Rusty Shackleford has widened the hunt;

Another photo by Reuters reporter Hajj has been DEFINITEVELY debunked.

What is a passed as a photo showing an Israeli bombing raid against a "village" is actually of an F-16 taking defensive measures.

Be sure to read the whole thing - there's lots more. Haji has now been fired.

... bonus - Michelle Malkin has captured the Reuters Photo Kill Advisory on yesterday's "enhanced smoke" example.

And more here on how this incident relates to the Qana coverage.

Update - Ladies and gentlement, we have ourselves another Reuters picture kill.

I noticed Matt Drudge has a link to Reuters employee being fired. Right below is a flashback to the May 26 incident.

Incidently Matt Drudge is on radio live right now talking about this. Maybe coming towards end. I just found out. He lists some stations you can listen live.

*cough* false flag *cough*

Smoke Gets in Your Lies
By Adnan Hajj

They, asked me how I knew,
The photos they were true,
I of course replied, stringers here inside,
Cannot be denied.

They said some mainstream media find,
All who read are blind,
When a war's afire, you must realize,
Smoke gets in your lies.

So I staged them, and daily papers laughed,
To think they'd doubt photographs,
And yet today, my lede has gone away,
I am without my lede.

Now laughing blogs deride,
Reuters cannot hide,
So I smile and say, when a lovely flame dies,
Smoke gets in your lies,

Smoke gets in your lies.

This takes me back to the War in Bosnia, when I remarked how frequently that the same aged woman was getting her house/relatives destroyed in so many different townns.

This broke at freerepublic , the MSM must have a huge hate on for those guys. Looks like Reuters is going to have to call this one honestly from now on if they want to salvage any of their tattered crediblity.

Reuters drops Lebanese photographer over doctored image> (They claim is Qana work is legit.)

Reuters ^ | Sun Aug 6, 2006 5:56pm ET164 | Reuters
LONDON (Reuters) - Reuters, the global news and information agency, told a freelance Lebanese photographer on Sunday it would not use any more of his pictures after he doctored an image of the aftermath of an Israeli air strike on Beirut. The photograph by Adnan Hajj, which was published on news Web sites on Saturday, showed thick black smoke rising above buildings in the Lebanese capital after an Israeli air raid in the war with the Shi'ite Islamic group Hizbollah, now in its fourth week. Reuters withdrew the doctored image on Sunday and replaced it with the unaltered photograph after...

Reuters scandal demands an outside investigation

The American Thinker ^ | August 7, 2006 | Thomas Lifson
Reuters scandal demands an outside investigation Reuters now admits supplying the world’s media with crude propaganda pictures, faked by an Arab photographer. The agency’s journalistic standards are now a global laughingstock. If the agency hopes to regain credibility it must appoint an outside panel of experts to review other work of the same photographer, including the controversial photos supplied from Qana. Reuters has informed Adnan Hajj that they will not accept any more of his work. He is now identified as a “free lance photographer.” The agency also notes Hajj worked for Reuters as a non-staff freelance, or contributing photographer,...-

Extreme Makeover - Beirut Edition
Either this woman is the unluckiest multiple home-owner in Beirut, or something isn't quite right.

I think it is a terrible shame that this man has been fired from Reuters simply for showing initiative and enthusiasm in his work.

Ah well, perhaps the Federal Liberals and NDP could use a creative photographer in their publicity department (The Toronto Star).

Reuters has a scapegoat? Wonderful, all's right with the world, we can now be assured of no more fakery, credibility restored, ya, right. We are now expected to believe this guy Hajj was the only one involved in this latest ruse? Time will tell, but Reuters is in deep trouble when it comes to trusting and running with their reports, they will first have to be verified by another source , what credible news agency will want to go that route?

liz j says...
what credible news agency will want to go that route?
torstar, G&M, CBC, CTV to mention a few.

Spike: What? Your calling torstar. G&M, CBC, CTV credible enough to get the second source, a second opinion? Gawd, give me a break. Of course you aren't serious, right?

On the 10:00 a.m. CBC radio news today, the Reuters picture story was featured: so far, so good. However, two very important facts were ommitted. 1) That the photographer is an Arab, and 2) That the pictures were prejudicial against Israel. Hmm . . .

Aren't these two FACTS somewhat salient for Canadians to know in order to assess the significance of this story?

CBC just makes me sick. I think I'll contact the ombudstoady about this latest dereliction of the CBC's mandate: just for the record, mind you, because this corrupt Tammany-like bottom feeder thinks it can do whatever it pleases.

remember the gulf war. CBCpravda called it the biggest environmental disaster of all time. they showed the same bird covered in oil for a week.
what they didnt mention was that Iraq had blown up the terminal.

but what always struck me was calling it the greatest environmental disaster of "all time" apparently burning a few million barrels of oil was worse that the K-T contact or the Permian die-off.
