me brother the retired plumber who earned I would guesstimate maybe 3 or 4 million and retired last march and now works most of the time...... finding where the fish are, has dyslexia and only grade 10 education. his work ethic is the highest I have ever seen and like he said recently, he is the only one in the family who never got financial benefits from any government or worked in an occupation or job paid out of tax dollars. he did it all himself. and along the way got his son in the business and who is doing the best at his age of any of the grandchildren.

I with my post secondary learned some vital lessons in life and business from him at this late date and am embarking on exploring starting a renovation business.

in addition to contemplating the fundamental nature of electricity (which despite the trolls' claims here DOES travel the speed of light) I also have a genetic disposition to quickly picking up on the routine basic stuff of how to wire a house, store, factory, whatever.

I have decided if the justification arises for a full time electrician, it will be just the ticket for me to have created a vacancy for an apprentice in the trade. I will then not coincidentally take up that vacancy myself. it will create the unusual situation where I am both the supervisor of the electrician and his pupil.

I have concluded that the apprenticeship system in canada is so f^%#%ed up that these unusual measures are necessary for me to get a license finally and then make some 'real money'.
