Russia and China want the USA and the West to blunt their swords taking on Islam. The long-term plan is to get the West out of the way in international affairs. That is why China and Russia want a nuclear Iran. Of course you can't have nukes if Isreal and the USA attack them; that is why Iran neeeds new AA missiles and why Russia wants to give them.

Let's just remember who our Allies are the next time they need or want our business.

They want, not only a prisoner exchange of 1,400 to one, but by tossing in a few extra bodies with the Hamas government, they want Western funding to resume so they can buy more rockets to hit Israel with.
