Israel must hit Syria now, not wait until Tel Aviv is hit.
If Tel Aviv is hit then Israel must hit Damascus and Teheran

Defense Attorneys, Teachers Gone Wild!!!:
"Much of the testimony prosecutors had hoped to introduce in the first-degree sexual assault trial of former Greenwood teacher Deanna Bobo was ruled inadmissible Tuesday at a pretrial hearing.
The hearing was held to consider motions by the state and the defense regarding what testimony jurors will be allowed to hear when the case goes to trial Sept. 18 in Sebastian County Circuit Court. Bobo, 38, is accused of having sex with a male student younger than 18 last year.
...
Eight witnesses testified that they witnessed unusual behavior by Bobo while they were her students or were attending the school where she taught.
One witness said he saw Bobo sitting with her legs apart while wearing a skirt and no underwear.
Defense attorney Shannon Foster sat in a chair facing the 17-year-old witness, moved her legs apart and asked, “Can you tell if I’m wearing underwear or not?”
“No,” the witness said.
Foster asked the boy to describe exactly what he saw under Bobo’s skirt, but he did not answer. Foster stopped her cross-examination when the boy appeared to be starting to cry."

I got this info from Israpundit this morning. Gabriel's a Lebanese Christian living in the US. She's not hoodwinked by the tricks of Hezbollah. She sees them for the vicious terrorists and unprincipled propagandists they really are.
"Watch Brigitte Gabriel of American Congress for Truth (ACT) on The Cost of Freedom, Cashin’ In on the Fox News Channel Saturday at 11:30 AM EDT. Gabriel will be on a panel discussing why the world should let Israel finish the job and not impose a cease-fire.
"Gabriel can also heard in the greater New York area Sunday morning on WABC at 8:30 AM EDT. Click here to listen. She will also be on Israel National Radio at 9:00 AM. Click for Live Israel Radio.
"Gabriel founder of ACT is the author of ‘Because They Hate’ to be published by St. Martin’s Press on August 15th."
"We've finally given liberals a war against fundamentalism, and they don't want to fight it. They would, except it would put them on the same side as the United States." -- Ann Coulter.
Pretty well says it for the Libs and Alexa and flap- Jack Layton in Canada as well!
'Just a thought triggered by a headline over at Blogging Tories, "Heather's Latest Pick: Stephen Harper."
I wonder if aside from PMSH's support of Isreal, which Heather Reisman and Jerry Swartz applaud, there's been any backlash in terms of booksales at Indigo after Reisman refused to sell the Western Standard with the Muslim cartoons...?
'Just musing out loud...because now that Reisman has moved her support from the Libs to the CPC--or has she really?--I might consider shopping at her book emporium again...
PS--I hope you have a good day with your doggies, Kate. Good luck!! Woof! Woof!

