As The Left Is Quick To Remind Us

"It's not anti-semitic to criticize Israel."

Watch closely now as the "jews" join we "rednecks" as the newest category of "unCanadian".

(comment #27 by Jingle on a thread titled "Boycott Indigo")

F*cking assholes. If the murder of thousands of Lebanese and the destruction of Lebanon is necessary to their safely-esconced privilaged rich asses, they can get the f*ck out of my country and move to theirs. Assholes. They should be deported to Israel, given a helmet, and sent to clear out a Hizballah tunnel if they are so goddamned firm in their convictions. Goddamn pieces of liebermanesque chickenshit.

Via commentor "Bertski", who provides the translation;
Accordin[g] to the post, when Canadian citizens express support for a Jewish homeland, they cease to be Canadian citizens and are relegated to the status of "Jew" (Jingles says they need to be deported to "their" country). But the extreme left at Babble also do not see Israel as a legitimate state nor do they see a need for a Jewish state. So what to do with all these second class Canadians relegated to "Jew" status? 6 million isn't enough for cretins like Jingles.

What to do, indeed?

Give that man a Brownshirt!

But let me guess: that man has never worn his country's uniform, never considered even risking his life for something greater than himself, and confines his bombast and thunder to his armchair and keyboard. One of the neo-left social plankton, swept back and forth in the tides of what passes for thought among the extreme leftist .

In Jingles' HO, "[Jews and those of us who support Israel] should be deported to Israel, given a helmet, and sent to clear out a Hizballah tunnel."

Hey, Jingles, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

'How about YOU being deported to Lebanon, given a helmet, and sent to clear out an Israeil tunnel where sharp-shooters are hiding out with their sites on YOU?

Hezbollah supporters have no place in Canada; Hezbollah is an illegal terrorist organization, remember?

Rather than letting the left continue to redefine Canada, we must define it to the exclusion of stupidity and historical myth.

The left has become so bold as to say, "...they can get the f*ck out of my country and move to theirs."

Frankly, this country has only become 'home' for the socialist left since it was redefined by Trudeau. And even at that, they didn't mature to the rabid phase until recently. Given the timeline of Canada, their period here doesn't amount to much and their roots run about as deep as a hemlock on the Canadian shield.

This is not their home and we should make them as uncomfortable, unCanadian and unwelcome as possible until it is they who leave.

Given younger Trudeau's recent glowing article in the Star on the good "patriarch Castro" - Cuba sounds like the perfect place for them to migrate.

Radicals on both spectrums give the rational moderates a bad name. I wouldn't even call people who spew that filth lefists or liberals. They are quite simply ignorant and stupid and the faster we put forward intelligent and rational opinions to marginalize these idiots the better.

To all you lieing leftie hezbullie supporting terrorists GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY and go back to the ME where you belong!!!!!

I support boycotting Indigo and Chapters, though - I haven't bought anything there since they decided to make PR hay after 9/11 by banning "Mein Kampf" as "hate literature". No way am I going to support an establishment that takes pride in acting as a censor, esp. a bookstore. Support cool local bookstores instead, or buy from Amazon.ca.

Just wondering if every liberal in Canada who buys a membership in the Liberal party of Canada is issued a handy dandy K-tel Label Maker as part of their membership kit, and if so is it pre-loaded with liberalized labels such as;
Un-Canadian.

Words simply are no longer enough.
ACTION is all that counts in this age of unrelenting terrorist activities.
From 'staging' photos to 'influence' world opinion. WORLD opinion?
What does it matter what the world thinks when your country and everything you live for is attacked daily? In every way, shape and form?
From suicide bombers, kaytusha rocket attacks, killing of soldiers and kidnapping others:
What, pray tell is provocation enough for "world opinion" to get that Israel (and by extrapolation the entire Western world) is fighting for her life, freedom , way of life and ability to get back to living that life of freedom.
All these terrorists want is death and destruction. Let's accomodate them before it is too late.
They need to be quashed and finished.
This was not understood until almost 'too late' in the Second World War.
This enemy is more dangerous and insidious for they do not care how many young they brainwash and send off to die as long as they can continue to direct affairs safely from their 'hidey holes' of Iran or Afghanistan.
As for Kofi Annan and his 'messages' to Israel and his seemingly wide-eyed innocence and outrage against Israel... well, we all know what Kofi has been up to when eyes weren't looking... He and the entire UN are part OF the problem and should be shunted aside so that the work of ridding the world of this Islamic hatefest and murderous intent is completely wiped out. DEAD. Finished.
If they have the bomb they are going to use it one way or the other and if they don't they had better not get their hands on it.
We cannot afford to wait around to find out.
In this alone the West is making a huge mistake and playing with all our lives.

A Touch... is correct, of course. To take one comment off a thread and hold it up as indicative of the entire "left" is ridiculous. There was an earlier posting by Kate last week in which she linked to a piece by Lanny Davis, who justifiably called out certain elements of the left for their lack of civility. But there was one seemingly anti-semitic comment posted on Kos that he referred to, which was taken totally out of context. An explanation is about halfway down in this article:

I actually supported the removal of Mein Kampf from Indigo/Chapters. As a private business, Indigo is free to do as they wish. Furthermore, Mein Kampf IS hate literature and isn't even good literature at that. It's just a big book of crap, if you want to read it take it out from a university library.

meanwhile the various factions of the muslim world gather their forces for a massive campaign of muslim on muslim religious cleansing.

