Just to see if we can.
Now, I know he's a leftie. But this online vote is being run by Sask Power - a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation.
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
And in the weirdest of coincidences, during my first attempt to post this, the power went down in Delisle.

Well, not exactly the ugliest fridge I've ever seen (that one was avacado colored) but since saskboy isn't an obnoxious troll, he has my vote.
Thanks for posting this Kate.
And thanks for the vote Texas Canuck.

So what you're saying is that you wan't to have Saskboy's socialist leaning validated by having the state give him a new fridge at the taxpayers expense?
"And in the weirdest of coincidences, during my first attempt to post this, the power went down in Delisle."
YES!!! There is a gawd in heaven!!

Sorry Sakboy this is the ugliest.
Actually, the fridge isn't *that* hard to find, just open up a separate tab/window on Saskboy's page to refer back to and then scroll through the SaskPower page until you find the ugly "Harvest Gold" one (tip: keep your eyes peeled for the white-on-top and brown-on-bottom message board which dominates the top half of the fridge -- made my life easier).
And Richard, it's not like Saskatchewan's actually got a functioning *economy* or anything -- if Saskboy doesn't get a new fridge from the State, how the Hell's he supposed to do it?
Oh. I forgot. He could always move to Calgary (pretty much everybody else I meet here seems to have). ;-)
Voted for your fridge Saskboy, just to show YOU and your ilk the power of Kate's blog. She should be thanked and given a portion of your new fridge when you win. What would you think about that? Is your 'sharing/caring philosophy for real?
Found the fridge. Thanks, Garth. Good luck to you, Saskboy.
Did my bit for you Saskboy. One of those fridges looks suspiciously like the one my late spouse & I bought from the Firestone store in 1958. That had to be the best fridge we ever owned when compared to today's fridges. It was built like a tank. I think it was 13 cu.ft., but for capacity, would put a present-day 18 cu.footer to shame. I finally sold it to someone for their cottage for $25 and if it hadn't been such a hydro pig, would probably still be using it.
I actually like the look of some of those retro fridges. My parents still have the Fridgidaire they bought in 1952. It's been relegated to the basement to hold beer but it still runs. Which means it's outperformed my 24 year old deep freeze that crapped out last weekend.
Saskboy - I think the SaskPower prize is a mini fridge which won't exactly replace your existing fridge...
Hi everyone,
It seems I'm trailing by nearly 200 votes in the last 2 hours. Thanks to all who have voted, or will vote in the remaining minutes.
You're right Marg, but it would still be a step up in kitchen improvement.
"What would you think about that? Is your 'sharing/caring philosophy for real?"
Of course I'd thank her. I'm a non-conservative, not a monster.
Part of sharing and caring is that you do something for someone else, without the guarantee of like treatment in return. It wouldn't make much sense to offer a part of my fridge, although some other favour might.
Unfortunately the best efforts of everyone here, and Saskbloggers, Miss Cellania, and ProgBloggers fell short. The winner had over 400 votes, and my ugly [but not the ugliest] fridge only had just over 200.
