Ethnic Cleansing In Ontario

Via email;

Citizens Of Caledonia have confirmed today in a meeting of town’s poeple that Homes on Argyle St. And Sixth Line are being purchased by McGuinty. People must move out by the end of October. People are being offered above market value for their homes.

From the comments, a quote from Canadian Sentinel worth stealing (hence the change in title) – that the actions of Dalton McGuinty’s Liberal government amount to “ethnic cleansing with compensation”

Update – a few commentors have objected to the characterization of this as “ethnic cleansing”. Really? Let’s review the facts and the history of this conflict:
The home-owners being selected for buy out on the basis of race. And if they refuse – what? Will McGuinty enforce the law if they are assaulted or their property damaged by “Six Nations” aboriginals? He certainly hasn’t to date. The OPP have refused to enforce court orders, they have refused to enter the reserve to apprehend persons alleged to have attempted to murder their own officers. There have been reported cases of arson, theft, extortion, assault, and desctruction of property.
The message being sent by the Ontario government in appeasing these criminals is loud and clear – “either we buy you out, or they’ll burn you out.”
A reminder for those commentors who seem ignorant of the history of the illegal occupation of Caledonia, via Dust My Broom;

The continued occupation of a disputed tract of land in Caledonia by aboriginal protesters in the face of an earlier finding that they are in contempt of court means that rule of law has still not been restored in the community, says the judge who issued the order.
And in a democracy, when court orders are not obeyed, “the court is not hurt by it. It is destroyed by it. There will be a return to rule of law,” Mr. Justice T. David Marshall of the Ontario Superior Court said at a hearing yesterday as he ordered parties to return to court on July 24.

Update A statement has been released by Ontario PC leader John Tory;

“The rule of law must return in Caledonia on all fronts,” said Tory. “Dalton McGuinty must finally show the leadership necessary to bring an end to the continued lawlessness. That means no occupation of any land by anyone; no lawless behaviour by anyone; and no defiance of court orders by anyone.

  1. If this were true, it would amount to ethnic cleansing with compensation.
    Disgusting. It certainly would be.
I can’t believe a Canadian politician would contemplate such a thing.
I hope, for Mr. McGuinty’s sake, that this is not true and that he wouldn’t try to buy off people to appease others of a specific race or alleged ancestral heritage.
Doing so would set a very dangerous (and expensive, in that it’s an unapproved-by-the-taxpayers expenditure) precedent.
Canadians don’t want any kind of racism to be sanctioned or practiced by the state, period.
But… it has already happened. Look at Caledonia.

  2. canadian sentinel – you’ve outlined it exactly. Using taxpayer money to satisfy a ‘multicultural group’, who instead of being charged with criminal and terrorist actions, are being ‘soothed’ by having the White Guys moved out of ‘Their Territory’. At taxpayer expense.
And, no-one in the political realm is saying a word against it. Canadians are so brainwashed into political correctness and multicultural relativism, that they can’t see how wrong this action is.
McGuinty is buying silence; he wants to get re-elected, and you know what? I bet he will; there’s no opposition to him.

  3. Who says crime doesn’t pay.
The precedent has been set, every aboriginal who wants anything now has a methodology to rip off the taaxpayer

  4. CS and ET–you have hit the nail on the head–too bad it wasn’t McSpender under the gavel! PC and multiculti wins again–and we lose–for all the same reasons that our glorious leader tells us multiculturalism and political correctness are so important. What more proof do we need that we are the ones that pay for these ‘initiatives’ but nothing applies to the whiteman. Talk about being marginalized.
This has not even hit the news from Hamilton yet.
Reading the Caledonia website above they state that some homeowners did not even want to sell, but were forced by McLiar. What to do?

  5. I notice McAsswipe isn’t giving the indians HIS home.
The man should be dragged behind a bus from Queen’s park to Caledonia.

