And your enemies at home in Paris;
After injecting themselves into the Lebanon crisis and making all kinds of promises they didn’t intend to keep, France and the United Nations have made it explicitly clear that they will not use force to disarm Hizballah, or to prevent weapons from being smuggled in from Syria.
They may, however, fire on Israeli overflights.

What do you expect from the People's Islamic Republic of Frankistan?
P.I.R.F.idy.
I guess it's time to update the list of "French Military Defeats" to include " - to Israel, 3 days."
why don't we kick france out of Nato and boycott everything they make? There are lots of good wines coming out of Australia now days...
It appears that france will do anything to help and hide the cultural mess they have created at home. It would sure read well in gay old paris, france fires missile at Israeli over flight, of course under the skirt of the un. All the surrender monkeys could then jump up and down on their lily pads in self-satisfaction. It is said most nations die from suicide not murder, well france, it appears the muslim hemlock is taking hold.
How about Hezbollah's next Sudetenland pretext for aggression the Shebaa farms?
As soon as they get rearmed of course, and locate all their firing positions within civilian areas, clean out all the morgues to show those who died of "Israeli aggression", yada, yada, yada...
This is just the calm before the next storm, when Hezbollah openly hooks up with Ahmadinejad to 'wipe Israel off the map'.
France is not a member of NATO.
We've had the dubious pleasure of spending the better part of a century bailing them out, and defending them, in spite of them.
The question is now, do we continue to defend them from the newest threat?
France is a moral and philosophical welfare-case. Has been for generations.
The only way to get people off welfare is to cut off the welfare. But can we afford to sit back and
watch a European country collapse into fascism, no matter how much they deserve it? Hmmmm...
Anyway, they're not a member of NATO, and if they fire on the IDF, they will not have my sympathies for whatever comes back at them.
What if the Israeli air force actually shot back?
Would France immediatly surrender thus allowing Israel to give France to Palestine and solve this problem once and for all time.
Isreal is also re-arming, without a doubt. Next time she will not give in to all the bs about civilian deaths. Just maybe Lebanon and Iran will be wiped off the map. We can only hope. The msm is still trying to cover up all the booboos by slick willy. However, history is showing that he was a complete dud. He sold the reactors to NK and expected them to follow the rules. If there is war, it is his faulty.
That'd be Slick Willy and his friend the Bucktoothed Boob!
France IS a member of NATO Mike..confirmed at the NATO web site.

“A military victory will never be possible,” Major General Alain Pellegrini, the commander of UNIFIL, the acronym of the UN peacekeeping force deployed in south Lebanon, told The Times in an interview.
Someone must know the answer... why do the French have an army? Let's evacuate these guys before someone has to rush in and save their asses... AGAIN.
UNIFIL's mission is strictly to provide human shields while Hezbollah re-arms. The Iranians will certainly appreciate it if these human shields go above and beyond this understanding in order to protect their forward army.
The French will get what they want: Vive l'Islamique Republique de France! - and they can have it.
Ahmadinejad: God told me we would win

Thank you, I stand corrected.
I was aware that France had pulled out of NATO militarily in 1966. I was unaware they had rejoined militarily in 1993. And I still think that their membership is weak at best, when using the scale of "boots on the ground".
Then there is the talk of asking Isreal to join NATO, opening another potential can of worms.
It does seem to be time for a new organization, to supercede NATO and be independent of the UN. The Union of Democracies? Membership limited to liberal constitutional democracies?
I don't really care that the frogs quit in '66. I'm shocked and appalled that we let them back in...
What the hell were we thinking? They are less than useless.
If France was to fire on the IDF while continuing to turn a blind eye to Hezbollah arms shipments, that would be a declaration of armed support for Hezbollah. Given that the Hezbollah "non-nation entity" is at war with Israel it would be difficult for a military action not to be further interpreted as an act of war against Israel by a UN member nation.
Israel's armed forces are reeling from the lack of a quick clear victory over Hezbollah while having one hand tied behind its' back. The restraints on the withheld arm would come off instantly with any armed French action against Israel. Israel is trying its' best to recognize some vestige of value with having UN membership but if France turns treacherous, Israel's UN membership becomes worthless.
The French may find out first hand some things about Israel that Egypt, Jordan and Syria already have.
Now, if the French elites were really that bright they could snag out of their time in Lebanon one more emotional, champagne flowing, liberation for themselves. They could shoot down an Israeli aircraft as soon as possible, surrender to Israel immediately, then, demand at the UN an Israeli occupation of France. It would be a cunning use of their perpetual weasel, surrender and liberation cycles. Dhimmitude would be behind them.
I spotted this the morning. Both French weasel and surrender modes are intact:
In France, Jean-Marie Le Pen's far right National Front appears to have opted for a can't-lick-'em-join-'em strategy, a rapprochement with France's large immigrant Muslim community -- with undertones of anti-Semitism. Le Pen's reasoning appears to be the recognition that Islamicization is in France to stay....

