Where Bob Tarantino* left off. Chris Selley;
The Star sure gives its staff writers a lot of editorial rope.
"The question was blunt and penetrating."
You don't often see those two adjectives together, eh? Perhaps because they're nearly opposites. There's nothing probing about a rhetorical question posed by someone whose position is clear ("Too many dead soldiers! Get out! Get out! Aieeeeeee!") but who's too lazy to cobble together an actual argument.
Check it out.

Her manner slick and warm...
Her laughter yeasty and infectous...
A rivelet of persperation traced its way between her alabastor....
I miss Let It Bleed - that was a good blog.

A thought or two come to mind on reading this post.
The number of deaths of Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan (or anywhere else) has nothing to do with the left's position(s) on foreign policy. Deaths are merely one political hammer they use to advance what they really want - no Canadian military at all - at least not one that is armed and able to fight and defend Canada and its useless lefty pacifists and Islamist sympathizers.
If the number deaths were a real consideration for or against anything the left wanted they'd be calling for the shutdown of the BC logging industry which had 44 deaths in 2005 alone.
