For example, the US should have decreased its footprint in Europe and South Korea as these democracies became wealthier insisting they look after as much of their own defence as possible. Well, after the US assistance in the anti-soviet war in Afghanistan; after saving 10s of 1000s of muslim lives in Kosovo (Lewis McKenzie thinks we "bombed the wrong side"!); after the 100s of millions of $$$ to the Palestinian Nazis; after the 9/11 street dances even in Egypt; after the assistance with the Tsunami (YES, let them drown next time!) it should now be crystal clear that the West [read: the US] can't get credit in the bank of muslim. But this is perfectly in keeping with Islam; they can't be grateful for material assistance because they already own that material assistance, which is held illegally by infidels. My land and house in Vancouver also belongs to the umma. The welfare they receive in the west -- jizya we pay without a fight -- is also rightfully theirs.
Ftitz: Exactly right. As Steyn (and others have pointed out) the US has helped infantalize much of the world, esp. Europe, by giving them FREE military protection and therefore freeing up resources to build their unaffordable cradle to grave welfare states. The US really needs to understand the psychology of the hatred of the beneficiary toward his benefactor. As the saying goes "No good deed goes unpunished".
After the next massive tragedy, the US should feign humility and say, "Well, we've learned our lesson -- we don't want to interfere in the affairs of another nation" and let them sort it out themselves.

I for one think the Yanks should just stay home and mind their own business. Stay home from the tsunamis, stay home from the devastating earthquakes,stay home from foreign invasions such as Kuwait etc etc. Dismantle that stupid trade agreement with Canada (NAFTA).