The UN is asorry joke and france has gone whimpy i mean frnaches pit bull turned into a cocker spanial
To hell with France, we rescued their asses in two wars, their such a brave pack of Zombies today and they aren't pulling their weight as NATO members either.
DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR EXPORTS, INCLUDING THEIR DAMNED WINES, many of them should be drunk from a paper bag anyway. Canada and Australia have more than comparable wines.
Have a few cars backfiring. The French will iummediately bail for home. What a puffed up nation of bufoons.
Night moves. We are all aware, I presume, that in Afghanistan the French aren't allowed out at night (even in the safer areas they hide out in).
Les morons. If they think this will help with their intifada they are nuts. It will emboldest their jihadists.
If the elite didn't all go the same government service school, maybe they'd understand this.
Muslim power is gaining ground in France as we speak.
The French are naturally sympathetic to Arab culture. There is an ancient Arab strain in the French. [sorry , no link just now for that.]
In any case, if nothing is done, Sharia law may eventually come to France first and the UK second if a public awakening fails to occur soon. = TG
An old quote, but I still love it...."Going to war without the French is like going deerhunting without an accordion."
Israel needs to be careful here. I think they are being setup by the despicable french and their islamic masters at the U.N.
What would be the result of Israel firing on french forces even if they were fired at first? The U.N. would most likely pass an embargo of all trade with Israel for firing on poor "blue helmeted peace keepers". The MSM would have a field day bashing "Zionists" moreso than they do already.
I wouldn't feel too smug. Just where will the French flee when things fall apart there?
Probably somewhere that gives them preferred status as immigrants, has socialized medicare, subsidized daycare, and preferred hiring into the civil service. Personally, I really hope they turn things around there.
MAH:
Heh.
Finally-a good reason to save France! To keep many of them from moving here! The funniest things are always closest to the truth.
Hilarious!
Mah,
An excellent point!
Wish I thought that far ahead. Now we have a real incentive to awaken the sleepy fun loving artsy fartsy French to what is about to enslave them.
Now looking up France*s media blog forums. Must post multiple warnings. Join me, those French feel SO ignored by the West. = TG
Could that be the reason we sent the Germans packing Twice in the last century?

This is a quick draft of a note I left on public forums at the BBC. I promised to do this [above] and also left a part French version on forums at *ParisMatch* big French media.
A note to Britons
=============
Alarming to us in Canada that the traditionally strong and steadfast Briton seems to have softened so much.
Your Tony Blair is brilliant and powerfully informed.
Tony Blair demands a stiffening of the British backbone against the surging strength of the Muslim Jihadist movement. Our hearts drop at the plight of France and Sweden who may be beyond the tipping point.
If Britons fail to pull together and understand that not only is your freedom and democracy in dire jeopardy, but so too is ours in Canada and the USA.
President Bush may well be something of a public relations failure but he is not at all mistaken in defending hundreds of citizens in Iraq and Afghanistan against the razor edged injustice of Al Qaeda and the Taliban. All those who chose peace and fairness and risked their lives with the telltale purple finger of voting.
Pulling back at this stage will be suicidal to Europe as well as the West because that would unleash an Avalanche of Muslim terrorism upon the free world.
MY language here seems blunt and alarmist, but it is only the clear truth directly stated.
A blunt freedom of expression open to one who comments while not available to the professional media like the BBC.
The major media do a great job of providing a flood of news stories. However, In an effort to avoid the adding of any *spin*, they are reluctant to join the dots and paint a complete picture.
I, as a commenter am free to join the dots.
Consider that Pakistan has given over a district for Taliban and Al Qaeda comfort and training camps.
Pakistan has multi-Billion$ pipelines under construction for SECURE oil delivery to China and natural gas to Iran.
[check Al Jazeera site]
Russia has organized crime migrating into government ministries where they refuse to cooperate with the West to curtail servers sucking fraudulent Billion$ from free world markets.
A Canadian developer suffered a Moscow hotel takeover by the crime gangs. Russian authorities do nothing to help solve a 14 Million$ lawsuit.
Time and space limits me here. Suffice to say, Our stand against Hitler may have been a lesser struggle compared to the enemy today.
The BBC has an obligation to join the dots for British citizens and make the threat of Muslim Shia law clear. Life under the grip of Muslim Shia will be a prison for freedom loving Brits.
= TG
TG, Shia Law? Shouldn't that be sharia law?
Pummeled and beaten at the feet of dark overlords that they are, may the British people be forever grateful that you have joined the dots for them.
Are you talking about football?
