Harper's short speech was poignant and thought provoking. Wonderful showing of support for our troops, a sea of red on Parliament Hill.
Great applause also for Gordon O'Connor.
When Layton's name was mentioned as an attendee there was a short bit of booing, the MC said "no, no", but the message got out, he's too dense to get it though!
I am so proud of our troops, our Prime Minister, and all of the people who turned out on Parliament Hill to support our troops today. I only wish I could have been there.
I did the next best thing, I guess, and wore red today.
God bless all of our men and women who are in Afghanistan safeguarding our freedoms, not to mention the freedoms of the Afghani people. I am grateful for their expertise, their sacrifice, and their determination to build a democracy where, up to now, there has been none.
The Torch makes good on his reputation Kate as he and I and thousands of patriotic Canadians strived today to reach out to the MSM, and those pitiful sheltered souls hiding in the bubble of their self-denial that Canada and the free world at large have been and continue to be at war with the minions of tyranny.
"WOW" What a proud day for all Canadians, We are standing up, Together to show the greatest support these brave men & women need. Lets hope these rallies continue across this great nation.
The organizers deserve congrat's, This is What Canadian's want Jack, See the picture that is developing.
Say what you want,We are not listening We are laughing at you Jack.
We support our Brave & We support our Prime Minister.
And We Will Remember Them

I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!
