It is a well known fact in the car selling business that women influence 80-90% of car sales. Women, being relatively intelligent, prefer larger and safer vehicles like Minivans and SUVs to tiny deathboxes like the Prius. So we can thank women for the lack of Priii on the road.

Proposition 87, incidentally, taxes oil produced in California. It doesn't tax gasoline at the pump. Its effect, of course, would be to reduce (perhaps by 100%) the amount of oil produced in California, increasing unemployment.

Not to be knitpicking but just thought I should mention it. Who made the claim of a ``100 miles per gallon'' Toyota Prius? I see it's in quotes. Was that Gore's gang of eco-terrorists who said that?

See the problem is the Prius doesn't get any where near that. At least a Prius that a person could buy off the show room floor. US EPA mileage shows it gets around 51 city and 60 hwy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Prius) and an experimental version version with Lithium batteries getting the 100+ mpg (but potentialy dangerous explosion hazard due to the nature of the batteries). If anything I have heard more grumbling about the poorer fuel economy than expected from these vehicles than anything else (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2005/hybridwatch01.html).

Anyway, I'm just rambling on. I'll let Gore make the point, for those who wish to see it, that there's a sucker born every minute and Prop 87 looks like it's one of those plays.

They all were about creating fear and they all collapsed in the end but many people were duped and their money gone. Some were no more than innocent fun.

Al Gore and his Kyoto hoax are, however, much, much more serious. It is costing citizens, including Canadians, money and worry. As with all Hoaxes, they would be DOA if the Media would only report the truth.

Case in point. It is a well known fact that the Earths Climate changes due to many factors. Gore's guilting us into thinking we are to blame is not one of them. Dannish Scientists have recently proven that there is a correlation between Climate Change - Cosmic Rays - Earth cloud formation - Ice Ages - Warm Periods. The Media, however, does not widely, if at all, report on Hoax Busting news because it would, well, stop perpetuating the Hoax and they would loose a "good" news story. Pathetic, maybe even criminal.

By lots of metrics the environment is cleaner than it has been for decades. Heavy industry, a big pollutant, has moved overseas. I read an article about how many western ranchers with their good land governance are actually better than the envirnoweenies in protecting the eco-systems on their ranches. The lefties would have you believe that private property owners are all destructive. Rivers, lakes and streams are cleaner than decades ago.

A gallon of gas is cheaper than a gallon of Perrier.

I surmised she had had her eye on the other salesmen all along, taking note of which ones were eavesdropping, with this tactic in mind.

My favorite case was George Clooney, renowned lefty and eco-warrior, who drives a Tango gas/electric car (in which to be seen in Hollywood as eco-PC).

But being too important and special to fly commercial, Clooney then uses a private jet from LA to Tokyo, using 7,000 gallons of fuel. That fuel would make 57 LA-Tokyo driven trips.

When Clooney's PR rep was asked about this, he responded, "You clearly have no understanding of certain people's need for private transport,"

Yeah, OK; for the Oh-So-Special Hollywoodites: Priuses and Tangos when tooling around Hollywood; then private Learjets for gadding around the world. So not only are the Hollywood leftoids insular idiots, they're also hypocrites.

Regarding Hollywoodites and private transport:
We consumers of Hollywood's fare are the ones who elevate these people so high that they don't dare come out in public for their transit. There's a simple cure for the Hollywood plague: stop watching.
