On a more serious note...the best defense is a good offense. By calling the MSM to task on this you're playing defense and getting into a he said she said scenario. Essentially a pissing contest were the only winner is the the one that pisses first.
Suggest that Michelle move to Bahgdad for the entire duration of the war and reports directly to the blogosphere.

As yet, there has been absolutely no verifiable proof that the original story was false--only unsubstantiated 'theories'. But even if it's 'fake', that's but one in a tidal wave of 'real horrors of war' stories.
Ahh yes, when you don't like to face the truth of what's actually happening, find one story that may be false and dwell on it, thus 'making yer point' that it's all made up (Dan Rather, anyone)

I David Brown am a centrist that votes on knowledge and conscience rather than joining a club or being a polarized lemming. If Malkin is rich then it's probably just daddy's money because blogs don't pay well at all and are done more for personal reasons than monetary, just ask Kate.
If being a bard with limited readership who may or may not be rich is your idea of success then you really should introspect your personal value system.

I have seen Malkin and Kirstin Powers numerous times on The O'Reilly Factor. They are regulars every Monday night, they have good debates, and both handle themselves well and have good manners.
Michelle Malkin's website is, IMO, the best female-written blog in the US. Indeed, it may be the best blog, period. There is a goldmine of info on her blog--and she always links to her previous posts when she updates a story. I also enjoy her VideoBlog. She is entertaining, humorous, easy on the eyes, and when she pokes fun at Democrats, it is done in a lighthearted way. No anger like you see on certain other sites...
She's a solid conservative; she's a bulldog when she latches on a story; she's patriotic, and without Michelle Malkin, the NY Times would have probably never reported Air America stealing $875,000 from that innercity foundation for children. Michelle was on that story for 2 weeks straight before the NYT, reluctantly, decided to report what was happening in their own backyard.

There's plenty of name calling on this blog. I've been called a holocaust denier (don't know why I've never even discussed the subject), traitor, death squad supporter and all manner of insults. I don't think the people doing the name calling were lefties however.
Not that I'm complaining, a person who resorts to insults instead of argument is basicaly telegraphing that they're a windbag.
