Most Annoying Canadian

There should be a way to teir or group them at levels or something. There is just way to many of equal stature. No can pick just one. A whole bunch get about a dozen stars in the annoyance dept.

There are indeed too many to choose from, but I selected George Strombo-alphabits on a whim when I saw the picture of him doing the heavy metal devil's horn sign with his hand. Now THAT is annoying.

Kate, I cast my vote for you. You seem to be tied with Adler so far. My REAL vote would go to Layton or Suzuki, and I will probably cast it again tomorrow.

I'm a little disappointed. I'm not on the list, even though I annoy lots of folks so much it's shocking...

But if I wanted to, I would provide a pretty damn good picture of myself! Not gonna happen anytime soon, if ever, though... I prefer to be a shadowy phantom at the moment.

Notably missing from the list are Svend Robinson and Maurice Strong, though I guess the former has dropped so far belong the horizon that nobody remembers him. I'm surprised that Mark Steyn doesn't make the list either. He, arguably, has the capability of riling more people up on a worldwide basis than any other Canadian, but he has the disadvantage of being able to argue rationally.

Pierre Trudeau should be on the list....even if he is no longer alive. The guy epitomized "annoying"...and we live with his nonsense to this day.

Too many serious offenders on that list to narrow it down to just one. Today I voted for George Strom-Ican'tspellhisname. He is just wayy too full of himself. Other vote-worthy pests for me would be Jack Layton, Buzz Hargrove, and Hedy Fry. Another great annoyance, Libby Davies, should definitely be on that list, as well as Jane Taber. Oh, and Sacha Trudeau is just starting to annoy me and will be considered a serious contender down the road, I'm sure (especially if he decides to run for political office).

Ben Mulroney? I like Ben Mulroney! He's not annoying!

Kate is not annoying in the least, just truthful. But I guess the truth can hurt !!

Layton got my vote... Every time the guy opens his mouth I just want to reach in past that cheesey moustache and rip out his tounge.

And there's a difference between "annoy" and "hate" or "disagree with". I like Don Cherry, but I can see where he'd annoy people that disagree with him or don't have an overt interest in hockey so that they don't care about the content of what he says, just his tone and persona doing the talking. I hate Buzz Hargrove, but he doesn't "annoy" me, per se.

That said, the ones that annoy me the most are the ones who have an air of moral or intellectual superiority, which makes the preachy socialists the most annoying to me--whether from politics or the CBC.

The weeping, wailing, emoting Lewis, Jack Layton, and the missing but who should be there, Sheila Copps and how could anyone leave out Maurice(Morris) Strong? Aparently he's hanging out in China so we don't get to be reminded of him which is a bonus. The less we see of him the better, bad scene.

I think I have to go with Suzuki just for his longevity and career of convincing too many people that human beings are bad, bad, bad. (Dang I just realized why I’ve never really taken to my Grand Vitara!)

Kate I have to admit that it was the small side bar picture of the dame in the cut offs that kept me revisiting SDA in the beginning.
Of course it didn’t take to many visits to admire you for you ability to cut straight to the heart of things.

Where is Maurice Strong? How about Jean Chretien? What about dithers? Is Hedy Fry on that list? What about any of the Desmarais (sp?) cult that runs Canada from behind the curtains?

Maybe when Kate gets back, she'll have an SDA version of most annoying Canadian, 'cause this list sure as H*ll left out some must-sees, like PET, Mo Strong, Paul Desmarais, Libby Davis, Julie Van Dusn't, Avi Lewis, and I'm sure we SDAers could come with a whole lot more hot ones.

I voted for Stephen Lewis because, as though he's not annoying enough, I figured it was a proxy vote for Avi who, unfortunately, didn't make it onto the list. 'Should have... His piece of s**t of a show, every Wednesday night on CBC, "The Big Picture," is only on thanks to mama Michelle Landsberg's and papa Steve's apron strings.
