To bring you breaking news, via ABC News;
Al-Jazeera aired on Thursday what it called previously unshown footage in which al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden is seen meeting with some of the Sept. 11 hijackers. The station did not say how it obtained the video, which was produced by As-Sahab, al-Qaida's media branch. The video showed bin Laden sitting with his former lieutenant Mohammed Atef and Ramzi Binalshibh, another suspected planner of the Sept. 11, 2001, suicide hijackings.
Atef, also known as Abu Hafs al-Masri, was killed by a U.S. airstrike in Afghanistan in 2001. Binalshibh was captured four years ago in Pakistan and is currently in U.S. custody, and this week U.S. President George W. Bush announced plans to put him on military trial.
In the video, Bin Laden was wearing a dark robe and white head gear walking outdoors in a mountainous area. He smiled as he received several of what the tape said was several of the Sept. 11 hijackers.

You have to admit that Karl Rove is really good!
Cheers
Well, I question the timing... Because, you know, um, the planes were remote controlled CIA drones and all the passengers are relaxing on a private beach with all the Jews who were warned by the Mossad.
The evil of Rove knows no bounds! When will someone stop the Monster That Is BUSHITLERCHIMPLERBURTON!11one!!eleven in KKKarl Rove's AmeriKKKA?!
On a related note, from Yahoo News:
A majority of Canadians believe U.S. foreign policy was one of the root causes that led to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and Quebecers are quicker to criticize the U.S. administration for its international actions than other Canadians, a recent poll suggests.
...
The poll suggests that 77 per cent of Quebecers polled primarily blame American foreign policy for the Sept. 11 attacks. The results suggest 57 per cent in Ontario hold a similar view.
When participants were given the option of choosing more than one cause for the attacks, two-thirds blamed Islamic fundamentalists and their anti-Western views, while a third pointed the finger at Israel and its position in the Middle East.
...
"There are a lot of people who think we should be listening closely [to extremist groups] and that there is an opportunity to dialogue with these sort of groups," said Jedwab Wednesday. "So it is showing a real ideological divide on some of these issues."
There's a growing need since the Sept. 11 attacks for balanced public education about terrorism, added Jedwab. "There is a tendency to see in these movements something more romantic than actually exists. That's something we need to keep debating in the country." [emphasis Matt's]

WOW, bin laden "might have" received some of the hijackers, i mean patsis
planes were hijacked, and one crashed into WTC 1, and another crashed into WTC 2
I DOUBT one crashed into the pentagon, but maybe it did
and another was shot down somewhere in pennsylvania
911 was still an inside job
The DemocraticUnderground...where moonbats do science.
No new news there. OBL took credit for 9/11 in a videotape shortly thereafter. I took him at his word then.
Pakistan is the problem with capturing this animal. They refuse to let our special forces into the area that he is most likely encamped.

