A Chicago man has been sentenced to 180 days in jail and must register as a sex offender after admitting exposing himself to a busload of children.
Dinesh M. Patel, 30, formerly of St. Peters, Mo., was sentenced on Friday in Livingston County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to 22 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Patel will have to serve his time at the Livingston County jail in Pontiac. He will remain on probation for 30 months and will receive counseling for the offense.

It appears the only difference between "the new learning" and criminal child abuse is a politcally correct nod from Big brother.
Personally, after experiencing first hand what my young boy was exposed to in the primary school I think the public school system could be considered "child abuse".
The public system is focused primarily on churning out servile, obedient, politically indoctrinated servants for the social engineered super state.... non politicized science, history and classic learning/understanding is verbotten.
When my boy was young he was made to take a form of "sensitivity training" and "hostility intervention" class because he questioned a teacher who was telling him and the class something he knew to be wrong because of his life experience doing this activity (hunting) with me and his mother.
After that he was "branded" as a trouble maker ( as well and his parents) and threats of calling in both childrens services and the police ( we were threatend with child abuse because we had hunting guns in the home) were used by school officials to keep my wife and I from pursuing action against a school and teacher who were telling children that hunting and hunters were people who were "not right in the head". The kid was dogged issessantly by every teacher in that school after we intervened on his behalf to support his right to his opinion which may have differed with the teachers and the schools but was none the less taken from factual first hand knowledge...unlike that of the teacher. He reused to retract what he said ( that he had hunted with us and were were not doing anything bad)
When we questioned him it became evident that this one teacher had been telling young children the PETA viewpoint of hunting and firearms ownership...it traumatized the kid to have to listen to this teacher say what his mom and dad did was "bad"...he spoke up and was punished then he became withdrawn.
We contemplated private school but could not afford that so we contemplated home schooling...but my wife and I both worked at the time...so we moved...which took him from that urban school to a rural district school with a reputation for "straigtening out problem kids", and he became an "A" student and reamins one to this day....but that was to be expected as he id a normal well adjusted kid...he is also a kid with a value system and a set of principles and he has a tendancy to stand his ground when someone asails those principles....this put him in conflict with his political indoctrinators at the PC school.
There was no secret to how this rural school attained its repuation...it simply had a principle and teachers that strayed from the departmental curriculum and taught basiscs ( Math, science, english, history) with no political spin and no social engineering "extra curricular" studies..just some sports...students were graded on what they KNOW not who they are or their "attiudes" or opinions.
This experince has stuck with me and made a major impact on how I view the government ( state, it's agents and employees and also impressed upon me the deep intrusion the state has made in the family and your child's development.
There is no doubt in my mind that the prevailing agenda at the urban school we moved our son from was political in nature and partisan as well...it was a toxic environment for children his age who were having the childhood innocence stolen from them by political engineers....if that isn't child abuse I don't know what is.
WL, know how you feel. My son recently wrote an essay, for his 1st year college English course, on the Cold War.
He's a very good student, usually gets "A"'s, but this time the prof. gave him a "B".
It was an excellent piece of work, well and thoroughly researched, so he asked the prof why the lower grade.
Prof replied that it was because the essay was biased toward the Americans. The only "bias" in the entire essay, was the statement that the Americans had won the Cold War, apparently that wasn't acceptable.

Being a former teacher, I can certainly sympathize with the previous comments. I have always felt uncomfortable when having to teach something that had a political nature. In the confines of my classroom, I opened the door for a brief discussion and left the topics open-ended.
It has always been my claim that what one should do in a classroom/school is to give children a solid foundation in reading/language arts/math....so that they can go on to do their own research and come to their own conclusion.
Some of what is "taught" in schools should be left in the hands of what parents want to pass on to their children.
However, as I said to a colleague at work the other day, that if she doesn't speak up, then of course, the minority will continue to force their agenda on the majority. No one can afford to sit back, and expect others to do their "dirty work"....as in sticking their neck out, and standing up for the principles they believe in, for fear of being labelled.

No I was commenting on a parents hope that their son grows up to be a good man that believes in his values and remembers where he came from, and schools and the teachers in them that see no lasting value that or something they should leave be . The natural progression I was refering too was when a boy grows into being a man or a girl grows into being a woman it doesn't happen overnight, and I don't think its defined by getting laid or getting calluses on their knees.
I don't know about you but driving around some bigger towns around here and seeing lots of kids pushing a kid in a buggy one wonders what the open minded and open ended curriculum on sex really prevents other than a smile on a teens face when reality sets in? Maybe some psychologist should be taking their sorry picture and showing that to a six year old?

In all honesty, I challenge anyone to show me how this "progressive" education system has reduced teenaged pregnancies. For a generation of smarter young people I find the common sense learning seems to stop at the belly button. H*ll, I do believe being a single teen parent is something of a status symbol.

I think if you're waiting until after 6 to talk to your kid about body parts they already have access to, you're waiting years too long. You have to open honest and truthful communication with your kid when they learn to talk, otherwise they'll find they get "better" [read: some] information from the schoolyard when they are 5. Who would you rather your kid learn about penises and vaginas from? You or the kindergarten gossipers who have older siblings?
