makes comments there, so to stir up traffic he drops ridiculous bombs at more popular sites such as SDA.

Jeff, if it is any consolation, you are not an isolated case from the left.

In several other posts I refer to the rot within, that rot is the Jeff’s and Bob’s of this Country and other Western Countries. They see nothing but what’s is in front of them. It’s sad because I have several friends, some very close, that are the same way. It is of no use as I have found, to state facts, regardless of where they come from, as the only things that compute are the facts that suit their argument. The only concession I ever get is well that is the way it should be and that’s the way I want to be, end of discussion. Reality or scenarios trying to make sense out of a situation meet the same mule like resistant to anything but their point of view. All of these friends have one thing in common, they work for the Government in one capacity or another, two are school teachers.

Read page 14, National Post, Hot for Martyrdom.

Time well spent, and "Obsession" is an excellent title. One of the most shocking parts is the indoctrination of the children. I wonder how much of this indoctrination is going on at present in the free world, and yes, even in Saskatchewan. During conflict, our freedoms may become our greatest weaknesses, and the enemies of freedom know this, and know very well how to use it against us.
One should be careful commenting, Jeff. Most Canadians do NOT feel that the attitude "If it doesn't effect me here and now, I have no time for it" is a Canadian value. But then, your an independant thinker and will determine your own values, right?

This documentry is great, it should be must see for everyone.

so do you think it will get a feature time slot on the CBC any time soon ??

Ghost of a flea, posted a link to a video on youtube, that's just as important to see - 'The root of all evil.' About a NY Jew who goes to Gaza and converts to the brainwashing cult of evil. Very enlightening, or endarkening, as the case may be.

Besides the trauma inflicted to the head and the spirit, look what it does to your haircut and sense of fashion.

Thanks for posting the link to Obsession. I think it is important that people take time to view it. There are, of course, two sides to every story -- this film helps us understand one of them. It also, for me, sounds a cautionary note -- not to take our freedoms for granted.

jeff,

Go back to sleep.

There are too many leftist apologist governments in Western civilization and that is why The U.S. Australia, and thankfully more recently Canada getting stronger are the minority voices.
Look at the mess in the UK and France.
How would Jeff feel if his daughters were given 90 lashes for being unsupervised with a boy?
Thats Radical Islam.Maybe we should close the doors on immigration? but who will stand up for the rest of the world?

Had the honor of interviewing Ilan Sharon on my show AND seeing Obsession in the theaters in scenic Minneapolis when it first came out.

Definitely worth seeing.

I saw this story in today's Calgary Sun, on page twenty-four, in print so tiny as to make one's eyes bleed.

"Militias kill 63, many of them children, in Darfur
Reuters By Opheera McDoom TINE, Sudan, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Attacks in West Darfur have killed at least 63 people, half of them children"

Has anybody seen this story in the media, print or otherwise? No claims of war crimes from the left?

There is way too much piling-on, anti-Jeff enthusiasm in the above remarks. It is as intolerant as the imams we condemn. We should tolerate/ignore eccentric remarks and stick to the main theme: is there really an organized campaign by Muslims to take over the West? If so, what should we do about it?

The blog post and the comments are interesting on so many levels. Jeff's response is so utterly typical. He's basically saying "This is not a problem for me in my life today, therefore I can continue living in my cozy cocoon dreamworld indefinitely. Don't intrude." The problem pointed out by those in the film clip and by others who have first hand exposure to the phenomenon of jihadist Islam is that first you've got to "get it". You have to shatter the comfortable cocoon you've lived in up to now and face the fact that someone wants to own your life in one form or another or extinguish it completely, as well as the lives of your friends and loved ones and that no amount of rational argument, persuasion or appeasement is going to change that. You must now fight for your life, the lives of your friends and family. Like the victims of Naziism, there is nothing you can say, do, not say, or not do that will protect you. You're in a fight to the death. Mazel Tov!