Vitruvius,
thanx for the link. Following it to www.classic-literature.co.uk made my day. What a great escape from propaganda!
Check out the site for the newly published book "Everything Americans know about Canada"
Pretty funny book
Bourque reports that trendy downtown Toronto publishers Key Porter will release what purports to be the inside story of the Conservative party of Canda Oct. 15th.
Tories can rest assured that the book, written by author/community activist/volunteer treasurer for the pro-Kyoto Sierra Club/recipient of loadsa public dough in "consulting" contracts/academic Bob Plamondon, will no doubt deliver a fair and accurate point of view.
Does anybody know what is up with the flags at 3/4 mast on the SaveOnFoods stores in BC?
I know of one that has been like that for months now.
IMO if SaveOnFoods really want to fly the flag at half mast for soldiers killed in Afghanistan then they should do it correctly and fly the flag at 1/2 mast, not 3/4 mast.
I am beginning to think they have no idea of what they are doing and need to consult with the local Legion.
Either that, or maybe SaveOnFoods is flying the Canadian flag at 3/4 mast in remembrance of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Also if anybody needs proof that Canadians are a bunch of weenies, here it is.
Canada WON the WORLD CHAMPION LACROSSE title against the Americans a few weeks ago and nobody even knows it.
Lacrosse is our official Canadian summer game and it is GREAT so get out there and go to a lacrosse game.
You will be amazed at what a great game it is to watch with fast action and really great athletics.
ALERT:
Check out Michelle Malkin's site - Aug.4th post re significance Islamic terrorists assign to Aug.22nd date. That is the date Iran has stated it will give answer to the UNSC re continued uranium enrichment.
In depth interview with 3 former terrorists who now speak out for tolerance. They shoot straight about cultural indoctrination. Fair warning to those on dial-up, it's 16 minutes long. This is a must see. Go to http://no-pasaran.blogspot.com/, scroll down to the Friday, August 4 post titled Terror cult clue time posted by Joe Noory @ 6:15 PM.
I watched the Fox show with Brigitte Gabriel: She was very articulate and spoke forcefully and intelligently. What a relief from the CBC news (sic)--which I never watch, but listen to, along with classical music, on Radio 2. The Fox commentators were, almost to a man, totally cognisant of the real situation in Lebanon: Move on and smash the snake's head. My blood pressure dropped a few notches.
I also saw a brief statement by John Bolton re the ceasefire. I'm skeptical but am waiting to hear the details. One is that Israel will be "allowed" to fight back if--IF?!!!--Hezbollah attacks. ISN'T THAT WHAT ISRAEL'S DOING NOW! As I said, I'm skeptical. If Bush has caved too, I'll be pretty depressed.
Lookout: CBC.ca/news reports on some possible details of the proposed deal. They have attached conditions and it is supposedly NOT an immediate ceasefire. Don't despair yet.
Canadian(n)a; thanks for the heads up. What a psychopath.
Thanks, Hassle! Instead of despairing, I think I'll have a sandwich and a glass of wine. Cheers!
Lacrosse? zzzzzz.....zzzzzzz......
How about MLB or NBA or FIFA even NHL?
Hey, I heard Canada won the World Championship in Tiddlywinks.
Now THAT should make you proud!

Palestinians: Parliament speaker seized (by Israeli military)
Palestinians: Parliament speaker seized 20 minutes ago RAMALLAH, West Bank - Israeli forces arrested the speaker of the Palestinian parliament at his house early Sunday, Palestinian officials said. The officials — the director of the speaker Abdel Aziz Duaik's office and security officers — said about 20 Israeli army vehicles surrounded the house of Duaik, a member of Hamas, and took him into custody. The Israeli military had no immediate comment. ...-

Don't be fooled by the fanatics: Islam's liberals are on the march
The Times (U.K.) ^ | 08/05/06 | Irshad Manji
Even Muslim clerics in Pakistan now hint that the Hudood laws are not divinely created IT IS EASY to believe that the Muslim world has only bad news to offer. But easy doesn’t mean accurate; in truth, there’s much good news to report. First, allow me to confess the obvious: we Muslims play the role of villain quite well, thanks. Last month, a group of terrorists — evidently Islamist militants — blew commuter trains to shards in India. The next day, Hezbollah kidnapped and killed Israeli soldiers, touching off the latest round of bombs and bullets. But I expect the...