why is bin laden not wanted for the 911 attacks on the FBI most wanted list?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/27/AR2006082700687.html
Jacobin,
Osama is on the most wanted list
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/fugitives.htm
I seem to recall you trolling Celestial Junk awhile back with similar flights of fancy.
The reason why Bin Laden is not wanted for the 911 attacks on his FBI wanted poster is because the FBI is really trying to send us a secret clue about what really happened on that day.
You know...like the way the rest of the Beatles tried to let us know that the walrus was Paul, who, in fact, died in a car crash, and was secretly replaced by Billy Shears, a Paul McCartney look alike, which was secretly told to us on Sgt. Peppers....
Please, not another thread ruined by this pathetic moonbat, folks. Any new poster should think twice before responding to him.
Just out of respect for 9/11, why can't he be banned?
This is not a free speech matter. He crossed the line into abusiveness a long time ago.
Penny, good advice. I'm done. No, really, I mean it this time.
If you don't stop feeding this troll, I'll ban every last one of you.
Full Moon tonight.
What can I say,the phsychology of the individuals who wrap themselves in these conspiracy theories is what intrigues me.
To latch on to selected bits of information that may be twisted to suggest a different reality, then in turn, deny the vast majority of evidence that clearly point to the answer...well,that's bordering on being delusional,is it not?
Then,to bunker themselves in that mindset, refusing ANY reconsideration based on new information while searching solely for bits and pieces to reinforce their weak arguments.
It's funny that they never seem to go...'oops,I just discovered someone I like and respect is at the center of this'....they always seem to target people they hate(US). Maybe that is their own little conspiracy.
To be honest, I have some sympathy for 9/11 conspiracy theorists. I think they are so traumatized by the event and scared by it's happening that they find it easier and more psychologically acceptable to believe that our side did it than to accept that the world is so scary that a handful of unskilled men without formidable weapons can devestate us so greatly.
Still, some rational thought and less arrogance would be nice.
Well... it could be worse. Osama might have made a real ugly fashion statement by sauntering out of his cave in a speedo and pink pocadot headgear...
Hope he knows which way the potato goes...
Someone should suggest to him that floresent Green shirts and pants, and blinking redlights in the shape of a circle, stitched into his back, would be very becoming.
Canadian Observer - Why? I wonder that to. I can only speak about the Chronic Paranoid Schizophrenics that I meet on a regular basis, surprisingly, many are pretty high functioning, as that kind of schizophrenia isn't as disorganized cognitively and as devastating. They almost always have a fixed delusional system, sometimes very elaborate, around a central theme. Government agencies are often the common culprits that they perceive are messing with their minds and lives.
The rule in psychiatry is not to challenge delusions directly. It never works. Presented with logic, often follows suspicion. You quickly become part of the delusional system as one of them. Modern psychotropics do a poor jobs with these folks, unlike auditory hallucinations, medications don't do much with delusions.
There is the lessor condition of a Paranoid Personality - guarded, suspicious, without the fixed delusional system. I'm only saying all of this because I sometimes wonder among these outlandish conspiratorial folks if mental illness - permeations of clinical paranoia - isn't the underlying factor.
penny, thanks for sharing your experience.I also suspect many see themselves as loners and identify with the'outcast'fellow conspiracy theorists or simply just like crying wolf.
Anyways,my observations on Kate's blog have been that those who troll here are simply keen on getting attention and spend their energy provoking reactions and responses as opposed to substance. These assorted individuals,if memory serves me correct, are also 100% consistent in supporting conspiracy theories when the topics arise in a thread.
I see much the same forces at work.
Your probably right, Canadian Observer, lonely losers is the common thread and, now, with the internet, lonely losers that never before had a forum. I guess we are just noticing the supportive fellowship of the unhinged in the company of other unhinged in the internet age.
I think kids like to try out outrageous behavior and attitudes, but, what explains the conspiracy moron now running in Florida's 15th district that thinks Cheney was behind 9/11?
I think 9/11 was one of those junctures in history where the crazy and the stupid on signal came out of the woodwork like locusts on a signal. I'm sure they were always there, but, the media of 40 years ago had the good sense and taste to ignore their lunacy.
But, the one thing that intrigues me is that like my clinically delusional folks you can't argue their illogical and bizarre theories. Some of my funniest moments in psych nursing have been when I got myself trapped in the delusional system of others. Like some of our trolls here, no amount of logic and facts are going to change their thinking.
We live in dangerous time, but, it has its amusements too.
The concern I have is that delusional paranoia may be amusing in individual cases, but we a rapidly reaching a tipping point where a significant number of people share the delusions. This make it much harder to define reality against fantasy, and within the pack, individuals will start to act out. Assasinating an elected president, for example, has almost become the accepted standard for resolving the dissonance.
All it will take is a messianic figure to turn this crowd into the taliban redux.
denying the truth doesn't make it untrue.
never in my life will the memory of September 11 fade, I walked in the door at work and someone said "the WTC has been hit by an airplane" ha methinks these guys are pullin my leg. but no. we watched all day the horrid death and destruction of our freedom collapsing in front of our eyes and for anyone to question the legitimacy of it all just boggles my mind
"On June 5, 2006, the Muckraker Report contacted the FBI Headquarters, (202) 324-3000, to learn why Bin Laden's Most Wanted poster did not indicate that Usama was also wanted in connection with 9/11. The Muckraker Report spoke with Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI. When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on Bin Laden's Most Wanted web page, Tomb said, "The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden's Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11."
I guess the video confession(s) aren't enough?
http://url123.com/by975
I don't know the hijackers looked like CIA/US Zionists to me!
Maybe the reason for the obl video now is because he wants to send a message to the democrats and other leftists. HE DID IT, and is tired of Bush getting the credit. Just waiting for John Karr to confess to the whole thing. The msm in the states and also the democrats, are in a panic after Bush's speeches. All their lies and misinformation are being exposed. They complain it is just before an election, and is unfair. How about the NYT's and Rathergate and their attempts to sabatoge 2004. Will the real clinton be exposed on ABC or will they pull the movie. Either way, he comes off very bad, and poor Hillory will have to face the consequences. If the movie is pulled, people will ask, Why. If it isn't, they will know they have been protecting a very poor administration.
Poor Osama.
After being blown up in Afgan and almost killed, he and his remaining limbs had to go into hiding in Pakistan and since he no longer has a face for TV he's had the Dems try to give W and Rove all the credit.
Osama's having a rough time. I guess terror is a cut-throat business!
This new video is just Osama's way of taking back the MSM limelight. He must be some angry with the leftards and Media (but I repeat myself!)
Imagine if you were a terrorist and someone stole all of your glory! He must be worried that JFKerry and the NYT are trying to steal his virgins, too!