Other Greg -- Yeah pretty sick, but we wouldn't want to get involved would we, it might upset the leftovers. Some of our guys that they couldn't care less about might get hurt. The asstrich class has all the answers it seems, just not the guts, balls or tits to do anything with meaning. Instead of a sincere commitment they prefer to verbally commit to everything that sounds good, feels good and makes them look good. The leftovers are to be pitied.

John, please post often with your helpful comments regarding our behavour. We need your guidance lest we begin beheading people. I, for example, have a problem with sarcasm.

I thought Obsession was a perfume. Oh, those Muslims... what are you wingnuts getting all upset about. I know plenty of Muslims and they seem like nice folks. Dont' know if they like that perfume or not, though. Never thought to ask. Is it's delicate fragrance detectable through a head-to-toe burqa?

As a leftist Jeff doesn't understand the law of supply and demand. No one needs to go to his blog for leftist moronism. They can get all they want at the CBC, the Star, the Globe and even the Sun. So why visit Jeff?

Jeff, better put up some nudes if you want some traffic.

For those of us who have paid attention this Islamist doctrine is something known to exist for three decades.
The only difference between now and the early 70's is the scope of success the zealots have had. All of which can be attributed to the nearly universal refusal of those in the west to acknowledge that barbarism and fanaticism such as this is a reality in our world. Head in the sand fools tend to be liberal and the worst of them are the ones bent on tilting at the windmills and bogymen of our western culture and economic strengths. Leftists whose self absorption makes them the best allies of sworn enemies and the greatest liability to our future.

i'm from toronto too but I disagree with Jeff. I also don't think the cbc will ever show this documentary for obvious reasons. Not all T-dot people are of the mushy left variety.

PM called 'chicken' for skipping EU summit

hope this doesnt create another Belindoggate.

As long as we're all totally off topic and hurling insults here...

You know that FoxNews isn't really news, right?

You must know that because it could be really dangerous if someone thought that it was real and based any actions or beliefs on it. We'd end up with a lot of people basing their trial defences on being temporarily unable to fully comprehend reality due to spending a week holed up in their trailers binging on FoxNews, a bootleg copy of Halo, Coke and Twinkies.

John wrote: "is there really an organized campaign by Muslims to take over the West?"

The quote underscores the problem. How long will it take and how many atrocities will the John's of the world tolerate, before they believe what is placed before their very eyes?

Connect the dots, John. Madrid, London, Bali, Argentina, NY, the Netherlands, Denmark and Toronto. Not to mention the frequent attacks throughout Indonesia and the daily killings of Shia's by Sunnis and vice-versa.

You either think these people are kidding, or you think they are incapable of harming you. Which is it, John?

Why will you not believe the words they are not only plainly speaking, but which they clearly act upon? Recall a week or so ago, the muslim cleric in Australia who claimed that immodestly dressed women are equivalent to 'meat in a market' who brought trouble on to themselves? Sure you do. If not, you can find it here:

http://tinyurl.com/wjcb6

Now look at the results of what are not the words of a single cleric, but of a belief system, an evil and irrational belief system. See it in self-confession, here:

http://tinyurl.com/vya9t

they would like to take over the west but "organized" is really not in the Arab vocabulary.

Even Canadian liberals are reasonably intelligent and can see the carefully orchestrated aims of the Mullahs of Iran and their agents in the form of Muqtada and his black bands of Sadr City Iraq, and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

One then has to wonder if commentors like Jeff, Dave d, and Brown may be frustrated fundamentalists rather than liberals.

Frustrating because they dare not declare any Mufsidun jihadist loyalty lest they attract undue attention.

Their impossibly ridgid mindset then becomes much easier to understand. A natural result of rote mind control education.

Not calling anyone names here, but rather just musing about the logic of the closed minded suggestions that some people make over and over in the face absolute evidence to the contrary.

It*s as though they were running interfearance for a vested interest or cause.

My cause? A conservative majority. = TG

This should be required viewing for everyone in Canada, the USA, the world. Time for us to realize that our cushy safe lifestyle (thanks to capitalism and democracy) is about to end. I don't want it to end either, but denial won't change anything. Jeff, John etc., you aren't immune either; they'll get to you eventually, but by then, most of the rest of the world will have fallen. I bet you'd like to try appeasement (like barganing with the alligator so he'll eat you last).

