  1. I was going to ask if that was where you were then I saw the date. Oh well maybe you can pencil it in for next year?

  2. The Art of the Dead Baby:
A Joint Piece by the MSM and hezbollah.
    Picasso’s “Guernica” is but a foretaste. …-
    The Corruption of the Media
Today, we are continuing today with what has become a unique blogosphere experiment in co-operative writing, with comments, new pics and information being built into the piece as it develops. Keep it coming and thanks.
    Progress board
Act 1 – “Dead baby” – more or less complete (pics needed of post-scene 3)
Act 2 – “Red Cross workers” – under construction
Act 3 – “The camera run” – not yet in place
Act 4 – “Caught in the act” – not yet in place
The piece, incomplete so far – the “blogosphere” response to the MSM – begins here…
    Excerpt:
This, however, is not what happens to the body of the dead baby. But, to understand fully what happens next, we must have some idea of the geography of the scene.

This is no lowly staff hack doing a routine “filler”. This is the “big guns”, out to do a hatchet job. And thus does she begin her account:
After hours of digging in the blistering heat, Salam Daher emerged from the wreckage with the body of a 9-month-old baby, a blue pacifier still pinned to its nightshirt.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Gannon has gushed forth in this manner. With a dateline of Qana on 30 July, she wrote for AP:
Abu Shadi Jradi pulled bodies out of wreckage for hours – two toddler girls wearing tiny gold earrings, a small boy whose pale blue pacifier still hung from his neck. Somewhere in the middle, Jradi slumped beneath a tree and wept. …-

  3. Puts a whole new meaning to “with a stroke of his brush…”
And I thought writing my name in the snow was impressive (as a kid).

  4. Your point being? (Post Picasso’s ‘Guernica’, and take a closer look at the expression on the horse’s face, and then judge for yourself!)
Things like that- a comment on the Spanish Civil War- are am example of what made Picasso famous. Nothing has changed. (Giving publicitity to rubbish isn’t going to change anything, either.)

  5. bob, have a good day.
And why not stay away? No one asked you to come and, if you don’t like sda, hey, that’s fine. There are lots of other places on the Internet that would suit you very well. Please find them and have a good time.
On the other hand, if you actually have something worth saying, say it.

  6. The above is not an authentic “Bob” comment – I always capitalize my name, and offer higher quality invective. Clearly, fake “bob”‘s comment is an anti-backbaconist “false flag” operation…

  7. “Interestingly, this is not the first time Gannon has gushed forth in this manner”
God forbid someone used emotion when describing dead children being pulled from rubble.
Does that really bother you maz? or am I reading this wrong.

  8. “Things like that- a comment on the Spanish Civil War- are am example of what made Picasso famous.”
Picasso was also a communist (a wealthy one too). It’s easy to forget what a squalid affair the Spanish Civil War really was.
We’re routinely offered up drivel about the Mac-Paps and Norman Bethune and the epic struggle against nasty old Franco.
But the reality is something less glamorous: a seedy, inept little war between Stalinist and fascist proxies.

  9. Yes,talk to some elderly Spaniards and ask them what they thought of the Internationalists and the communist proxies
Why do we continue to lionize the Mac Paps and Bethune?
Oh..that’s right because Ma CBC really has a marxist bent.
T.Douglas the greatest Canadian anyone? give me a break..

  10. That’s hilarious. Good on him.
While I prefer other uses for my penis, he has more visual artistic talent than I. So should I be envious of another man for the talents of his penis?
Not I… I’m sure he’s brought much satisfaction and pleasure into the world through the creative potential of his penis.

  11. Another sign that we have devolved to paganism. Worship of the body, sex and health paranoia fit right in.
What ever happened to developing the mind and the spirit?
He should take his show to Iran. That will take care of “things.”

  12. Does this guy have insurance on said member, in case of an accident?
Some day’s I wonder if this Civilization is worth saving with Morons like this being extolled as Artists when in ANY era , he would have been consigned to a mental institute. Not an art gallery.

