  1. I got it! They are all from Toronto! They must be Liberals then. This CSI stuff is easy.

  2. The police spent two years painstakingly putting together enough evidence to hopefully prevent terrorists from succeeding. The last thing they want to do is give anything, no gifts big or small to the defence. That is why you will hear no statements that can be deemed racist or prejudicial from these men. They don’t want to have happen to their case what happened in the O.J.Simpson case. In that case racial prejudice tipped the case in O.J’s favour in spite of a plethora of physical evidence. You wouldn’t want that now would you??

  3. I thought I read “CSL Toronto,” and thought “damn, is that air guitar playing POS back on the scene?”

  4. I’m wondering if Scott Brison’s rethinking his career choices in light of recent news stories revealing the intentions of the disaffected young Islamic scamps’ proposed bus trip to Parliament Hill. There being a real chance he could wind up giving somebody head and all. But not in a good way.

  5. The sad truth is their chances of being found guilty are in direct proportion to how much cash family, friends and sympathizers can find to throw at lawyers.

  6. Actually,PCCSI would make a good skit for some good young cutting edge comedy troupe here in Canada.Hmmm,on second thought,do we even have one of those any more?

  7. It really annoys me when this comes up. I spent an enormous amount of time watching the OJ trial (waiting for a knee operation, the joys of medicare). Anyone who watched the whole cases knows that they did not prove he was guilty. The DAs and police made huge blunders and the defense trashed their DNA evidence. Everyone thinks OJ did it but it was not proved that he did beyond a resonable doubt. That is why he is free.
It looks like the RCMP have done a much better job than the LAPD did, lets hope the crown does a better job than the LA District Attorney’s Office.

I watched it too. Very carefully, every day. They had the evidence but when the race card was used and then Furmen was shown to perhaps be racist then it was over. The glove didn’t help either. Almost anyone else would have been convicted. Money buys more than fancy houses and cars it can also buy freedom.

  9. Judging by what friends and relatives have been quoted in the paper, the common denominator is that they are all good boys, who do charity work in their spare time, and who would never do anything violent. Their love for Canada gushes out of them. They have never been in trouble before (well, except for the two that were already in custody for weapons offenses).

I really disagee, I would say their case died when Dr. Lee showed that the DNA evidence was garbage. It cast doubt on the quality of all the other police work. The fact Van Adder (sp)took OJ’s blood sample from the building where it was supposed to be kept as evidence to the crime scene and then came back with less blood really didn’t help them either. Yes I know that they got the tech to sign a paper months later saying that he made a mistake when he filled out the paperwork the first time but the fact he was “ill and not available for crossexamination” makes that claim a little hard to believe. I want to be really clear on this. I don’t think he is innocent, I just don’t think they proved he was guilty.