I watched Obsession. It is hard hitting compared to what most of our msm puts out and it is not flattering to the Islamofacists. Catching religious leaders who profess publically that they 'try to control' their extreme factions and then get caught on tape fomenting that very violence puts the lie to what they are and what they are up to. Still, it is TAME to what is really going on and what they intend. The relentless nature of their evil and their blatant use of anyone and anything to achieve their ends is the most dangerous aspect of this thing we fight that the West simply does not understand.
IF they did they would never call President Bush names and try to undermine the effort, the only REAL effort to thwart this and kill it where it oozes out of the ground.
This is not to belittle the Canadian effort in Afhghanistan, or any other efforts there and elsewhere.
But it must be said that the president charges with his juggernaut of the power of the presidency right into the heart of this darkness.
And we tie one hand behind his back while they corrupt and kill their own children and aim to kill ours. Our way of life and everything we hold dear will fall to this madness if we do not stop this nonsense we call 'the democrat party' 'liberalism' 'the far left' 'the culture war' ... all meaning the effor to undermine our fight to survive, our fight to maintain all we hold dear.
THIS is the test of THIS generation and perhaps many more to come.
We suffer fools such as 'jeff' represents and all those like him at our peril.
And THAT is the lesson Obsession has for us. They are coming for us and will use any and all means to do it.
Then they can go back to murdering women in soccer fields. Beheading anybody who says something they don't like or murdering children in school for their 'cause'.
A pox on them all and those who will excuse them.
'Praise God and Pass the Amunition!' may well be our rallying cry sooner than we might like!

Of course you do realize, Jeff, that if we do things your way your children will be muslim, and your grandchildren, and great grandchildren......

Is that the world you want to leave them?

Thanks for the link Kate! Watched all 8 segments. Let me tell you: I've been reading mostly Islamic Jihad related material for several months (Bat Ye'or, Bostom, Spencer, Melanie Phillips) and let me tell you I WAS SHAKEN. It contained so many references I've tried to relay to a couple of liberal friends to no effect: the absolutely criminal childhood indoctrination; a NEW blood libel TV film during Ramadam 2006 -- 2-0-0-6!; the Nazi-Palestinian collaboration; the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during the 20s, 30s, 40s, Haj Amin Al Husseini, who was a good friend and frequent guest of Hitler; Walid Shoebat, the former PLO terrorist; the German guy who was invovled with Hitler Youth - his warnings -- parallels. Excellent. This is a must-see documentary. If you've watched only some -- go back watch it all.

Only today, one of those liberal "friends" casually informed me that "Israel does not have a moral right to exist".

The phrase: "Jews are Prologue" nailed it to the wall with a 6" spike.

ET -- if you're around -- you will finally see that the "Palestinian"-Israel conflict is the front-line in the Global Jihad, pure and simple. The whole conflict has been misframed by brilliant Arab propaganda -- their very best export, I feel.

Also startled to hear that if something tragic happens to the Jews of Israel that too will be our fate.

No doubt it's a coincidence that this documentary is aired by Fauxnews, the Republican Party propaganda organ, just prior to the US elections. The Republicans are afraid of losing, so it's the perfect time to whip up the fear and paranoia of the voters.

While fanatic Muslims and Nazis may share a similar ideology, virtually everything else is different. Fanatic Muslim terrorism does not originate from just one country, they are not industrialized and they do not have a conventional military. Only people who are delusional could imagine large groups of armed Muslims invading and conquering Europe or NA without tanks, ships or planes.

Similarily, only people who are delusional think that they can militarily stop an ideology. For example, the massive destruction of their country and people didn't keep the Nazis from fighting; they only gave up after Hitler had died. In the case of the Muslims, who will kill Allah? No one can...so the only way to prevent Muslims from becoming terrorists is to convince them that terrorism is not what Allah wants. The WOT is not the way to do this, which is why it is not succeeding.

LBERIA:

God, you are an idiot.

- That fanatical Islam is not all from one country is even more worrisome.
- They don't need an army. 9/11 demonstrated that quite well.