We do know Cuba is stuck in the dark ages... However I did find another CNEWS story that says Castro attended his funeral.
Re: Whitmore. Picked up the National Post in town
Front Page:" will immediately plead guilty...sparing them from having to testify."
OK that I can live with if that's what the families want.
Further along:"Daniel Brodsky said his client agreed to the deal in the belief it will allow him to one day regain his freedom." There's much more but I better leave it.
It implies that he and his client hope this could be all but over in two weeks if the police and Crown honour their deal. So say he gets 4 years, serves 1/3 and is out in 15 months. Or refuses treatment and serves the whole term. If they honour the deal, re: the D.O. status, he's out in no time to do it to someone else.
Question; if this played out in the courts and meanwhile minimum sentencing came into effect, would that affect his sentence? Probably pointless to ask, I doubt they'd have anything to go that quickly.
Cherie said: Question; if this played out in the courts and meanwhile minimum sentencing came into effect, would that affect his sentence? Probably pointless to ask, I doubt they'd have anything to go that quickly.
Not likely. The tradition in Canada is not to make laws retrospective. It's apparently based on a nonsensical theory that, had the perpetrator been aware of the stiffer, new penalties, he/she might not have committed the crime. Utter rubbish.
Thanks Bruce. I was pretty sure of the answer but had to ask anyway. Which makes the D.O. designation all the more vital, I think.
I did happen to notice a story in the on-line edition of the National Post saying that some experts think that the deal may not stand up due to language etc. Lets hope. It will be interesting to see if/what the Minister of Justice has to say to my letter.
I'd be very surprised to see the deal stand up. POlice cannot bind the Crown to what they say. Also, the promise, as I understand it, was that the RCMP would make recommendations to the Crown. That type of language essentially means, the RCMP makes the recommendation, Crown considers it, and then rejects it. Case closed.
This type of approach is not that uncommon in barricaded suspects/hostage situations. The hostage negotiator is highly motivated to say and do whatever he/she has to in order to defuse the situation, given that the alternative (I'm speculating here) is the suicide of the creep and his taking the hostage with him.
O Canadians, is your home and naive land about to be carbon-capped? Surely Harper wouldn't allow it.
From: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/08/01/ncarbon01.xml
"Tony Blair and Arnold Schwarzenegger, governor of California, announced yesterday they would explore the possibility for a new trans-Atlantic market in carbon dioxide emissions and other heat-trapping gases which scientists blame for warming the planet."
"Canada, one of more than 160 nations that signed the Kyoto treaty, plans a similar programme."
Schwarzenegger, a notorious RINO, is in for a nasty shock when he finally gets around to reading the US Constitution.
Understood.

Reuters Doctoring Photos from Beirut?
OK, now things are getting weird.
This Reuters photograph shows blatant evidence of manipulation. Notice the repeating patterns in the smoke; this is almost certainly caused by using the Photoshop “clone” tool to add more smoke to the image. (Hat tip: Mike.)
It’s so incredibly obvious, it reminds me of the faked CBS memos. Smoke simply does not contain repeating symmetrical patterns like this, and you can see the repetition in both plumes of smoke. There’s really no question about it. ...-

This could be another MemoGate.
Thomas Sowell via Powerline:
"Peace" movements are among those who take advantage of this widespread inability to see beyond rhetoric to realities. Few people even seem interested in the actual track record of so-called "peace" movements -- that is, whether such movements actually produce peace or war.
Take the Middle East. People are calling for a cease-fire in the interests of peace. But there have been more cease-fires in the Middle East than anywhere else. If cease-fires actually promoted peace, the Middle East would be the most peaceful region on the face of the earth instead of the most violent.
Was World War II ended by cease-fires or by annihilating much of Germany and Japan?
There was a time when it would have been suicidal to threaten, much less attack, a nation with much stronger military power because one of the dangers to the attacker would be the prospect of being annihilated.
"World opinion," the U.N. and "peace movements" have eliminated that deterrent. An aggressor today knows that if his aggression fails, he will still be protected from the full retaliatory power and fury of those he attacked because there will be hand-wringers demanding a cease fire, negotiations and concessions.
That has been a formula for never-ending attacks on Israel in the Middle East. The disastrous track record of that approach extends to other times and places -- but who looks at track records?

What is really weird about this is that the photographer is the one who brought us the green helmeted man holding up a dead child covered in soot except for a spotlessly clean soother hanging around the neck at Qana. This photographer is one sick, sick puppy.
The photographer who took this picture (probably also the person who doctored it), Adnan Hajj, is rather well-known to LGF readers. In fact, rather well-known to the entire world.

This poor child's body was paraded and posed by the green helmeted man for several RESPECTED western media news services.

I've been in contact with Indigo over their blatant interference regarding conservative minded books.
I asked them why Ann Coulter's new book was #1 on the NYTs list yet finding one to purchase through them reminded me of dealing with a crytaquote.
All the Lefty books that even sniffed a spot on the NYTs list were prominently displayed and even promoted on the first page.
They answered that they (Indigo)in fact had nothing to do with book placements on their sites. Liars
