If Alberta is the "bad boy" province, then what the hell is Quebec?

Geez, I'd hate to see what the G&M would call Alberta if they weren't the most generous province in Canada in terms of equalization payments and fiscal imbalance.

The globe and mail has a history of maligning anything succesful. That is why they hate the USA and that is why they hate Alberta.
Remember many years ago how a nobody was turned into a pop idol called Fabian? (He failed of course but the big guys tried) Watch now how the globe and mail will attempt to make young Mr Trudeau sinto something he isn't, a Leader.

Thanks to the internet and the eastern media, I voted for Morton yesterday, and nothing will stop me from making it to the polls for the next ballot. I've read so much crap out of the east, really degenerate ignorant thought from so many leftwing bigots and extremists, that I am forced to do all I can counter them politically. Morton's the best candidate to defend Alberta from the Alberta-hating hordes. Quebec's relationship with Canada should be a guiding light and an inspiration to Alberta. Why not?

One of the reader's responses said Albertans should make a major effort to "educate" the Ontario people. Shouldn't people have a responsibility to educate themselves politically? And, it's hard to educate people who do nor wish to be educated. Watch the turn around if Alberta turns off the money faucet and Ontario becomes a "have-not" province.

Media bias wasn't so bad before reporters started interviewing reporters, for "insight." That's when this problem really took hold. Before a journalist's political leanings weren't so important because they were simply conduits to true experts, pundits and politicos whose bias was well known. Now we are to believe journalists are neutral which, of course, they are not. Time to go back to news on page one rather than editorials.

The left of center and many conservative Alberta MLAs have shown their timidity and lack of wisdom when bill 208 was introduced. It seems even out west some of the people don't appreciate the wisdom of "slow down" and "whoa". Perhaps that explains the many accidents in our cities when the roads are icy?

... and Eastern Media outlet wonder why Ted Morton (Alberta for Albertan) came in second ... until this moment I didn't care who won, as of now I'm hoping he comes in first next week. I just might buy a membership just so that I can vote for him.

Incidentlly, the GandM does not hate the USA. Its editorial policy is that we should become ever closer and 'deeply integrated' with the USA. That's one reason I cancelled my subscription.

The G&M forum is one of the most hateful you will find anywhere. As a Canadian Veteran, former Ontario resident,and now Albertan by choice, I voted for Ted Morton. It seems funny that the MSM have no problem with a province that bans english to prevent its residents from hearing the views of the outside world and elects a government to try and destroy Canada, but panics when Alberta considers electing someone who would put Alberta first. Provincial politicians are supposed to put provincial priority's first. The great thing about being an Albertan is knowing that the vast majority of us are more than capable of surviving without government help. It must be a terrifying life to think that you need a socialist in power to wipe your ass, feed you, and tuck you in at night.

I'm sure there are a lot of people out east who feel the same way as well...however, there seem to be many that are pissing themselves in fear of what might happen to their lives if Alberta ever turns off the tap and they are forced into doing something useful to "earn" a living.

The greatest evil of scoialism is the feeling of ineptness that creeps into the population over time. Albertans still feel in control of themselves and their government. The liberals and dippers have lost this feeling of control over their own lives and are petrified of stepping out into the "real" world without a Jack Layton or Paul Marting holding their collective hand.

Didn't get to vote on Sat as I was freezing in Edmonton. Tried to vote in the advance poll but they only had one in our riding and it was 11/2 hrs away. But, will vote Morton next Saturday. However, many are saying we may elect an accidental Premier, as most dinning and morton voters will put stelmach 2nd choice. Me, I don't plan to have a second option. Just Morton. Most of his supporters are also just voting 1 choice.
I wonder if over 90,000 liberals would come out in fridgid weather thruout the province to vote. Imagine if the weather had been nice. If Morton loses, watch for the Alliance party to win several seats next prov election.
