Some Liberal insiders have suggested that Marsha Akman is not the person behind the StopIggy.com website, dedicated to preventing Michael Ignatieff from becoming the next leader of the Liberal Party. Though her name is on the site registration record, it was suggested that she is providing her name to help hide the real site owners, people associated with a rival leadership campaign.
I'm reconsidering that theory. I have found an old website of Akman's, dating back to 2002 and probably earlier, in which she promoted the strategy of using the delegate system to elect a party leader that will pursue a particular agenda. The same strategy, if more fleshed out, has a whole page devoted to it at StopIggy.com.
I don't think it's unreasonable to think she wrote both.
If so, then Akman is not a diversion. She is the person behind the website, or very deeply involved in its construction and in its content. That makes things interesting, since then she could reveal who it was that provided her with the confidential membership list she used on August 22 for a mass anti-Ignatieff emailing.
All that has to happen is for someone in the media to contact her and ask her some pointed questions. Yes, I've found that information too.

Is Volpe still accepting gliberal memberships from dead people? Bwahahahaa!
Who cares?
One's feeling of the Akman is disgust. How *clever* in the meanest sense is her idea of packing conventions with delegates who will not seek the best person to run the party and the country but who will attempt to elect those who will fulfill Akman's narrow social vision. What a weak, poor citizenship this shows. Her worst punishment would be *success*. But that would be punishment for the rest of us.
Canadian party politics is much more interesting than US party politics.