  6. Its like I say, what’s yours is yours until it becomes inconvenient for some level of government.
Should we be surprised at Duuuuhlton acting like all money and all land in Ontario belong to the government? Nuh uh, because this is precisely what all conservative minded people have been raging on about snce the 1970’s.
It DOES all belong to the government, kids. Your deed of title isn’t worth the paper its printed on. Duuhlton is just the first provincial gubmint weenie who found it expedient to make this fact obvious.
    Nice country, eh?

  7. The real problem is that ‘whitie’ gorging on donuts complains in coffee shops while ‘natives’ tear down hydro towers and cause in your face havoc.
Which squeaky wheel is going to get the grease?

  8. Why stop at the “aboriginals”?
Each and every group can now hold the Gov’ts in Canada to ransom, legally. The precedent has now been set.
The Hutterites, Doukhobors, Muslims, etc., all now have the “right” to occupy land, anywhere, at any time in Canada. It’s now legal.
Multiculturalism has triumphed. Canada as a sovereign nation is as dead as the Roman Empire.
ET has it right; no one in the political realm has a word to say against it.
Qui tacet consentit – Silence gives consent.
Watch for more. The “Balkanization” of Canada is afoot. …-

  9. The problem of property rights not being included in the leftist charter has reared its ugly head.

  10. What exactly am I paying taxes for and why should I not be spending the money on arms to defend myself with instead?
The a$$holes in government I’m paying for have declined to hold up their end – why, through taxation, should I be held to my end?
Generally in a contract, if one side fails to deliver the other side isn’t forced to pay anyway.

  11. Ontario voters had better not turf out McWimpy at election time. If they do, Indians will demand compensation for the loss of their prize trained poodle.

  12. We have to put up with this guy for another year, Recall Legislation Anyone!!! Now it explains where my Health Tax Money has gone..
Recall Legislation needs to be put in place…
If you screwed up at your job like this guy has you’d be fired & not in 4 years.

  13. “The “Balkanization” of Canada is afoot. …-”
Thank goodness, it’s about time. What Quebec was unable to do in 1995, maybe the Six Nations will do today. Ding…dong…the death knell of liberalism and the folly of individualism. The collective, the tribe, the ethny, triumphs once again.
    Prof. Kevin MacDonald:
“Whether Western individualistic societies are able to defend the legitimate interests of the European-derived peoples remains questionable. The present tendencies lead one to predict that unless individualism is abandoned the end result will be a substantial diminution of the genetic, political, and cultural influence of European peoples. It would be an unprecedented unilateral abdication of such power and certainly an evolutionist would expect no such abdication without at least a phase of resistance by a significant segment of the population…”

  14. I can’t believe what I’m hearing if it is true. The complete lack of regard for the citizens of this town and the public in general is appalling. The man who is responsible should be stripped of office for such an outrageous act. First, they fail to deal with the situation in any productive manner wasting time and money, then the government uses more money to buy off the trouble makers. It just defies all logic.
This type of action will not come to a good end when someone decides to stand up for themselves. All of this inaction and backdoor politics will turn into an ugly situation. The Ontario government keeps pouring fuel on the fire and I don’t want to see an explosion.
The solution at this point is simple, put the criminals in jail, compensate the people of Caledonia for lost revenue and hardships from the salaries of the people who decided to take no action, and inform the natives that they can use the proper court process or go to jail. The judge has ordered the protestors removed from the land, the OPP needs to have the power to make it so. This is just rediculous.

  15. Outrageous. If that S-O-B has sold out the people of Ontario to violence he shouldn’t just be turfed out of office, what’s left of the rule of law in these parts should be used to see him prosecuted for public endangerment.

  16. We have already seen that forcing Israelis out of Gaza in a misguided attempt at reaching out to “Palestine” in good faith has only made the situation worse.
    There may be a parallel.

  17. ET, no opposition to McGuinty? Surely you’re being sarcastic there?
I would contend that the Ontario Liberals are toast.
Ontario will see its serious error in electing the Liberals and bring back the Tories, who did their job properly (certainly under Mike Harris).
Ontarians don’t want any nonsense such as we’ve witnessed in Caledonia. They just won’t accept the Liberal regime’s utterly spineless, appeasenik-style handling of the situation.
Ontarians also will not reward the racial inequality being fostered by the McGuinty Liberals.
The problem with the left is that it doesn’t think things through and just does whatever seems to be the most “progressive” option, without any consideration for possible deleterious consequences stemming therefrom.

