John Robson is in fine form today:
Reread the breathless copy about his battle for control of the Liberal party. Would you wrap a decent piece of fresh fish in it today?Well, yes, I might wrap fish in it, but I find I slowly lose the will to live if I try reading another content-free puff piece on the Liberal leadership.
Fortunately, Mr. Robson writes about more interesting stuff instead.

What a wonderful column! As he says, who cares about the Liberal leadership race, or the inside and outside of politicians and the banality of their rhetoric - esp Liberal and NDP politicians.
What matters is reality, what matters is facts not fictional narratives spun by the politicians and their camp followers dragging along with them - such as the Liberal MSM of the Globe, the Star, the CBC, CTV etc.
What matters is reality, such as the reality of Islamic fascism, the reality of the mess that Canada is in due to the Charter, the reality of its lack of an investor class and so on.
I don't know who John Robson is. But I can assume him and your readers that Fin Min's Taylor's charts projecting that Health will consume 70% of the BC Budget by the year 2017 is a completely insupportable figure. David Schreck has dissected this perfectly disengenuous figure on his Strategic Thoughts website:
http://www.strategicthoughts.com/record2006/hlthspending.html#16
Euphemism of the century: describing the skank Stronach as a "sociable blond":
"As for book excerpts on the fall of Paul Martin and the leap of Belinda Stronach, stop it, right now. To understand how overpowering ambition can ruin an otherwise decent and intelligent man, read Macbeth. To understand how a sociable blond can make men silly, who needs a book? Or wants the lurid details? There’s so much to know, and so little time to find it out. Don’t waste it reading political celebrity gossip."
The Liberals, the Charter and Multiculturalism have created such a mess no wonder they can't face reality. They have no solutions to the quagmire so they criticize the people trying to fix it
They're trying to get attention drawn to the most pathetic leadership campaign in history. Nothing of substance from any of them.
That was well worth reading. That is how I have been feeling. If this is the best that they can muster up as canidates, it shows what trouble the party is in. There is not one of them that I would want to lead Canada.
Former NDP MLA David Shreck is one who I always listen to. For any of you non-BCers, he was one of the guys who helped shut down the BC economy while the rest of the world enjoyed an unprecedented economic boom. Put that on par with the credibility of the NDP crew in Rae's Ontario government.
Never seen Mr. Robsons writings before, but I enjoyed it. Kinda similiar to Steyn.
they think Mr. Harper is a leafs fan as he cheered for Mats Sundin.
about as far as the MSM reported last night, although it was the first time they painted him as anything but a cyborg.
The MSM is making a huge effort to ressurect the Liberal party, trying to ignite a "Trudeaumania" effect that will sweep them back into office. To them, the worst thing in the world right now is the fact that the Liberals do not rule (gasp)! Gotta agree with Robson;Knock it off already!

A bit of economic legend there. The truth is that BC's economy did well in the early 1990s, less well in the latter 1990s because of the Asian crisis and a lack of investment by the forest sector, which is still going on.
Did any one see a MSM Headline describing the Liberal Party leader election's as;
>> LIBERAL PARTY COINS 'SUPER WEEKEND' TO BECOME AMERICANIZED LIKE BUSH'S SUPER TUESDAY
The media wants everyone to think the Liberals are still a viable option. When the conservatives held thier actual vote on Harper's leadership win,you had to turn on CPAC to get any coverage at all. They {media)desperately need the libs in power to continue thier ride on the gravy train.

DISARRAY FOR RAE - CAMPAIGN MANAGER IN BC RESIGNS
Liberal leadership hopeful Bob Rae's campaign manager in British Columbia has resigned over problems with delegate forms for the party's upcoming convention.
Mason Loh, a former Liberal party candidate and well-known political operative in the province, took the fall Friday after it was discovered that at least 37 nominated Rae delegates had not personally signed their own candidacy forms — a breach of party rules. ...-

Will any legal delegates turn up, or has the voting already taken place.
Coverage is very annoying since none of the candidates have actually said anything yet.
Iggy has pondered out loud about his lofty ideas on destroying what's left of Canada after the last 30 years of liberalism, but hopefully that's just fantasy, he can't really be stupid enough to want to dissolve Canada into a bunch of mini-states. Can he?
Librano$ convention, conventions ad neaseum!
Stop it please! Not only is this overexposure, it displaces REAL news coverage.
CBC, enough with the free Librano$ promotion of this rudderless party.
Ever heard of OVEREXPOSURE?
I thought even Liberal Canadians had more smarts than that.
Sorry to express dissappointment about a blogsite that used to be tolerant and engaging, namely Calgary Grit.
Now it is nothing but leadership race coverage a la barf level.
Well liberals are suffering. You can sense it in some of the Libtrolls. Time to stop romping about in a cloud of make - believe and shape up you guys. Otherwise you will give Taliban Jack an opening that Canadians may not recover from. = TG
still more fraudsterism by the liebrals, man will these people ever learn? nope !!

Campaign `policing itself,' counsel says

STAFF REPORTER
The B.C. campaign chair for Liberal leadership contender Bob Rae resigned yesterday after it was found some of his volunteers wrote other people's signatures on delegate application forms.
No replacement has been found for Mason Loh, a former party candidate in a Vancouver riding, after he "did the honourable thing," according to Bryan Baynham, legal counsel for the Rae campaign in British Columbia.
etc etc
Looks like there's no hope for the Liberals to get it together any time soon, it appears legalities mean nothing to them, can't even do a leadership straight. It's business as usual only now they will not get away with it, too many scandals have come to light.
As to paying the price for their crimes,WE ARE THE ONES PAYING. Brault gets out after serving 5 months because he's not a danger to society! That's not the reason he was put in the slammer, it was because of fraud for god's sake.
We need one hell of a clean up in the Judiciary, it's time they are made answer to the people and be elected not appointed. What a mess.
Ok. Turn off the Librano$ (while they plot to seize the government).
Let's see if there is anything... else on the liberal left's mind....
Here it is.... Harper the warmonger... the heartless Harper...
"Our Stephen Harper government" ... scary... letting soldiers be soldiers, even.
Librano$, aka Liberals/Taliban Jacks, are everywhere. Disregard the Librano$ at your peril.
Robson says forget politics in Canada?
Don't buy that line. Politics is everything; above culture, above policy.
Here is Mann: German Kultur was the best; above politics. Ja.
The Nazis believed in politics.
Reference:
Thomas Mann, Reflections of a Nonpolitical Man (1918)
Thomas Mann (1875-1955) wrote the essay, “Reflections of a Nonpolitical Man,” during the First World War. A riposte to his brother Heinrich’s criticism of Germany and the war, Mann’s essay justified the authoritarianism and inward “culture” of Germany against the moralistic “civilization” and democracy of England and France. Published in 1918, Mann later repudiated the ideas espoused here. ...-
