Zacarias Moussaoui Confesses

Fox News;

Al Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui helped himself get one huge step closer toward getting the death penalty Monday when he testified that not only did he know about the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks ahead of time but that he and shoe-bomber Richard Reid were supposed to hijack a fifth airplane and fly it into the White House.

Now, on to the larger question – just how long before these people thicken the plot and uncover evidence that Moussaoui is in reality, George W. Bush’s secret half-brother?

  1. As per my post in the Baldwin blog, I won’t be watching any Charlie Sheen stuff either. These people are some of those loony left we are not supposed to berate and should be reasonable with.?? As for Moussaoui, there apparently is some question as to whether he is setting up Richard Reid but I don’t get the motive there. I don’t think I’d want to claim him as “one of ours”.

  2. Giving him the death penalty would be too easy for him, it would only get him closer to his “paradise”. They should make him rot behind bars for the rest of his miserable life.

  3. With 3000 life sentences, he should have plenty to think about.
Seeing as they are supposed to get 72 virgins in their version of paradise, I say let him live.
A lifetime of no sex with virgins, but rather with a big hairy guy named “Bubba”.
Now that would be a real penalty, in the neighbourhood of “cruel and unusual punishment”.
Mess with their head, its better than extinguishing their body.

  4. Seeing as how his conspiracy theory has been shot full of holes,
I can hear Charlie Sheen already…
But, er.. someone must have paid that Moussaoui
    guy to say that…!
    It’s all George Bush’s fault.

Rumsfeld Sees no Victims in Al Qaeda
    The Washington Times ^ | 3/28/06 | Rowan Scarborough

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld delivered harsh words to war critics yesterday, saying some view al Qaeda operatives as victims, not the enemy that has killed Americans repeatedly.
In a speech to military officers at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pa., he also criticized previous administrations — without naming them — for failing to take on Islamic terrorists despite a series of attacks, including the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
“Before September 11, 2001, there was somewhat of a misunderstanding in America about terrorists, and in some circles, I suppose, there really is today,” Mr. Rumsfeld said. “Even today, some folks view terrorists as criminals, not as combatants. Some even consider them victims.”
He said that during the 1980s and ’90s, “the West was ambivalent how to counter extremist ideology and that type of aggression, and as a result, terrorists became increasingly emboldened. We should have learned the timeless truth that weakness is provocative.”
Mr. Rumsfeld then listed the history of terrorist attacks on Americans, most occurring during the Clinton administration. The report submitted by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States chronicled deep disagreements among the CIA, White House and Pentagon on how to deal with al Qaeda. +

  6. Why exactly did this guy confess yesterday? He could have done it from the begining. Is there any indicatio that e actually had plans with Richard Reid to fly another plan?
I wonder if he’s hoping for the death penalty. Maybe someone told him he still get his garranty of salvation and 72 virgins if he’s executed for Islam.

  7. mark & largs
    LOL,
Charlie Sheen is an idiot he should try to play it on screen and not off. Hot shots was funny in a retarded way now he lost the funny bit.

  8. Ryan:…I believe you’ve just asked the $64K question…there is no way of really knowing if he’s telling the truth now. But the story he is telling aligns with the prosecutor’s (State’s) position. It makes me think ‘they’ will attempt to get further mileage out of this for ‘their’ unacceptable ’cause’. Exactly what?…I have a few ideas but I’ll watch this play itself out. I don’t intend to speculate at this point.

  9. Is there even a slight possibility that one reason for declining box office receipts is a direct result of the idiotic stmts made by many of the so called celebs re Bush and the war. When most of those commenting have never finished college or have failed or been kicked out for cheating, how can they call Bush an uneducated idiot. The scarry thing is some people actually listen to them and the media falls all over them. Haven’t seen or heard anything re Micheal Moore lately, did he crawl in a hole, also Cindy Sheenan has gone from TV.
I also think this group of lefties is in for a big shock next november and in 2008.