  13. js: Yes, I think you are missing the point of the story that maz2 was linking to. Two people, supposedly digging through different rubble on different days, but finding the same baby (or so it would seem)…that is the point that was trying to be made.
It suggests that the Hezbollah have a human chain working…bringing the dead into the morgues with flash bulbs popping and then taking them out the back to circle around to the front again to be photographed. Or so it seems to be…

  14. Alright!! No one else will bring it up. Kate, you’re going to the dogs. I told you many times that travelling around the country, keeping company with the dogs would do you in and now look at what has become of our beloved Kate…..
    She’s a…………penile are critic.
Oh God, I can’t stand it, I’m going to go out and jump off the bottom step.
    Pat
(How’d you do in the show?)

  15. What an a$$h–e! If he were American he’d get National Endownment for the Arts funding for his breakthrough Shock of the New appendage series and timely anatomical deconstruction homage to the artist. Gag. And gag some more.
It’s the little avant garde wannabes that will pay the admission, feeling sanctified by their progressiveness and the frivolity of it all. Think NYT’s Style column. They’ll dismiss him as a bozo while simultaneously finding merit in his reinstating the idiomatic phallic Picasso. Artistic struggles and all that pathos versus pure slime angle. The NYT’s would find the right balance, a bit more highbrow, but, with the same frolicking tone of this article too. Gag.
I’m really sick of these people and may be going over to the Dark Side in saying that I’d love to see him take this on the road and do sidewalk portraits in Saudi Arabia with his little peepee. Now, that would be good theater.

  16. Did they have any ventriloquists at the Puppetry of the Penis stage show? That alone would have been worth the price of admission.

  17. One hundred years ago, about 700 works were attributed to Rembrandt. That number stands today at about 350.
There is only one known fake art work of Fidel. Here it is. …-
Castro Photo a Fake – Proof
    A Soldier’s Perspective ^ | 13 August 2006 | Chcknhawk
The Drudge Report posed an important question today: “Read or Fake?”, referring to the recent photo of Castro holding a copy of a current Cuban newspaper. I decided to find out since the link to the article didn’t answer the question. I saved the photo and ran it through my well-trained Photoshop eye. Upon initial review, the photo appears legitimate. However, after zooming in 400% on the photo, the truth is revealed – the photo is a fake. …-

  18. KATE, just another example of the LOSERS trying to piss the WINNERS off !!
At the risk of over-simplification, my 2 cents. But first I want to MAKE MYSELF CLEAR. By Left Wakos, I, and I think most others here, DO NOT mean the hard working, such as carpenters, bricklayers ect. As far as I am concerned they are on the opposite end of the spectrum from the Latte Croud. We would not have our healthy life style if it were not for the “Laborers”. They are the builders, the Terrorists/Protestors are the wreckers.
For the sake of coping-out, challenging authority, pissing-off, ect, some will cut off their nose to spite their face. It has been going on for decades.
Perhaps now we are seeing the culmination, end result, whatever, of all the LOSER’S DEAD ENDS. The Wako’s and their partners, The MSM, have pulled out all the stops in their effort to “stop” the winners. Warren Kinsella saw the folly of Paul Martin’s “ways” and brought him down. My opinion, WK can speak for himself.
DRUNKEN SPEAK-EASIES of the twenties, lost their shirts, but they were the “Hip Croud”.
HARD ROCKS of the fifties turned up their collars and flunked-out.
And the best example of all, THE HIPPIES. Counter Culture, Peace-Nicks. Don’t need the good life, pissed now that they are middle aged and see that others still have it, tear it down too. Protests, even terrorism.
Ring in your toungue. Sure must feel good every hour of the day and night. But it “makes a Statement”. LOL
60 years ago Quebec was the most Religious place in NA. POOR, POOR, POOR. Now it is the least religious place. Still mad that the ROC was not hampered by religion.
The Wakos believe in PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINES, like the economic falicy of wind power. Ticked-off that the winners, including most Pension Plans, are making money hand over fist with with realistic Hydro, Oil, Nat Gas, ect.
The losers believed Gore & Suzuki Kyoto Hoax and now are left in the dark.
Muslims see that their religion is not paying dividens and now want to destroy our way of life also.
We now see how fanatic Trudeau was. Fidel Castorated was his idol, according to PET’s son. Strange how Cubans flee the “loser” island when ever they can.
The “Basket Weavers” wonder why they can’t convince the Construction Worker to part with his hard earned money. Maybe get a real job, eh?
Communism and the East Block failed. Best example to date of the Hoax of Socialism. But did lefties learn a lesson ? No, they want all the world to try The-State-Knows-Best again. What IS SCARY now is The UN, Annan, Maurice Strong, Martin are willing to ADMINISTER it.
Oh, should mention, it does not work either for the winners to accumulate all the wealth. Roman Empire, 1930’s collapse. But really, isn’t 50% tax rates enough of an effort to level the field with the “Losers” ? And by losers, I mean the Cop-outs….. Lots of sympathy and help to the “Through-no-fault-of-their-own” types.
    118.9 c/l , LOL, I have a scooter, take that Arabs.

