For a time last night, my post on Paul Martin’s “Rogue Government” at Outside The Beltway was the number one Google News hit for “Paul Martin”. This morning, it’s still holding at #3, right behind stories at CTV and the Washington Post.
Remember those days of writing a letter to the editor, in hopes your (edited) views might see publication?
They’re over, baby.

Indeed. Unfortunately, Google is working to undo that, so that only “reputable” publications will be listed high in the rankings. So, a local rag in Pudunck, Iowa reprinting the AP story will be ranked higher than informed commentary from a blogger.
The Internet is an incredible gift and a wonderful medium which we can all use to reach out and touch people in a way that is not threatening. It can also be a tool for good or evil. I’m delighted to see sites such as Small Dead Animals and many others giving the current political scene in Canada the attention it so much deserves. The MSM will not do this, because they are owned and controlled by a very small cartel of powerful individuals who are the ones actually running this country. But these people need a willing partner in the government of Canada to implement their objectives. The present Liberal Party of Canada has been that willing partner for obvious reasons. They are for sale. It’s time to put a stop to this. Your blog and others like it can and are making a huge contribution to this. Keep up the good work.
The only problem I see is the people of Canada. I am in no way convinced that they really care enough about honesty and integrity, or even understand what is going on, to get on board and vote this government out.
I’d like to see someone actually list the cost of all the programs like the Gun Law, Kyoto, etc. and show what these programs are costing each Canadian out of pocket. It is considerable, into the thousands of dollars each year. Maybe then people would pay attention.
In the end, the people of Canada will get what they deserve. I wonder how long it will take Canadians to get used to a Canada that consists of a separate Quebec and a separate Alberta, with the rest of Canada trying to ‘work together’. That may be the way it’s heading over the next several years.
Plus if your ideas are too right wing you will be ignored in their searches.
I tried finding a biblical quote for my wife for a project in University. Google couldn’t find it Alta Vista found 5 references. Censorship!
There are lots of search engines I’m not using one run by left wing wankers.
Though I still send in letters to the editor hoping someone will publish them.
Perhaps the indifference to the reigning kleptocrats displayed by all too many Canadians is a true indication that Canada, as a nation, has withered away. I believe this process began long ago and that Trudeaumania was actually the beginning of national death throes. Now, the flag should be a fig leaf. It is a pity.
Main-Stream Media Modus Operandi Explained
Reading Daniel Chandler’s study of Marxist Media Theory suddenly I understand how the Canadian main-stream media works and how the Liberal party uses it to control the masses. In a word; hegemony
Dear editor of SDA,
I found your article “The Power of Blogs” to be an accurate analysis of how media is changing and a hopeful look as to where it will go. Small Dead Animals should be congratulated on its wide audience and willingness to break mainstream media conventions. Please renew my free subscription.

Her marital status won’t matter soon. If Martin’s crew gets back watch out for the ‘Polygamy Act’
