At Angry in the Great White, we get news of a mysterious disappearance at the University of Western Ontario. The officially sanctioned club, Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights, has disappeared, at least from the web. And not just their own website, but the SPHR-UWO no longer appears on the official list of UWO clubs. At least one person thinks the Jews are behind it.
Mystery solved: the club was deratified and the website kicked off the university server. The post has been updated with some details.
Western has created a great deal of problems for itself. Enough said.
Don't we all remember Professor Elmasry's little rant concerning all Jews over 18 were legitimate targets?

I thought Elmrasy was at Waterloo? Still, Western is getting a bit of a rep. Look at Dewdney. Mind you, he and Elmrasy both teach Comp. Sci. and I believe Dewdney has ties to U Waterloo as well.

Suffice to say there are elements of society who are wont to cause trouble and continue to fight the old battles they left for the good life here in North America. We can't afford to allow them to spread their hatreds here.
Western aka 'party university' is a huge joke to begin with. The only worse place to get a degree is Lakehead.
This is an old fight...it started in the early 80's on campus during the "intifada". It used to be called the Arab Students Association or something like that....makes me wonder if they changed names or were forced to.
But honestly both sides were ridiculous and unbecoming of "educated debate" all polemics and propoganda. So I am not surprised that the "leaders" who gradiated in late 80's continue to engage in the dialogue of the deaf.
As well, they were a pain to listen to after a night out at The Spoke ;-)

they have a superb dental school which I took the time to drive 200 kms each way about a dozen times back in the late 70s to get 2 gold bridges put in my mouth which I still have.
