Chicks Carrying Guns and Kicking Tail:

In 2002, Charmaine Dunbar met a man on an early-morning walk, who threatened her with a rifle. She shot him twice in the stomach.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

For anyone that cringes at the comment above, I'd like to suggest:

1. That is old hat (do you even know what that means?) It means, it's not new.

2. Do want something new, with a more hip and even deadlier context? Try this: ALLAH ACKBAR!

3. Now picture Hizbullocks cowards hiding behind women and children while firing rockets or cutting the head off a bound prisoner or hanging a 14 year old girl. Does "praise the Lord and pass the ammunition" still frighten you more?

Then go here: dailykos.com You'll feel right at home.

"Ohhhh, what's that bulge in your pants?"

"It's my rifle, wanna see?"

"Mmmmmm, yes"

The rest is history.

As you say, heartwarming stories. But, a sobering thought, if these cases had happened in Canada, most of those women would be in jail.

The U.S. Constitional protection of the right to bear arms, becomes even more precious as our world becomes more violent. Too bad we have nothing like it.

If anyone disagrees, refer to Doug's remarks, above.

"if these cases had happened in Canada, most of those women would be in jail."

Baloney, women almost never go to jail in Canada. There's like 1800 female inmates in Canada in total, a number so small as to reasonably conclude that women in Canada are effectively above the law.

Over 95% of inmates - and over 98% of federal inmates - in Canaada are male, numbers which makes a mockery of the concept of equality.

Women can kill with impunity in Canada; there are many examples of women killing or attempting to kill men and not serving any time for it, see Dorothy Joudrie, etc.

Data:

"In 1997,approximately 18% of adults charged were female, an increase from 16% in 1986 and 13% in 1977 (Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics, Uniform Crime Reporting Survey, 1977 to 1997). In
1997-98, females represented 9% of adult sentenced admissionsto provincial/territorial custody, up from 7% in 1986-87. Further, they represented 5% of admissions to federal institutions, up
from 2% in 1986-87 (Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics, Adult Correctional Services Survey, 1986-87 to 1997-98).
...
On Snapshot day, females accounted for 5% of inmates onregister in Canadian correctional facilities (1,807 women out of 37,541 inmates). In provincial/territorial facilities, 7% of the
inmates were women, whereas in federal facilities, less than 2% of the inmates were women. Within individual jurisdictions, Alberta had the highest proportion of females accounting for 10% of the total inmate population."

These are the kind of women who refuse to be raped and robbed who with their guns will send some no good rapist to lay on that marble slab witha tag tied to his big toe

Alright, Bob, so they'd be suffering "House Arrest", or electronic monitoring, or serving under the crushing weight of a suspended sentence. My point was, they would have been charged with a "gun" crime in Canada.

Remember Allan Rock's famous statement"self defence is not a legitimate reason to use a gun"?

There are still a lot of people in the justice system who agree with that sentiment.

dmorris, you jogged my memory-Where is Allan Rock now. Is he still at the UN collecting a taxpayer paycheque.

Well, a gun is a lot better than pepper spray. It's possible to spray yourself, improbable to get confused on which end of the gun to point.

Because of HIV and Hep C, rape has moved beyond being a one time traumatic event, it has the potential of being a residual death sentence for women.

More women need to empower themselves.

She slipped: TWO in the chest; ONE in the head. Other than that, she receives full marks.

You wanna know another famous chick who can pack some heat?

I was watching the "Special Features" on the new movie, "The Sentinal" starring Michael Douglas, Kieffer Sutherland, and Desperate Housewives bombshell, Eva Longoria.

They went for gun training at a shooting range with some former Secret Service agents... and EVA stunned them all, even the former Secret Service guys who were training them! That's right, Eva (Desperate Housewives) is a WAY better shot than Keiffer (Jack Bauer from 24)!!!

(her dad brought her up taking her to the shooting club all the time!)

Message from the women's libbers:

"No more women" ...-

“[Fry’s] withdrawal means there are no more women left in the Liberal leadership race after Toronto lawyer Martha Hall Findlay and Toronto MP Bennett dropped out.”

kinsella's musings

"More women need to empower themselves."

Agree, Penny, except that I'd have said "More people....".

Sounds like a Tory pipe dream to me. And another thing does Harper sends his regrets for the Dawson shootings.........nope. He uses this tragedy to attack the Liberals. I hope the Fuhr falls really hard in the next election. The guy is such a loser in his bad fitting suit.

mary. Allan Rock is back in private law practice, I believe in London, Ontario.

During WW II rissia had woman fighter pilots some became aces

Once again, the lunatic fringe is out in force. You know, I never quite believed the Liberal picture of the Tories as a party of dangerous, deluded dinosaurs and assorted bigots. But then you come across a site like this and you begin to wonder.
