Greener Pastures

From Tunis Hebdo, Tunisia (Translation via Watching America) - the "Talibanization" of a nuclear Pakistan;

After the Taliban collapse, when every kind of Islamist and Jihadist found refuge in Pakistan, the United States very deftly managed to reinforce [Pakistan President] Musharraf's political position, and the contract with the American partner had been sealed.

But caught between the American hammer and the anvil of the people, including most of the army, the Pakistan president doesn't know who to turn to. Officially considered an essential ally in the battle against terrorism, Islamabad is often suspected of playing for both sides. While fighting al-Qaeda, Pakistan's government deliberately encouraged the Taliban to fight the coalition in Afghanistan.

But Musharraf has a number of tricks up his sleeve. In order not to disappoint his people, the man allows certain fanatics to act as they wish, but not without taking note of them and learning their "habits." They are pawns to be offered later to lower the temperature of Uncle Sam. Indeed, it's not at all unusual for Islamabad to deliver some big fish to the White House as an offering, depending on the fast-changing mood of the latter. This is testified to by the capture of Khaled Sheikh Mohammed RealVideo, considered one of al-Qaeda's masterminds. He's the one that already had plans in 1995 to blow up the Twin Towers and the Pentagon.

Furthermore, American-Pakistani self-congratulation at these assault on al-Qaeda and the theology student's regime [the Taliban] is about to be badly interrupted.

If the regime has disappeared, the price has been a general "Talibanization." In other words, things have gone from Charybde to Scylla [bad to worse]. Signs of growing Taliban influence, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, are spreading throughout the tribal areas. In these Pashtun regions of eternal irredentism [areas that are not well incorporated into the state] which are so prone to boiling over, the Students [the Taliban] impose their laws.

In Somalia, the new Islamist regime settles in;
"Peace is sweet but peace without dignity and freedom is no peace at all. The Islamists who took the power in Mogadishu told the people to have peace, go about their business, eat and drink, conjugate and have many children, go to the mosque and pray five times a day, send their children to Madrasses where they get brainwashed and chant Koran interpreted in a satanic way by Wahhabist/Salafist clerics and give praise to Allah that the warlords who kept them hostage for 15 years have gone.

[...]

"Despite their sweet talk and their modest demeanors, the Islamists have a grand agenda. They want to Arabize Somalia and turn it into an Islamic Emirate in the fashion of Taliban. There is already a drastic cultural erosion taking place. Names of the people are no more recognizable. The Islamists are fond of calling themselves such names as Abu Qutayba's and Abu Mansours in keeping with the tradition of the Al Qaeda and other radical groups who hide their real identities behind borrowed names of legendary Muslim leaders.

"The beautiful Somali women have been buried under layers of heavy cloth just like the Taliban and the faithful have been told to shackle them at home. It is just a matter of time before the Islamists declare the Latin alphabet of the Somali language as Haram and change it with an Arabic alphabet in line with Urdu and Farsi. They have already started flogging people for petty crimes and threatened death penalty against those who do not observe the five-times daily prayers.

"It will not surprise anyone if they soon threaten the international organizations not to hire Somali women for work just like Taliban did and as the extremist clerics in the earthquake devastated Kashmir have recently done when they warned NGO agencies against hiring their women or face violence."

Sounds like a job for(Taliban)Jack Layton and the Dipocrites. Nothing here that can't be solved with a cup of tea, some community basketball courts, and a white flag.

The Left a la George Clooney will get on top of this, I tell ya... almost certainly within the next 10 or 12 years. The pompous goof spoke at the U.N. today, not? The war's been going on for 12 or 14 years.
(Mark Steyn: "Clooney Does Darfur")
What will it take to save Somalia, not to mention Sudan, Lebanon,...? Oh well, thank God the innocents have the U.N.!
Of course, if a "coalition of the willing"... oh, forget it. The "West" has too many vacuous do-nothings, who claim to care but, in reality, couldn't give a damn about Somalia, Iraq, etc...
By the way, only a horse's ass would say that Somalia, Iraq, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, Western Pakistan,... can be "taken care of" without armed forces. Lots of killing, you bet. It would all be over with in weeks; just takes a few dozen consequential countries to show there is steel in their spines. Suicide bombers? Each country will be hundreds of thousands of lives ahead (if not millions)if ya know what I mean, PLUS, their populations will have a real chance at life.
If some theocratic S.O.B.s tried to do to Canada what these Islamic fundamentalist turds are looking to do to Somalia, I'd want those nasty Americans driving their tanks right up the number 6 highway.

I wonder whether my father felt this way when news of Hitler started making it's way to Eastern Canada?