  10. Islam: The religion of Moussaoui & the flying swords. +
    IBD: A Religion of Peace?
Its taken mainstream media an incredible amount of time to reach this point (and the New York Times never will), but an Investors Business Daily editorial is finally asking some of the right questions: Religion Of Peace?
What better time for CAIR and other Muslim leaders to step up, cut through the politically correct fog and provide factual answers to the questions that give so many non-Muslims pause?
Generally speaking, those questions focus on whether the Quran does indeed promote violence against non-Muslims, and how many of the terrorists ideas about the violent jihad, the self-immolation, the kidnappings, even the beheadings come right out of the text? But even more specifically:
Is Islam the only religion with a doctrine, theology and legal system that mandates warfare against unbelievers?
Is it true that 26 chapters of the Quran deal with jihad, a fight able-bodied believers are obligated to join (Surah 2:216), and that the text orders Muslims to instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliever and to smite above their necks (8:12)?
Is the test of loyalty to Allah not good acts or faith in general, but martyrdom that results from fighting unbelievers (47:4) the only assurance of salvation in Islam (4:74; 9:111)?
Are the sins of any Muslim who becomes a martyr forgiven by the very act of being slain while slaying the unbelievers (4:96)?
And is it really true that martyrs are rewarded with virgins, among other carnal delights, in Paradise (38:51, 55:56; 55:76; 56:22)?
Are those unable to do jihad such as women or the elderly required to give asylum and aid to those who do fight unbelievers in the cause of Allah (8:74)?
Does Islam advocate expansion by force? And is the final command of jihad, as revealed to Muhammad in the Quran, to conquer the world in the name of Islam (9:29)?
Is Islam the only religion that does not teach the Golden Rule (48:29)? Does the Quran instead teach violence and hatred against non-Muslims, specifically Jews and Christians (5:50)?
There are other questions, but these should do for a start. +

  11. Would this dunderhead submit to a “lie detector” test? One side of me says, stick a needle in that SOB and save tax payers a bunch of money, but the other side of me says, throw the as*ho*e in jail until he dies a very uncomfortable death. Screw the virgins!!! What kind of backwards religion is islam??! You butcher{or want to} a bunch of innocent people and you’re rewarded by a bunch of virgins on the other side if you’re “dealt” with? Where’d all these “virgins” come from? Although, I have to say that watching some news clips from the middle east, I can see why they are “still” virgins!! We had a virgin in Sturgis once, … ugliest kid in grade three!!
I’m sitting on the fence on this one but kinda hope they kill the bas*ard.

  12. Moussaoui has already said that it is permissible to lie for jihad. He and Richard Reid make a great pair-Duh!

  13. I once heard a suggestion that the remains of suicide bombers be publicly buried with pig remains.I guess this would “dessicrate” a Muslim grave and deny them their hairy virgins, thus stopping their leaders from using this as am inducement.
Anyone ever hear such an idea before?Would be nice if it had some merit.

  14. I wonder why the various lefty nutwings that usually comment here are suddenly so silent. Could it be that the foundation of their reality has been shaken, if not demolished? Or are they manufacturing a replacement brick in their conspiracy argument?
I guess we’ll wait and see. Should be fun.

  15. 3000 innocent people dead in one day?
Yes, this animal should be executed. Then we can be absolutely sure he will never, ever do it again.
The method of execution that comes to mind?
    Firing squad.
The open basement of the World Trade Center.
Firing squad to be comprised of volunteers from the New York Fire Department.

  16. I was doing some reading on people that have died and where sent back(no other way to put it) and from what iv read there seems to be an after life…near as i can tell the muslims got it wrong….must be a shock when they get to the other side.

  17. Why are western nations granting jihadi terrorists the luxury of our civilian courts and legal systems? This trash should really be dealt with through military courts and if found guilty – the firing squad.
After all, they have declared war against our societies. When captured, they should be not be given access to civilian courts.

  18. If, as seems probable, Moussaoui gets the death sentence, I can’t wait for The Usual Suspects to crawl out from the woodwork.
The same idiots who got their knickers in a knot over the execution of Cripps co-founder and multiple murderer Tookie Williams will be crying into their decaf latts over poor old Moussaoui:
“He’s still a human being”; “life is sacred”; “the state has no right to commit murder”…and you know, lots of “America brought 9/11 on itself” ignoramuses and Jihadist sympathizers.

  19. I have seen some famous arguments by American attorneys such as, “If the glove fits, you must acquit”
But the defence arguments to the jury about Moussaoui take the first prize. Defence counsel argued that his client is such a liar that he can not be believed when he confessed on the stand.” Now that has got to be a first.

  22. Shmoo:…probably in court, yes, but don’t forget Shelley Martell Hampton (“Happy” Howard’s wife…HH = Ont ndp leader) when she developed the “truth detector machine”…when caught in a lie she wanted to take a lie detector test to prove she was telling the truth…that she had lied…