  19. I think your spam filter squashed my last comment.
Anyway, Kate, I really wish you wouldn’t pay attention to such baseness.
It’s (as you allude to) just another sign of a Godless, pagan movements that worships the human form through adulation of sex, health, and all things temporal. Commies always have worshipped primtive cultures. Again, it’s part of the Leftist agenda to kill Judeo-Christianity and anyhting that promotes the perfection of spirituality and the intellect (and individual liberty) over that of the body and the erotic.
How do you suppose one of these puppet performances would go over in Iran?
    Any guesses?

  20. I tried painting with my penis once, but by the time I finally finished the living room I wasn’t half the man I used to be…

  21. JJM:
spain was also the proving grounds for the new nazi air force and their dive bombing techniques,
siding of course with franco which kept spain out of the conflict which was just around the corner.

  22. dont mean to be crude but I once farted out of my cock.
the urologist used a newfangled camera-on-the-end-of-the-probe to look at the inside of my bladder and they had to pump air in first.
only one way out for it !!!

  23. Acrylic Paint?? This poses some questions considering you should not let acrylic paint dry before cleaning and use cold water to get it off the brush.
Ugh…..I am not even going to go down this path.

  24. To demonstrate solidarity with other moonbat causes, I think the organizers of the festival should hold it next year in Tyre, or Gaza or Riyadh.

  25. I’ve previously painted a few pearl necklaces before, but never in public.
This guy sounds like he is having fun in an adult environment, with like minded people (ie. sex show attendants). I don’t really think it’s being done for art’s sake, more for entertainment and humor, so I don’t see what the big deal is.

  26. Doug, I hear you. But I think the problem is its base frivolity: No doubt, it is done “more for entertainment and humor”, but it’s so immature and “look at me!”
In my over three decades as a teacher, I’ve noted that too many people fail to grow up these days: We’ve got a society full of self-centred adolescents–even if they’re over 30! (Jack Layton’s a prime example.) This is having deleterious effects everywhere one looks. First of all, we have a critical mass of disaffected, angry kids because the adults in their lives have never grown up enough to take care of them properly. Most parents can actually feed and clothe their kids, but the “adults” are still so emotionally immature and dealing with their own navel gazing issues, that their children don’t come first in their lives. As a result, the lives of their kids are full of disarray and a serious lack of discipline. I’ve never taught so many kids with significant self-control problems as I do now.
I’ve seen this from the front row and, as a teacher, have never had to work harder: Dealing with seriously dysfunctional behaviour has become a major focus in too many classrooms. It’s not only extremely exhausting, it often makes classrooms very unpleasant places to be, and places where academic learning drastically suffers. And, as I’ve said many times before, the “adults” at the office, who do not behave like grownups, try to appease the miscreants. Around and around the merry-go-round spins, while the centre isn’t holding.
So, when I see someone like Pricasso, a father of four, apparently, behaving like a toddler–they like playing with certain private parts of their anatomy in public–it fills me with dismay. What kind of a role model is he? I’ll answer: a very poor one. Our kids don’t need even one more model of decrepit frivolity.

