Conflict of Interest and Post-Employment Code for Public Office Holders imposes upon both cabinet ministers and ministerial staff the obligation, inter alia, “to uphold the highest ethical standards so that public confidence and trust in the integrity, objectivity and impartiality of government are conserved and enhanced,” and “to perform their official duties and arrange their private affairs in a manner that will bear the closest public scrutiny.”

If the tapes were “doctored”, as the Librano’s would like us to believe, why are they not bringing the RCMP in to lay criminal charges to a criminal offense? This is the only defense the Librano’s have, and to try to convince Canadians of “altered tapes”, tests the intellegence of Canadians. Lay a charge against Grewal, lets see the outcome of the charge. And the fact that the Librano’s did not inform the RCMP that Grewall was elledgingly contacting the Librano’s for political favours, which is a criminal act in itself, proves to this writer that the Librano’s are carrying on their “busness as usual” which is lying again.
One thing for sure, we have witnessed Ann (the screecher) McLennan at her lying best and Herr Martin at his lying best in the “House”, (as far as that goes Martin has already changed his story from day to day,) if they cannot prove their case. not surprising to this writer.
The fact that the RCMP has NOT been called in by the Libranos is all the proof I need.

Someone should like deliver the message to the Lack of Ethics Commissioner that he’ll damn well ‘clear’ anyone Paulie Librano or his sidekick Corrado Volpe wants ‘cleared’… if he knows what’s good for him.
I tink dis guy is forgettin’ he’s in Canada… and who he’s workin’ for? It’d be a shame to have to shut him up fuh good….
Very good points Stephen. I agree entirerly that bribing the opposition is business as usual for em. They casually throw our money around every where else, why not a little bribery to secure their place in power.
Nice try Daniel. Everyone is listening to a CD copy made 2 weeks ago. Ever successfully rip audio tape onto CD without any artifacts? The only foresnic of interest will be on the audio tapes in the hands of the RCMP.
An “ethics commissioner” in a Liberal government is like a dung beetle in a stable.
The kind ‘altering’ of the tapes would be impossible to do, given the massive chunks of conversation with little or no interruption in flow. Leave it to the Librano$ to try to lie their way out of this thing. Their whole sorry history is one of bribes and corruption, and you only have to look at the recent defection of Stick Chick to know that’s how they play ball. Trouble is, all the media outlets are leading with tampered tapes, blah blah. The audio engineer the CBC talked to found one spot that he thinks was spliced, but that doesn’t excuse Murphy and Dosanjh. When Ujjie was Premier out here, he took a bunch of business guys to India, accompanied by the usual media hordes. He went back to his village where he was introduced and greeted as the PM of Canada, and he never did correct Indian officials. He was driven out of office here, and only joined the Libs for a seat at the table with a big portfolio. He knows payola when he sees it.

Iron Lady…this so fits Ujjie’s profile.I work with an immigrant from India.He says that even in India,the Punjabis are known as the biggest crooks and will do anything to obtain and keep power and money.
When things get this badly rotted, they are normally thrown out and refreshed with new.
Enough demand letters to Governor General Clarksen and there will be tremendous pressure to do the right thing. She will have to dissolve parliament and allow a long over due freshening to take place.
Check a letter for that purpose at BendGovernment.blogspot.com. If it’s faulty or too long, let me know, or create your own.
If this is not the correct time to get things repaired, How much more do we require then?

The didn’t splice the juicy. As “Good Mr. Iron Man” said…Let Canadians decide for themselves. I would say he lived up to his end of the bargain. Why didn’t he switch anyway.