Just reading of what's going on is like something out of a horror movie. Some kind of Zombi chiller....only it's real.
Be afraid, be very afraid. Not cowardly afraid, just keep the powder dry afraid.

Pat

To me, the entire Islam culture seems as though it comes from another dimension. A very warped dimension. One that belongs back in the stone ages.

Remember the TV series, The Sliders? Where the heroes were constantly on the run to alternate worlds, to escape some bizarre threat within their current surroundings, only to encounter even more bizarre threats on the other side of the portal?

Hmmm...

Perhaps if we could persuade all these radical SFB's to enter the portal, we could beam them back to the stone ages where they truly belong.

Hell, it's worth a try.

The Fall of Waziristan: an Online History

The Fourth Rail ^ | 9-13-06 | Bill Roggio
The Fall of Waziristan: An Online History Documenting the Taliban's rise to power in Waziristan over the course of 2006 The fall of North and South Waziristan and the rise of the Islamic Emirate of Waziristan was an event telegraphed by al-Qaeda and the Taliban. During the winter of 2006, Osama bin Laden announced his strategy to establish bases and pockets of territory along the Afghan-Pakistani border. The Taliban and al-Qaeda (virtually indistinguishable in this region at this point in time) had been fighting a long term insurgency against the Pakistani Army after President Musharraf put troops in the region...

the sad thing about somalia is we had a chance there a decade ago...so a few airborne troops killed a couple of looters(they were actually probing the wire looking for weak spots),never forget what happened to the force that replaced the canadians in somalia, they took many casualties because the probes were not dealt with as effectively....so, we had a chance there, and the howling moonbats screamed so loud over the death of two stoned thugs that the net result will be millions of deaths...GOOD JOB LEFTY RETARDS

kingstonlad...
I concur, except for the "we had a chance" part. There would still be more than a good chance that the Islamo-whackos could be beaten, EASILY beaten (witness Afghanistan right now; they are gettin' their asses KICKED in the very heart of what could be construed as their "homeland"). All it would take would be some guts, which brings me to your line about "...LEFTY RETARDS"...
Hmmm, I guess you're correct about the "...HAD a chance..." bit, because the West has far, far too many "lefty retards".

when i say we, i mean't the free world...clinton dropped the ball big time

Jack "Taliban" Layton/NDP, anon sources say, has invited Svend "Arafat" Robinson, to attend. A special "Stanley Knowles"* NDP seat/chair, c/w with Raspberry, which has been borrowed from S. Brison, MP, will complete the scenery. Svend is quoted as saying he can fill the void left by Stanley's demise. Boos, ala Reagan, from Svend are being rehearsed with surreptitious guidance from Willy Graham. Knowles was a Methodist christian soldier/socialist whose motto was: Onward, with solidarity, forever, Amen. (pass the plate, now). ...-

Afghan President to visit Canada

September 14, 2006
Ottawa, Ontario

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced that Afghan President Hamid Karzai will pay a working visit to Ottawa and Montreal on September 21-23, 2006. This will be the second meeting between the two leaders, the first having occurred on March 14, 2006, in Kabul.

“Guided by our core values of freedom, democracy, the rule of law and respect for human rights, Canada is proud - along with our allies - to support President Karzai’s legitimate, democratically elected government, said the Prime Minister. “Canada shares its goal of giving the people of Afghanistan, the children, men and women alike, the chance of a better life. A life of peace, security, freedom and justice. A life we as Canadians have for ourselves and that we seek for others.”

All party consent has been given by the House Leaders in the House of Commons to delay the usual order of business to allow for the President to address Parliament. A motion to this effect will be presented in the House of Commons on September 18, 2006 for approval. more:
From the Prime Minister's Web Site (http://www.pm.gc.ca/)

*Three years later, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau made Knowles an honorary officer of the House of Commons and gave him a special seat at the clerk's desk where he could watch the proceedings. A painfully thin Gothic figure, he continued to make regular trips to his sixth floor office and then to the House to watch the daily give-and-take. As Alistair Fraser, the former clerk of the House of Commons, pointed out: "It is hard to imagine Parliament without Stanley." The void he leaves is much greater than a simple empty chair in the huge chamber he so loved. (Can Enc.)

Its time for the for us to support our Christian Brothers.
Afghanistan is a country composed of mainly Islamic people
Why do we support them?
It’s still, punishable by death to convert from Islam.
Christians are routinely rounded killed, children taken away to be given to
muslim families to raise. Christian women forced to marry Muslim men, schools that we rebuild with our tax dollars and dead soldiers, soon turn into nothing more then a place to indoctrinate the children into an Islamic cult.
The worst thing of all is a media and government trying to put a spin on things and refuses to say the truth about Islam.
