I await with bated breath the reporting of this in the MSM. Shouldn't the ethics commissioner be summoned to investigate the apparent false and misleading statements of the senator(s)?

So to believe the Senators assertions with regard to the trip; we should then conclude that the Vice Chief of Defence Staff is a liar, and their personal safety was not an issue.

Oh well, we knew the LIEberals didn't hold the military in high regard in any case. Just more of the same.

If the Senators doubted the Vice Chief's report they would have continued to Kandahar and taken a bullet for the country!! They would then find out what the 'sharp end of the stick', really means.

Presumably, the learned Senators would be writing their report from a hospital bed, or sending e-mails from the other side of heaven.

When the story first broke, I had expected something around $3000/nite, much more in step with the Librano legacy of entitlement and inflated egos.

A liberal said today that the government had to start working with the opposition to get its agenda passed. Committees and the senate are holding up and changing things. I think he has it wrong. They better work with the govt or Harper will call an election. He should do it before Dec 3.

I echo your sediments Liz J. The apathy of the Canadian people reminds me of the silly Russian aristocrats just before the Bolshevik hammer fell. How could any reasonable person believe anything the Liberano$ say, senator or M.P. The whole outfit laugh, in what they consider 'the stupid scum public' (our) faces; lie to us, cheat on us, and steal from us. They get get caught red handed - and some fools still question the veracity of the arguments they spew!!
If I was unaware of the terrible public education in this country (indoctrination of Socialist/Communist doctrine) and the fiercely bolshevik propaganda machine operating day and night, I would say there is no hope. Fortunately, our pioneers were made of Stern stuff and some of that good stern stuff is seeing the light of day on the Internet. I think that the people of this country are waking up. People are starting to like the feeling of having adults leading our nation. We have a Prime Minister with his feet firmly on the ground, he deals with reality and he states facts. The Liberano$ (and their friends, the Dippers) were like loopy, dopey, pot heads careening all over the country and all over the map on every issue that has ever faced this nation. When the farmers and ranchers who feed us we in a major crisis; parliament was yapping about people of the same sex getting married!! The Conservatives have a huge job trying to get the derailed train back on the track but in nine short months they have done a lot of mop up.
An election now would be fine with me Mary, the stolen money has not been repaid, the crooks are still stealing via the senate, the liars are still yapping to their friends on msm. The country will slide fast in this situation, the Conservatives deserve a majority so they can get on with the business of the people of Canada.

This just disappoints me.
I kind of admired Senator Kenney (even though he is a Liberal) because he was the only senator who seemed to be doing anything and is an ardent and vocal supporter of the armed forces.
I guess that Liberal entitlement sickness never really goes away.

The Senators are now enjoying the fact that they can stall any bill put forward by the government(Accountability Act),
for what reason. Is it because they do not have a leader and they are buying time? Or is it just that they are the naturally ruling party & your vote does not count, no matter who you elect?

This week has been taken up on McKay's alleged comment to Belinda's empty chair , as the main concern for the Liberals.

The old farts in the Senate are screwing around with the Accountability act so it won't get passed in this Parliament at this rate.
