You are "enjoying" YouTube? I am completely addicted and have decided that I will never watch TV again. People generally don't have a clue what YouTube means to the world... yet, it is one of the few miracles that the Internet has produced so far. Whats next, instant pizza!? When CTV moves to YouTube people will figure it out.
Maybe YouTube will allow the ugly truth of reality to come out... err maybe not.
But it is nice to see Preston smiling somewhere.
Manning has been talking for quite a while - at least two or three years - about marrying the conservative movement with the environmental movement. One point he made in an editorial in the Calgary Herald a few years ago was that the green movement is the fastest-growing political movement in the world. Certainly joining the environmental movement with conservatism - through the full-cost accounting methods that he advocates in the video - would do a lot to strengthen both movements. I definitely think that avoiding the typical socialist mind-set, so prevalent in universities (which are the root of the green movement), and taking care of the environment through conservative economic policies rather than the typical government taxation methods, would go a long way to improving the environmental movement and make it more palatable for those of us who actually pay the bills. It would definitely take advantage of that long tail, when people's individual environmental choices add up to concrete improvements to and sustainability of the enviroment. This is in stark contrast to the socialist method, where environmental conservation and improvement takes place through inefficient government initiatives - if done through conservative economics, it would mean much more efficient use of money spent on sustaining and improving the environment.
The video once again demonstrates an interminable yet undisputable fact:
Preston should be read, not heard.
Cheers!

aka night of the living dead.
certain religions including xianity assert resurrection/reincarnation/some variation (personally Im not interested in coming back with the same 'body' I have now. I want a brand new one consisting of pristine newly minted immortal 'stuff' and the rotted carcass that was my body can stay as ash).
so preston provides a variation on the resurrection/reincarnation/whatever belief system.
thats politics !!!

Speaking of YouTube: LGF has this. ...-
Selective Censorship at YouTube
Riding Sun points out that while YouTube is censoring and limiting access to conservative and anti-jihad videos (even canceling one user’s account), you can still find deranged antisemitic and pro-terrorist propaganda all over the place with no restrictions: Selective censorship on YouTube.
GaijinBiker posts several links to such videos, but here’s one of the worst, an incredibly vile show from Iranian state television: Zionist interest & ‘Western’ products - Divest from Israel!
UPDATE at 10/4/06 12:55:10 pm:
The video linked above has now been removed from YouTube, because it was a MEMRI TV clip with their logo covered up.
