At Iraq the Model Mohammed has followed up his earlier post with his take on America's mistakes in Iraq:
The insurgents, terrorists and militias operating in Iraq depend on foreign support for money, training, technology and in some cases men. Moreover the influence of foreign interference is clear even in the political arena in Iraq through the numerous political crises the country had faced. Thus, this war will not see an end unless America revives the preemptive war strategy and start chasing the enemies and striking their bases in the region, especially in Syria and Iran.
As always, read it all.

Speaking of Iran; Inter Press Service News Agency October 5, 2006. Section: WOMEN: Death Penalty: Seven Women Face Stoning in Iran.
"Under Shari'a law, a prisoner is buried up to her breast, her hands restrained. Rules also specify the size of the stones which can be thrown so that death is painful and not imminent. Both men and women can be sentenced to die by stoning. In practise, however, an overwhelming number of women receive that penalty." Quote from this article.
Tried to post link but it got caught in the filter. This is a really sick world..........
Ya sure leftdog. Just look at your source.
Hey, here's a news flash! Yesterday called and it wants its story back. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
The G&M wouldn’t know real journalism if it bit them in the ass. Besides, as usual, they are late on the story. It has already been discredited on the web.
Why am I even responding to you, I just don't know, S&M maybe?
Ramsey's on the loose, again. Send for the white coats. ...-
Ramsey Clark says Saddam death penalty will unleash 'catastrophic' violence (barf alert)
Posted by RDTF
Drudge Report ^ | October 5, 2006 | AFP
Ramsey Clark, a former US attorney general who is one of Saddam Hussein's lawyers, said that any death sentence against the former Iraqi president would increase violence in the strife-torn country. "It seems clear that a guilty verdict will set off catastrophic violence" and that a death sentence would be even worse, Clark told a Washington press conference. "It's hard to know how many Iraqis, dozens, hundreds, thousands, will die because of the sentence," he said. ...-

We should organize our freinds to all send copies of the report to Taliban Jack. Our biggest most dangerous enemies are here at home.
If it wasn't for the 5th column here and in the USA our guys would take care of the terrorists very quickly.
Thus, this war will not see an end unless America revives the preemptive war strategy and start chasing the enemies and striking their bases in the region, especially in Syria and Iran..
Yes, but, try to get the spineless Dems to endorse anything other than retreat. Total engagement with the Usual Suspects is vilified by the pansy MSM 24/7. It's the kiss of death right now to extend this war where it ought to go. We have a more than fair number of American Dem sheeple that still aren't getting it until the next atrocity. Consider this, we may lose the Republican majority in Congress in a few weeks because of crap unrelated to the WOT, not that a few of Republican spineless morons aren't running for cover now.
The other part of the equation is that the Iraqis themselves have got to independently put a stop to this. They speak the language, they know the terrain, they know who is an outsider, they can shoulder more responsibiltiy than they have been doing. It's not like the US is denying them the opportunity to protect themselves. Iraq needs to strongly and clearly on the national stage address their issues with Iran and Syria.
leftdog,
I've got hundreds of thousands of acres of rare Tennesee ocean front property for sale, 1 U.S. dollar per acre. e-mail me.
Be sure to read the comments, in particular, by "Pierre Legrand". It is a warning; believe it.
The end result of political correctness: Gitmo.

Whose prison?
Claudia Rosett describes her visits to Guantanamo Bay. “Security guards detach name strips from their uniforms … direct attacks and threats from the inmates, but threats against their families. Detainees have made weapons out of light bulbs, fan blades … detainees use the lawyer-client privileges they enjoy as a clandestine communications network both inside and outside the camp … “a fully tricked-out al-Qaeda operating cell.” Also, Patterico has a series of interviews with a nurse working at Guantanamo Bay: loosely titled the man who has spoken to terrorists, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4. Here's Claudia's full description of what she found in the prison.

Ick...more of what's not really working?
It would make good sense to smash these supporters of the insurgency, America would gain huge credibility in the region.
Arabs/Muslims understand and accept these practices very well, it's how they have lived for centuries. Certainly the majority of Iraqis are tired of daily bombings and they lose respect for the US when they know the US has the power and doesn't use it.
Hey you don't you want me to ... oohh oooh..
Hey you..
shortest book in the world: A book of Iraqi military/police hero's. In Iraq and Afghanistan, they nationals are pretty slow on the up-take on learning to defend and police their own country. As stated above:
"The other part of the equation is that the Iraqis themselves have got to independently put a stop to this. They speak the language, they know the terrain, they know who is an outsider, they can shoulder more responsibiltiy than they have been doing."
Time to expect a bit more from them, but like cowards everywhere, why die when somebody else will do it for us?
Dante,
Word. Mohammed's deluded. Any military strikes the US makes in Iran or Syria is going to worsen the Iraqi situation. Br'er Rabbit and the Tar Baby come to mind.
If we want to have peace in their world to make our own safer,it follows the peace will have to be MADE, there's no bargaining with terrorists,in spite of what Jack Layton and his ilk like to spout.
The brutality of the Islamic world on it's own people, is well documented.
The full might of the civilized world can be deployed but it's up to the people of those areas to take responsibility and have the will to become civilized and have respect for human life.
It may well be impossible. They have to co-operate and want to be helped. We can't stay in those countries and police them forever.
In Iraq and Afghanistan they are killing those trying to help them. What's left, isolation?
Just remember that some of these nations have powerful allies. Do Russia and China come to mind?? These two nations are at least as powerful as the USA. Some of them get their oil from Iran and others. So be careful what you wish for. Einstein said it best: He didn't know what the 3rd world war would be fought with but he knew what the next one would be fought with??? Clubs!!!
Time for RAMSY CLARK to get the same sentence as SADAM their both a miserble pair of reptiles