You cannot negotiate with them. We have to keep killing their leaders until either some moderates step up to the plate, or there are no more leaders left.

Big Oil Boys see a Trap?
===================== =======

The Bush administration has buried the US public in a tidal wave of words
justifying the US policy in Iraq. Yet despite the verbal onslaught, public
confidence in Bush's war is waning. This is because Americans have little
faith in *benchmarks and milestones,* long recognized as the first line of
defense for bureaucrats covering their backsides when there is no progress
to report.

w.w.petroleumworld.com/Ed110706.htm

Moreover, what little confidence the public has in such measurements was
further undermined when the new Iraqi government under Prime Minister Maliki
immediately repudiated the entire exercise and said it would not be bound by
the US findings.

So where does that leave US policy? The US and the Maliki government are now
discussing timelines for negotiating timelines (I kid you not. This nonsense
is enough to make a cat laugh, as they say in the South).

One fixed objective seems to be looming up through the fog -- the defense of
Baghdad. All other objectives once featured in the news in recent months
seem to be going by the wayside such as Fallujah, Najaf, and Mosul.

Talk about lowered expectations!

In the days of Paul Wolfowitz the US goal
was to democratize the entire region via Iraq. Then Iraq became the sole
policy focus, now reduced to Baghdad and its environs.

Of course a good case can be made that if Baghdad is lost, so is Iraq.
However, an equally good case can be made that if

Anbar Province (home to al-Qaeda),

Basra (home to the Mahdi Army), and

Kirkuk (home to the Kurdish secessionists) are lost,

you can also wave goodbye to Iraq and Baghdad as
well.

In fact, by focusing on Baghdad, the US could be walking into a trap set by Tehran.

Two possible tests exist as to the truth of this assertion. The first is to ascertain if Tehran, SCIRI, and Abdul Azizz al-Hakim have been
pushing for a Baghdad-first strategy.

It is safe to assume this is the case because a Baghdad-first security plan would not have been adopted over their objections in view of their dominant position in Iraq's new army and police
force.

The second test is to define Tehran's objectives in Iraq and identify the
ways in which a Baghdad-first strategy meets those objectives.

It is best to begin with what Iran does not want. Iran does not Iraq to remain intact as a
centralized state that is ruled from Baghdad.

Iran has no desire to establish political control over or provide assistance to the Kurds and the
Sunnis via a Baghdad government.

Any Iranian attempt to enforce a regime via
Baghdad would be met with stiff local resistance that could have severe political repercussions in Tehran.

If so, what is Iran's alternative? Iran wants what Ambassador Khalilzad -- a long time advocate of partitioning multi-ethnic states into ethnic enclaves
-- has always advocated for Iraq, and that is the disintegration of the Iraqi state and the establishment of three autonomous republics, one
Kurdish, one Sunni, and one Shia, which Iran would soon absorb.

This Iranian strategy for Iraq is the basis for Iran's tactical alliance with al-Qaeda and the Kurdish secessionists.

Much can be said about the
significant downsides of this Iranian plan for the region. It is enough to say that an optimal scenario for Tehran is more likely than not a nightmare for everyone else.

====== Thoughts from Big Oil =====

Considering who Maliki is kissing on the cheek lately, I think this plot is near the truth.

For a Conservative majority. = TG

scott:

- "That fanatical Islam is not all from one country is even more worrisome."

Why? Pockets of fanatics spread throughout a variety of backward countries are a greater threat than Nazism was? They would like to fight amongst themselves almost as much as they want to attack the west.

- "They don't need an army. 9/11 demonstrated that quite well."

While 9/11 was a tragedy, flying jets into buidings is not something that will likely be repeated. Moreover, even if New York was completely wiped from the map, do you think the US would capitulate and say to the terrorists: "We surrender. Come in and take over with your Sharia law"??

Get a grip on reality, man!!