  18. Who would want to live there anyway, surrounded by angry natives? Who needs the aggravation? I think it shows an abundance of caution to get residence out of the line of fire, figurtively speaking of course.

  19. Steve D. You have to be kidding right? How would you like to be told that you have to give up your current life and move. Sure there is some monetary considerations but what about the lives these people have. You can’t simply expect them to pick up and move because the local native reserve doesn’t agree with a LEGAL court decision. I don’t know what is hard to understand about the situation, the natives do not own the land as shown in the court of law and anyone resorting to violence or criminal acts should be arrested.

  20. Maybe someone here can explain the logic of anyone using the word’progressive’in dealing with the libs…to me it sums up exactly what they are NOT!(kind of like calling the NDP ‘business friendly’)Dithering is indeed most apt,as it certainly was the profound tactic Mcguilty relied on until he switched to bribery…
Where most of us agree’ethnic cleansing’is a relatively honest description, does ANYONE outside of conservative blogs give a sh*t our fellow Canadians have been forsaken in such a manner?People I meet in the real world are oblivious and quite frankly, denying this could happen in Canada!…Damn the MSM !!

  21. Steve D., are you actually condoning/recommending/rationalizing ethnic cleansing as long as those being cleansed are of a relatively pale skin complexion?
I would hope not, for if you are, that would be yet another example of leftist racism.
Perhaps you’d like to withdraw or clarify?
Following your logic, it would also stand to reason then that the state should buy Natives’ houses so they can move away from an area surrounded by angry nonNatives?
That’d also get residents “out of the line of fire”, wouldn’t it?
Seems also you accept unreservedly the possibility of “fire”? Is this the kind of Canada you want? Is this how you believe differences should be settled? Rather than via a court of law? My-o-my!
I recommend you think long and hard and clarify or withdraw.
You and the leftist ideology are under scrutiny.

  22. Canadian Observer said:
Maybe someone here can explain the logic of anyone using the word’progressive’in dealing with the libs…to me it sums up exactly what they are NOT!
    “Reverse Psychology?”

  23. I totally agree that McGuinty has totally gone the wrong way.
Scenario: You have two kids, a mortgage, and your largest asset your home and property is worth squat. Take the money and run.
Having said that,it should never have come to this. It should have been dealt with months ago.
I live in Ontario near a reserve. I haven’t checked whether there is a claim against it, but Alberta’s looking mighty good right now.

  24. SteveD. I don’t get it. What part of this screw up by the spineless liberals don’t you get. They did not have the balls to do the right thing and that would have been to end this with the first court injunction. Instead they tie the hands of the OPP and let the natives continue to break the law. I believe that the law should apply the same to you, me or any group. Wake up man.
    Mike

  25. “I notice McAsswipe isn’t giving the indians HIS home.
The man should be dragged behind a bus from Queen’s park to Caledonia.”
I find this threat a bit beyond what’s acceptable on a public blog.
‘”The real problem is that ‘whitie’ gorging on donuts complains in coffee shops while ‘natives’ tear down hydro towers and cause in your face havoc.
Which squeaky wheel is going to get the grease?’
The squeaky Caledonians are certainly getting the grease first! One and a half million dollars in compensation, homes purchased above market value.

