I understood instinctively that getting two scientists to agree at what time the sun is coming up tomorrow is--at best--difficult.But here were tens of thousands, from around the world, all agreeing on one issue: that there is no scientific evidence of man-made global warming.
The numbers of scientists staggered me--17,100 basic and applied American scientists, two thirds with advanced degrees, are against the Kyoto Agreement. The Heidelberg Appeal--which states that there is no scientific evidence for man-made global warming, has been signed by over 4,000 scientists from around the world since the petition's inception. I strongly questioned these high numbers, since I've had benefit of the Canadian government's public relations machine on this issue. Dr. Leahey has since sent documentation to back his figures up.
All those scientists were in total agreement: the Kyoto Protocol was complete fiction.
They made a 27 minute documentary - paid for it themselves. And why haven't you heard about this? Read for yourself.

The article doesn't mention whether they tried to get it into any festivals. Most documentary makers go that route rather than presuming that their work should be on national TV

According the the article I read earlier this week about it, the quality is very poor, even on the original. You'd think if the U of C is going to make a documentary, they could use the proper resources to do it right.
It's still very informative. I'd like to see it done right, especially since I have the resources myself to do HD video production.
Friends of Science myth myths:
1) Temperatures have increased around urban areas (�heat islands�) which distorts the overall picture; whereas accurate satellite, balloon and long-term mountain top measurements have observed no increase at all.
Which of course, explains why surface sea temperature validate the warming trends.
Actually, the land, marine, and borehole data essentially agree. In fact there is little difference between the long term rural record (0.7C/century) and the full set of temperature readings (0.65C/century).
This is one of the reasons that the IPCC scientists concluded the Urban Heat Island effect contributed only 0.05 degrees C per century.