Gotta give ol' Georgie boy the credit, a brilliant strategy that wedges our enemies along their fault lines and gets them to fight each other.

I've also been boycotting Chapters for years, but that is because they refuse to carry gun magazines. My test of a bookstore is to see how good a selection of gun magazines they have and if they carry SOF. Most gun owners I know also boycott Chapters and it will be interesting to see if the moonbats reconsider their Chapters/Indigo boycott once they find out these stores are a gun magazine free zone.

Amazon.com has been a lifesaver but I sure do miss browsing for books.

Of course they are, just as I'm free to object to their policies and take my business elsewhere.

Furthermore, Mein Kampf IS hate literature and isn't even good literature at that. It's just a big book of crap, if you want to read it take it out from a university library.

Not the point. Like it or not, MK isn't some fringe tract or chapbook; whatever its quality, it is a book of some historical import and should be available just as more erudite works by Marx and Lenin are. And, y'know, maybe I want to buy a big book of historically important crap, and I don't want to frequent a bookstore that makes a point of not only not stocking it, but refusing to special order it. I don't want to give my money to some establishment that prides itself on being a gatekeeper of morality like this.

And anyway: C/I, as another poster notes, bans all sorts of material, including any mags that contained The Danish Cartoons. I can't get behind that either.

I always feel the need to have a shower after reading Rabble or Daily Kos. Today was not different!

What I see here and in comments elsewhere is not reasoned debated. It's all or nothing. Hezbollah/Israel is evil. Leftist/rightists are wrong/rabid/echo chamber. If you want to understand why the blogosphere is mostly so partisan, it's because they can't see you when you post hate drivel. What's the answer?

Why would any sane person buy or want to buy mein campf when it is available for free? Check it out if you've got time to waste.

Going through babble's comment thread is quite telling and somewhat reflects Fergy's observation above.

No one was debating the pros or cons. They were mostly worried about where to buy books. While that is a good thing even though it involved boycotting the Reismans, the fact that these martini suckling pseudo intelligentsia are more worried about saving a couple of dollars then debating the issue is what is wrong.

They are more scared of the truth and admitting it then anything else. While the right and even the far left have had to constantly defend the principles for which they stand the over populated middle has been able to utter a cesspool of lies and most importantly and disappointing too, beleive them to the point of not realizing the sorry fate that this delusional existence is carrying them to.

A most excellent narrative of what ails the left is found here (as sourced by David Frum) http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/749564.html

It deals specifically with Israel, but it is not too hard to read between the lines.

Fergy, could you be more specific? 'Everyone on this blog is posting "hate drivel"?

As The Right Is Quick To Remind Us:

Jew-hating Jews can only be liberal. Really?

I can't wait to see how much money he'll be pouring into Russ Feingold's campaign.

Sorry Fergy, we're not "nuanced" like Liberal politicians. Unfortunately somethings are just black and white.

I recently left an extreemly nasty Blog where a person named Michelle was calling for a boycott of Indigo and chapters because of something the owners did. From the tone of her rant I would say it was they stopped carrying "ARCHIE" comics

I'm on the same page as been around, Fergy. You say, "What I see here and in comments elsewhere [where?] is not reasoned debated. It's all or nothing."

I'd agree that not all posts here are reasoned debate--yours, for example. But a lot are.

Secondly, sometimes "all or nothing" is part of a reasoned debate. E.g., Islamic terrorists are evil because they want to subjugate or kill us, which has been demonstrated on many occasions, such as 9/11. For the West to dither, play footsie with and even aid and abet (e.g., Reuters propaganda photos) the enemy, rather than launching a solid offensive is not a good idea. If the West doesn't cotton onto this soon, we're in very big trouble and likely to be either Muslim or living in dhimmitude, possibly in our lifetimes.

Would you suggest that my comments are not part of a reasoned debate just because they express an "all or nothing" scenario?

Please be more specific.

heres a soldier's letter from the Calgary Sun:

I'm disgusted and angry and need to vent!

I spent most of my life in the Canadian Armed Forces, willing to offer up my life for you -- for your freedom!

I didn't say I won't fight for you because you are of Muslim or Jewish ancestry. I was willing because you are Canadian! Now I see my Canadian people out on the street to glorify organizations such as Hezbollah, an organization only too happy to kill our fellow citizens and take away the freedoms so many died to give us.

I am proud to be Canadian, as I believe, naively perhaps, all Canadians should be. Funny, people emigrate here to enjoy the freedom and democracy Canada affords them, then support causes that would, if successful, bring with them only the harshest of theocracies or police states.

The Nasrallahs and bin Ladens of the world do not have your best interest at heart.

All personal feelings aside, I grieve for all those who have died in Lebanon and Israel. How many innocents must die to satisfy the bloodlust in these men's hearts. Try walking with those of us who truly care about you -- who have built a peaceful nation of opportunity and freedom. Peace be with you, as I pray it will one day be with all.

J.W.S. McNeil

(We should all pray for that.)

Why would any sane person buy or want to buy mein campf when it is available for free?

Because it looks so groovy and provocative on the bookshelf, and makes a fine conversation starter.

Isreal is so paranoid about it's neighbours. I just hope we can get this settled in Lebanon and Afghanistan. I see the movie about 911 is coming out. All this is for is to work up support for the USA's war. That's all. Releasing tid bits of phone calls during 911 is US propaganda to get support for the war in Iraq. Why now? Because the Republicans are losing support. And don't kid yourself the Democrats are no better.
