McKinnon Gets Caught

Press release;

Mr. Steve McKinnon, National Party Director of the Liberal Party of Canada issued a public apology to Ipsos Reid, Canada’s largest market research and public opinion polling company, on the CTV show “Mike Duffy Live” for comments he made about the company on the same show on Tuesday, May 23, 2006.
During that broadcast on May 23rd, Mr. McKinnon spoke about the results of a poll released by Ipsos Reid on May 23 which showed the Conservative Party to have support of 43% nationally, a level not seen since November of 1988.
Mr. McKinnon was served with a legal demand notice for retraction and apology on May 24, 2006. In compliance with part of that notice, Mr. McKinnon stated on the May 25 edition of “Mike Duffy Live”:
“Mike, last time we spoke — on Tuesday — we were discussing the latest Ipsos Reid poll. In that discussion I made statements about the methodology which were without basis in fact, and I would like to retract those statements and apologize to Ipsos Reid.”
Recently, Mr. McKinnon concluded the matter by providing Ipsos Reid with a letter of retraction and apology and paid a settlement cost.

  2. McKinnon looks like a guy who’s been constipated since he was born. Look at him. That’s the mouthpiece of the Liberal party of Canada – at least he’s found an alternative orifice to relieve himself.

    They use to make these comments without fear of retribution, however the tide has been changing in Canada & Canadians are getting a little tired of them, as evident in the last election & recent polls.

    It’s off (soon) to Arizona for Chuck.
    CP writer says him was a “former sponsorship bureaucrat”. Previous reports said him was sponsorship “boss”. The CP now admits that Ad$cam Chretien/Martin were/was da Boss.
    Chuck’s mouthpiecess said at the trial/farce: Chuck is an exemplary citizen, even though he was guilty of fraud. What’s her name? Googoo knows: Lucie Joncas (for the record).
    MONTREAL (CP) – Former sponsorship bureaucrat Chuck Guite was freed on $20,000 bail Friday, pending the appeal of his fraud conviction.
    In a written decision, Quebec Court of Appeal Justice Francois Doyon said Guite doesn’t pose a threat to society if he’s out of jail while he’s waiting for the appeal. The judge also acknowledged that Guite has grounds for appeal of his conviction and that the 62-year-old has no prior criminal record.

    Lib TDH, is in a twist over Oliver; says sue Jack’s pants of off his gang. Or, the gang off of his …. sic ’em, Libs.(Innocent? So was Chuck Guite.) …-
    July 7, 2006 – So David Oliver was telling the truth – he was completely innocent.
    Honestly, this is one of the dirtiest plays I have ever witnessed in politics. Regardless of whether Oliver had a shot at winning or not, to try and ruin a man’s reputation (nationally, no less) based on being “mistaken in my interpretation of what happened” is unacceptable. Shame on the NDP for taking allegations that were thinner than the gruel served in Kinsella’s war room (I hear that he works you to the bone! : ) and promoting them so enthusiastically to any media outlet that would listen. I hope that he successfully sues the pants off of Jack Layton’s irresponsible and callous political gang.
