This did a great disservice. I think the term "SLUT" would have been more appropriate.

MP Helena Guergis Friday on CTV made some salient points regarding sexist remarks aimed at herself and Cab. Min. Rona Ambrose by opposition members during QP.
No mention of outrage by the opposition or MSM over those remarks.
CTV is jumping all over the feigned outrage of the opposition, which simply reinforces the notion they don't much like conservative politicians.
Nothing like thrusting the shiv into the hated conservatives Harper and MacKay. Keeping the story alive for the wealthy home wrecker is a perfect vehicle.
MacKay should admit that life can sometimes be a 'bitch' and change the channel.

Whatever he said does not matter, what matters is what people think he ment and what they think he ment is based on their own thoughts on the subject. Saying that Peter ment to call B.S. a dog indicates how they feel about her. Their reaction is more indicitive of how they feel than what Peter ment.

The whole MacKay fiasco was made worse when MacKay denied saying anything. Why doesn't he just take responsibility? Enough people have said they heard it, and it was on the tape. Instead, he waited to find out if it was on the record, and when it did not make it to the record, denied it by saying it was not on the record (not quite the same thing as denying he said it). Whether or not it is a big deal (and I think the conservatives should be worried considering the recent drop in support from women), lying about it makes it worse. If he had just apoligized and blamed it on hurt feelings the story would have died by now.

He needs a new girl friend. How about Leanne Domi?

As I understand it, Peter's alleged 'doggie' response about Belinda was prompted by one of the Liberals goading him (that really was the true essense of the Liberal barb, not really about Peter's dog) over his break up with her, just before she jumped over to Paul Martin's ship. (I really wish she had jumped over the side of one of Paul Martin's ships, but that's another story. One can always hope).
The initial barb to Peter was cowardly and in poor taste, so IMO, if Peter did respond in the manner he is accused of, the Liberals got back everything they deserved.
My advice to the Libs would be to quit your sanctimonious, hypocritical belly-aching and get back to work. You're wasting both the time of the House of Commons, and our tax dollars.
