It's not that Annie Leibovitz isn't an interesting story (as a photographer I certainly admire her work), but it is that every other edition is running something else as a lead cover story and it is probably a story that most North Americans would like to hear. If this isn't a blatent example of MSM biased reporting I don't know what is. And that doesn't begin to address the lack of real facts and accuracy in the stories. I have given up on reading both Time and Newsweek because of this lefty lean.

It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words and that can be true, especially with a cover picture. So to the casual observer they see a poor freedom fighter standing with his village burning when infact it is a burning tire dump. You see a picture of a worried George Bush and a catch headline that implies the end of his presidency is at hand when the picture is from some solemn occasion that has little or nothing to do with the story. A little more subtle than the National Enquirer perhaps but still the same old shell game.

Now that's Irony.....or is it just marketing strategy?

What do you expect from a bunch of lying thiefing liberano scumbags?

It doesn't really show backbone I agree.

But basically it's because the editors know that Americans, and clearly some Canadians can't handle hearing stuff like this.

Newsweek, much like the American government believes that Americans should be treated like children. This is why they don't get to see the coffins coming back from Iraq. That would make them have to think, and see the consequences of their actions. Nobody wants that.

Actually, it's because message "America fails" sells a lot better overseas than it does at home.

NEWSREEK will always be a liberal liars mag i mean you dont need your enemies when you got a left-wing rag time NEWSREEK

haha i love how this gets blamed on liberals lefties commies socialist chomskyites

what a messed up site this is

those lefties ain't willing to show any backbone

Newsweek has always been a good bird cage liner.

Not in my cage you wont nightmare i,ll get violent i,ll rip out your eyes SQUAWK SQUAWK
