Let’s humor the utopian left. Imagine if, for the next decade and a bit, Jack Layton, Kofi Annan, and Noam Chomski get to run things in terms of the West’s response to Islamic Fascism. What do I predict? I think Islam will be transformed or reformed. As an ideology it has to change, because as an ideology it is dysfunctional in any other political and economic realm other than a primitive tribe. The ME nations have oil but they don't have the technology or knowledge to access and use the oil; they required the West's technological ability.