Iberia,

You must have someone read you a little background. There is nothing Fauxnews about Iranian submarines and their logical positioning. Just that one item is enough to fully nullify everything you suggested. = TG

it is going to be very interesting to hear the lib/moonbat/dipper crowd when they wake up to a world that a. has 5-10 extremist muslim states, with nukes, a navy, armoured div's, etc b. $100 + oil, and the resultant economic damage(no more welfare state) c. 500 million muslim women with no rights d. daily beheadings, executions etc of non-believers......oh ya, they are working towards a wonderful world.....more than ever....GO ARMY

The words of the adult radicals in this film are disturbing and frightening but more disturbing and frightening are the words of the children.

It might be easy, for those who see understanding and appeasement as a route to peace, to discount the speeches as rhetoric, or a reaction to perceived Western induced economic hardship or Western social imperialism, or some other such modern grievance.

When that rhetoric is forced upon children as Allah's teachings, with no regard for their emotional and intellectual immaturity, such discounting is nigh on impossible. These children will forever be haunted by hatred; hatred for Jews, hatred for Americans, hatred for the British, hatred for Westerners. Indeed hatred for their own beings.

This is not something that should be easily dismissed as a presentation by "Fauxnews".

Japan also used religious training for its homicide bombers.

And Japan used its women and children as homicide bombers.

Injured Japanese soldiers would kill themselves rather than be taken prisoner because of a combinaton of religious and political beliefs.

What I am saying is that there have been other wars where the use of religious homicide bombers has been combined with an expansionist war.

And against Japan, it took a massive war effort AND two A-bombs to end it.

IMHO, if all free nations do not put more effort now into winning this war on terror, where weak countries like Iraq or Iran or Syria can combine religious homicide bombers with political terrorism, then there could eventually be a similar outcome as to that horror which came to Japan.

And the Leaders of Iran are angling for it.

Watch Lebanon. The Mullahs are not done. Not by a long shot.

The fact is that Fox did not produce the film. Neither did it produce the disturbing rhetoric. Although some TV channels did, they are all Muslim owned and operated.

Kingstonlad,

Yours is a good approach; To sketch out the picture of life AFTER the Mufsiduns win with their hirabah / Jihadist plots.

Life will be dark when Al Qaeda terror central is set up within the three nations in Iraq by Iran who fight by proxy on the heads of the brainwashed in Lebanon and in Afghanistan / Pakistan with the Hez and Taliban. All this without damage to a single grain of Iranian sand.

Just as OBL made clear in his message on intent. The plan is to take over Iraq and spread the 14th century lifestyle by *the sword*, worldwide from there.

The Na zies had the SS and the Mufsidun have the Koran police who barred girls from leaving a burning school because their faces were not covered. The girls perished.

Life will be pure, with weekly hangings to keep everyone obedient and women wrapped completely in black. Pure hell that is. = TG

The biggest problem with the leftists and pacifists is they can't see beyond tomorrow, or plan further ahead than the wkend. The terrorists plan and plot for years to achieve their aim. Too many in the west expect instant solutions, like microwave popcorn, and if it doesn't happen it isn't important. There will be a lot of upset voters next week if the dems win and the troops are still in Iraq. If the US is so hated in the rest of the world, where are the dems going to redeploy them to, in case they are needed in Iraq. If they leave, the US will have lost all credibility in the world, and the terrorists will be causing much more chaos. And, Canada is in for a tough time also, if dems win. When NAFTA is gone listen to the left cry about lost jobs in Ont.

Iberia: AND also, they don't say things like "vee av vays to make you talk...".

In fact Islamofascism is more dangerous on two accounts: it's global, AND we have very dangerous 5th columns in all western nations. And so far, PC prevents us from speaking about them. Though we are thankfully seeing some baby-steps in this direction finally.

Be clear -- they're gonna lose because, really, when all is said and done, NO ONE excepts the terror elites actually wants Talibanism.

It's just: how high will the body count rise before the West wakes, which it will.

Think of Churchill in the wilderness all thought the 30s. Except they had a bit of an excuse for appeasement, namely still fresh memories of the wanton slaughter of the Great War. Our excuse, seems to me mere comfort and coziness.

The great Ronald Reagan has a lovely saying: Status quo is latin for the mess we're in!