  27. Sorry. In a post that doesn’t seem to be up yet, I addressed Doug, when it should have been Deity.

  28. Good morning lookout. While I agree that in a lot of cases, society has gone to hell in a handbasket, I really don’t have too many objections with pricasso provided he doesn’t do this “act” in public (other than adult venues) or get a government grant from the Canada Arts Council. This form of “self expression” in the arts is just a “look at me” attention getter and not too much in the art world. After all, I’ve seen paintings from an elephant sell for big bucks, clothing made from flank steak and a hundred other stupid things that so called patrons of the arts suck up.
Now someone like Kate is a true artist that actually is able to put food on the table, be creative, run a blog and still have a life. All without government grants and gimicks.

  29. I hear you, Texas Canuck. And, personally, I could care less about Pricasso and his pr**. However, I stand by my comments regarding the cumulative effect on our kids of such mindless frivolity. A lot of our decadent, present day culture, e.g., South Park AND aspects of The Simpsons and Family Guy, are actually very entertaining and hilarious–FOR GROWNUPS, whose world view and moral values have already been reasonably formed. My view is that these shows are really for adults, not kids at all. The black humour and twisted morality–Stewie wants to KILL his mother!–are taken at face value by kids. Not a good thing.
Anyway, Pricasso’s likely to do far less harm to our kids than TV or the very scary, very violent computer games too many of them play. But I’m getting thoroughly tired of the whole decadent mess. We’re already paying for it big-time in all kinds of ways and will continue to. Too bad for all of us.

  30. the bear, “and we wonder why they keep issuing fatwa’s against western society”. EXACTUALLY !! Drives them nuts, especially obscene acts. None more so than that of the Boss man of the most powerful country in the world having “sex” with a fluesy right on the Oval Office desk !!

  31. You said it all, lookout. Kids raising kids. Don’t really care if the kids screw-up. Actually, to many of the wako lattes, it is good if they can also take-down the rest of society. Lots of tools-of-the-trade out there; drugs, pot, porn, welfare, MSM, videos, fanatics, old hippies, Lewis style aids conferences, attention deficit excuses, ….

  32. Lookout: I think all this crap goes back to who is responsible for raising children these days. I recall being told what I could and couldn’t watch on TV (both channels). My parents, (like me and the wife) took responsibility for raising children. The same with the dreaded note from the teacher. I wasn’t a happy camper after my parents read that.
These days, I have witnessed I don’t know how many brats having a fit in public only to have the parent ignore them and let the rest of the world hear this crap, or else cater to the kids every whim. Spank your child?? Then be prepared to go to jail.
Like everything else, there is a line that one does not cross and I think the “progressives” of today haven’t figured out where that line is anymore. It’s a dipper/lieberal social experiment gone awry. IMHO

  33. TC – Right on! Too many parents AREN’T taking responsibility for their children. The “dreaded teacher’s note”? Not any more: These days the parents are just as likely to get angry–really angry–with the teacher, who’s only the messenger of the kid’s rotten behaviour. E.g., Near the end of the school year, in temperate, objective language in the child’s agenda book, I reported to the parents of this difficult student–who had made, by their own admission, excellent gains, behaviourally and academically in my class–an incident, which I witnessed, of his unpleasant actions toward a younger student in the class. I asked the parents to sign my entry in the agenda book. Result? No signature, but a huge, heavily penned “X” through my comments.
Yup, there are lines being drawn, but, quite definitely, not the ones that need to be. (TC, under the circumstances, I think you’ll be sympathetic to my cavils at Pricasso’s antics!)
    Cheers!

  34. Indeed, this is hardly a weird art story. You want weird, do a web search on the Vienna Aktionists movement or the performance art troupe Coum Transmissions, both of which were active in the 60s and 70s. Pricasso may be a “racy” bozo, but at least he’s not killing chickens and giving himself piss enemas onstage, all on the public dime.

  35. Sorry Dudly, TMI, Too Much Information there. The mental images alone are lible to scar me for life.

  36. Condoms don’t work terribly well on the flacid penis… and you must have a flacid penis to get the soft flowing brush strokes just right.
Or so my dad always told me.

  37. Good grief!
    What’s next??
Loonies renting themselves and their appendages out as substitute kitchen utensils, towel racks, sign posts, garden tools, etc.??

  38. …just occurred to me: He should run for Parliament – if he wins, he could become the next ‘honorable member from Limpwick’. 🙂
