I just sent an email to the contact person at the site for the Iranian teenager soon to be stoned. They have a link to NOW as a supportive contact. I followed their link to NOW, it was listed among many resources, and found no acknowledgement of this poor kid, just a big we-hate-George-Bush logo prominently displayed.

My guess is that the Iranians trying to save this kid, removed(or desperate) from our politics and culture, aren't up to speed on the hypocrisy of the NOW hags - the NOW hags that have never in any meaningful manner denounced the atrocities befalling or that can so easily befall by dogma or custom a whole half billion Muslim females. I explained to them that the NOW harpies aren't your friends. It is in NOW's best interest to see this teenager stoned rather than endorse a concept like the Bush Doctrine that tries to anchor secular democracy in the Mideast. Bush is the friend of Muslim females, an enduring one.

The main suspect in the city's 13th homicide of 2006 turned himself over to Ottawa police this morning. 20-year-old Hasibullah Sadiqi, brother of slain Khatera Sadiqi, entered the Elgin street police station without incident.

He was charged with First Degree Murder, Attempt to Commit Murder, Use of a Firearm while Committing an Indictable Offence, and Possession of a Firearm. He will appear in Court on Sunday.

On Tuesday, his 20-year-old sister was found dead in her car at an east-end mall with a gunshot wound to her head. Her 23-year-old fianc�e, Feroz Mangal, was found with her suffering from 4 gunshot wounds. He remains in critical condition in hospital. cfra.com ...-

Officials say the damage is close to a hundred thousand dollars following an early morning fire at the Abraar Islamic School at 1085 Grenon Avenue.

The school is home to students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Police say the fire broke out around 2 this morning and was quickly contained to a north-western corner of the building.

There were no reports of injuries. Ottawa Police Arson squad is investigating.

Indeed, Mr. Gagliano has tried to register online on the national Website of the party and may have received an automated message acknowledging the receipt of his request. The latter, however, still had to be approved by the provincial wing of the party.

As such, the Liberal Party of Canada (Quebec) confirms that Mr. Gagliano's request has been refused.