  26. “Where most of us agree’ethnic cleansing’is a relatively honest description, does ANYONE outside of conservative blogs give a sh*t our fellow Canadians have been forsaken in such a manner?People I meet in the real world are oblivious and quite frankly, denying this could happen in Canada!…Damn the MSM !!”
The most relevant statement to Canada that I have read. Sadly this is just another in the long list of evidence that not too many care about what happens to their fellow Canadians. There have been many instances over the years that the MSM has failed to report where Canadians have been denied even the right to life in this country. There was an elderly man who could have gotten a drug free from the US to help lengthen his life–he suffers from multiple melanoma. He was denied this drug by Ontario because it is also produced here so he should have to cought up the $20,000/year rather than have if free. He lost his appeal to the Liberals. This is just one example. Unless we get involved they will pick us off one by one. We complain but do nothing. There are more of us than there are of them(government). We don’t have the pc mentality working for us, after all we just pay the bills–but we then should have the power to cut off the funds for the likes of McLiar et al. Really, we only have ourselves to blame. They know we will roll over and play dead–maybe not vote for them–but they will be Opposition and still be in the trough. The power of our vote has been neutered–and lulled us to sleep. We have to take the next step.

  27. Well I just had a thought.
In 1977, my grandfather sold the family cottage north of Grand Bend. It was lakefront property with an incredible view, and he was taken in by a shifty realtor who sold it for a paltry $20K. Small change even in those days. Several generations of our family enjoyed use of the land and water. Fishing and cooking our food, engaging in family rituals such as watching the sun set into Lake Huron. The property even bore our family name emblazoned on the gate.
Well I want it back. I have just moved back to Ontario and I want to have it for myself. Or at least flip it for a hefty sum. So if I occupy the place, McGuinty should buy out the current owners because a family myth has been passed down to me through the generations that my poor ancestors were taken in by the crooked hucksters.
That’s about the same thing as Caledonia in my view.

  28. anybody got the .pdf’s on these house purchases?
    I need detailed documentation.
THATS the kind of thing I relish shoving in the face of the local lieberal mpp.

  29. This is NOT ethnic cleansing. It’s an insult to the actual victims of ethnic cleansing (e.g. in Somalia or ex-Yugoslavia) to use the term in this case.
This is, however, flagrant misuse of eminent domain privileges, which just illustrates that in Canada there is no such thing as property rights.

  30. Canadian Observer is correct. Very few people in Ontario know about this story at all.
It is not just the gutless, spineless politicians that are to blame for this mess. The PC MSM must take responsibility for not reporting the news.
Just wait until Whitie finally says enough is enough and takes matters into their own hands, the MSM will be there to show what racist bastards we are.
There will be lots of pictures of wide eyed frightened little native children to show just how guilty we all are. None of any burning bridges or roads dug up by backhoes though.

  31. ah ! yes ! johan i has just pointed out the really significant lasting issue here.
    no property rights in canukistan.
no mention of it whatsoever in the great turdeau scribed canukistan constipation, er, constitution. no mention of the individual’s property rights over the privilige of the state to grab anything it wants.
remember, this is the same turdeau that stole all that land for the never-built pickering airport.

  32. Johan, I don’t think anyone here is suggesting that a few homes being expropriated by a ludicrous government is the same as hundreds of thousands or millions of people being displaced/murdered. Look up metaphorical in your Funk and Wagnells.
That being said, I have sent two e-mails to the Premier (copying in my local MPP) expessing my concern and disgust at their actions to date. So far, no repsonse (it’s been several weeks since the first). I hope John Tory is taking notes.

  33. So let me get this straight. You suggest the people stay there. Don’t worry, if there is arson or someone is shot, or there is property damage raising your insurance rates in doesn’t matter because we have justice on our side…after they break the law. No justice can’t return your heirlooms or family if they are burnt or killed, and we can’t do anything about higher insurance rates, but its more important to be macho here. Testosterone is more important than anything else. Get real. Its only a house, there are millions in Ontario. I’d rather sleep in peace knowing everyone is safe.

  34. A year ago my moniker was Anne (mad in Ontario), changed it after Harper won but now may have to change it to (seriously pissed in Ontario!) This government makes me want to puke!
I would complain to my MPP but guess who that is? Howard Hampton, I am sure he is getting ready to whine again: “Will this government please stand up and explain these actions?! Why has the Ontario liberal government not gone further and given the entire city of Hamilton to the Indians?? This is a disgrace!” At least I can agree with his likely last sentence, windbag!

  35. DJ’s posting, 5:15 P.M.
    “Prof. Kevin Macdonald…”
    Prescience, I fear.

  36. Everyone wonders around blindly not paying attention and then are amazed when Liberalism comes up and smacks them upside the head. I wouldn’t count on any of this making it into our MSM. I have nothing to say other than we reap what we sew!

  37. wonderin if those “proud ‘n nobles” freelance…
cause my neighbour is really pissin me off…

  38. Finish the sentence.
First they came for the Caledonians, then they came for…

  39. I’ve got a constitutional question about all this.
The Constitution Act of 1867 gives the federal government the power to make criminal law but leaves enforcement in the hands of the provinces.
What happens if a province refuses to enforce federal criminal law — as is happening in Caledonia? Can the federal government step in and take over?

  40. Steve d:
I admit I have some sympathy for you because at least you stay and participate in the debate, unlike some drive-by trolls who just cruise in and leave gratuitius insults and leave…
Having said that, I invite you to share this thought. Let’s just assume that, here in my house (it is in the Vancouver area so you can imagine what I paid for it), some group (let’s call them the thetans) set up barricades and deny me access to or from my house. Further, they start burning down the infrastructure around where I live. Being a taxpayer, I have an obvious expectation that when something like this happens, the publicly-funded police (that I pay for), will do something to stop what is obviously unlawful activity. Because as a peaceful, tax-paying, honest member of my society, I expect that.
But what I get instead, is NO enforcement action. NO enforcement of legally-issued court injunctions. NO protection of MY rights to the peaceful enjoyment of my property.
What am I to think? Apparently, the Thetans, clearly a privileged group, apparently beyond the reaches of the laws that I respect, TRUMP my rights.
Do I have a right to get pissed about it? I think so. And when MY government’s answer to the problem is to offer to buy my house, which I love and enjoy, should I not get pissed off about it?
    Think about it…
Frankly, my ultimate response, in the wake of no support from the public institutions that I had thought were there to serve me, would be to introduce a couple of selected Thetans to my two close friends…Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson…

  41. Don’t look to the Feds to help you folks, they set up the race based Commercial Fishery on the Fraser out here on the left coast. If you are of a special race the laws of Canada don’t apply to you, only whitey, the second class citizen, who gets to pay for all this crap.
No wonder the Lieberals want to take away our guns before we really get pissed and decide to do something about it.
Oh, I just remembered, wasn’t it the good folks in Ontario who put and kept the lying, thieving crooks in power in the first place?
    Just a Western Redneck observation!!!!

  42. I see Steve D. refuses to address my question re. his views. He instead goes on to sprout more nonsense, believing he’s being smart or something.
Wonder if he realizes most folks think he’s a stupid nut? Probably dismisses all rational discourse as crazy.
Yep; leftism is a mental disorder!
Like I said, he and the left are currently under scrutiny.
It’s looking more and more like the left is racist while believing otherwise.

  43. Hmm…
If I personally have any advice to offer anyone who wishes to buy a house in Canada, it’s the following procedure:
    1. First purchase 1:50,000 scale Energy, Mines and Resources maps for the prospective house location(s) you have in mind.
    2. These maps show all IR (Indian Reservations).
    3. With its centre placed right over your house location, draw a 50-km radius circle.
    4. If any part of the circle, in any direction, touches or covers an IR:
    5. DO NOT PURCHASE.
    6. Repeat procedure as necessary.

  44. Hmm…

  45. Careful study of this thread turns up one positive posible cure for this injustice.
The federal government does have the right and obligation to step in when a provincial government allows innocent citizens to be trampled and fails to enforce basic Canadian law to protect citizens.
Otherwise the Ontario government has probably brashly sold treaty lands for private development and are attempting to avoid millions in lawsuits by sacrificing a few defencless citizens. TG

  46. But why is everyone ignoring Justice Marshall’s injunction to clear the protestors off the land in question? I doubt the McGuinty would listen to the feds any more than he would the courts.
